Rats inside the hotel. Floors were stained and dirty. Mold was pervasive and the floors feel rotted below the carpets. The dirt and grime from the air conditioning units can be seen even on the outside of the hotel--if you have any sensitivity, you will have trouble breathing. Only one elevator was working and sometimes none were working. Parking is extremely difficult, even in a compact car. The pool is smaller than the room and only a few guests can use it at one time. The breakfast was extremely underwhelming. The hotel charged my card 4 times for the room, and the charges are still pending.

Customers are no more King, anyway! This hotel is called"recently renovated"; very cheap renovation! This is an old motel/Inn which just remodeled in a very cheap way! Windows are with thin Glass which you can hear any noise from outside! There is Highway close to this area which you feel it is inside the room... The way you feel the Highway noise!!! When you complain about anything the front desk offers you to leave tomorrow... And we will pay you later fully from next day... Not from today if you checked in 2 hours ago... Check other options and other hotels/Inn if you can... The customer is not the King anymore... Don't forget!

Mrs. Liz was a blessing. If it weren't for her I would have checked out and found another hotel. The younger Hispanic lady who works at the desk was awesome. The cleaning lady on the 1st floor (thicker young lady) kept my room perfect. The hotel is being renovated so bear with the appearance. The breakfast was really good. My room flooded due to the heavy rain which left a wet smell in the room. The nightshift wasn't as customer service friendly but they did the job. If you have any business on Naval Base San Diego this hotel is a 11 minute drive to and from the base. Very convenient. Would I stay again.....probably.

Stayed there for 3 nights with a couple of friends. The room we were in was a bit small, particularly the sink area, but it seemed clean and was otherwise reasonably appointed. The breakfast is quite good with delicious cinnamon rolls and a pancake machine that makes 2 pancakes for you in about a minute. Lots of food and other shopping options within walking distance. Easy access to highways to get to where you might want to go in San Diego. About 15 minutes drive to the airport.

Overall it was a great stay.. Breakfast options are delicious.. The pool was nice and warm at night. The tv was hard to figure out so we just ending up hooking the laptop up to the tv instead. I guess the only other thing I didn't like was the shower curtains.. Water tends to seep through and you walk out to a puddle.. Definitely will stay here again!

Close to the freeway. Too much loud of construction happening, fridge wasn't working right upon arrival and & maintenance came to fix but never really got cold and questionable stains on the bedding. No airport shuttle service as an outside vendor said, very disappointing as this was one of the main reasons why I chose this location. Buffet breakfast is decent. Not worth the $130-150 per night cost. Poor lighting in the parking lot very comfort if arriving late. Very small parking lot. I will.try another hotel next time.

Very convenient to the cites, airport, naval base, and trolley. The service I received was very helpful and polite. The breakfast was hands down a true spread of food and tasted great. The bedroom was completely comfortable with a bed and a couch that converts to a bed if you have extra guest. The TV could have been a little bigger but was properly sized and swiveled so that the angle was perfect for viewing at the desk, couch, bed, or sink area. I had a good view of the area from the 4th floor window and from the stair balcony at the end of the hallway. I will visit this location again on my next visit.

Stayed a week here. Clean room, comfortable bed, good hot breakfast. Remodeled bathroom in an old building. But never could figure out how to keep water in shower. After any shower length, there was a troubling amount on water on the floor. We didn't want to move so we took short showers which didn't solve the problem but kept it manageable. Hallway was a little dark. Not well lit with dark carpeting. Nice view and breeze from balcony at ends of hallway. Elevator felt like it could break down at any time. Slow, made noises, and occasionally shooked..but nevertheless always worked. Good, friendly staff. Good location near several restaurants, a grocery store, and the freeway. Entrance drive was tight though, a little tricky to get in and out.

This is step 1 of many steps I'm going to take to make Mario the supervisor accountable for his shady actions. BEWARE!! Do not agree to any prices this hotel tells you unless it's on paper. We were given an amount, paid the said amount and out of nowhere we heard a knock on our door. It's Mario saying he's charging us $100 per night more than what we were told. What supervisor of a reputable hotel chain knocks on your door to collect more money? He was demanding we pay or leave and then he sticks a card key in the door to come back in and argue more? I'm filing a lawsuit against Holiday Inn I have everything recorded. I'm completely blown away by what just happened!

They screwed up our reservation and wouldn’t fix the issue. The hotel is old, dark and dreary. Would not recommend this place for the money you can certainly find something much better!

Convenient location just off the freeway. It's not a luxury hotel but has everything you need. The cinnamon rolls for breakfast were excellent! 😋. It's in a location where you will need a vehicle if you're staying in San Diego.

This hotel is perfectly fine, clean room, great free breakfast with biscuits and gravy, sausage or bacon, sweet rolls, etc., very friendly staff. The shower spray was rather weak, but that is to be expected nowadays, I suppose. Handy location right off the 805.

A standard, somewhat old, HIE. Currently, June 2023 having renovations. Right now it is a bit tired around the edges. Room was clean but the easy chair was armless and not particularly comfortable. The room I was in was a connecting room so it may be the next room had a love seat, which is my preference. Bed was a little softer than the very firm I like, but I am sure it would please most people . The staff was excellent, friendly and helpful. Best aspect is the location. Near the freeway but located up off the main road, it is quieter than most hotels similarly located There are some very good, informal dining spots near ; Bonchon ( fast Korean) Golden Mandarin (wings!)

Great hotel for the price. Much more reasonably priced than options in San Diego, but still close to the action. We were less than 20 minutes from SeaWorld and even closer to the zoo. Lots of restaurants nearby. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very responsive. When our TV wasn't working, they came right up and fixed it. Breakfast was good, good combination of cold and hot options.

Lots of renovations going on I wish if they told us during the booking time. The temporary breakfast area is the reception area and its kind of kids playing area too. You can imagine the episode while taking your breakfast. Entry and existing the hotel is pretty dangerous as you enter a busy road with blind spot, be careful people. Check-in staff are pretty nice.

The room was great with an acceptable view. Breakfast was great which provides a good start up for me before leaving home in the morning. The bathroom can be improved if the door is able to seal properly from water leaking out after taking a bath. Coming into the hotel was easy but to drive out, there's a blind spot on the left side and you have to be careful for the upcoming cars on the road.

Easy check in experience. Parking was easy. Late check out policy was flexible. Rooms were clean and modern. Breakfast had a lot of delicious healthy options.

Pretty run down, lobby is very dim, dark, unwelcoming and cold. Our room was just ok but the entire hotel could use a deep cleaning Especially the hallway carpet. Elevator was very old, janky, and sounded like it was going to stop working at any moment.
