I stay one night at the beginning of my tripand had a great experience. So I decided to come back for the last 6 nights of my trip WORST mistake ever! I guess the gentleman I dealt with the first time only work weekends, because the one working to 3/24/22 is rude as hell. They put me in a smoking room, I have never in my life smoked. I tried to deal with it but after trying to sleep, unable to breathe I decided to good see if I can change room. Well you would of thought I asked for a kidney. The rep has a bad attitude and is very dismissive. So now Iโ€™m sitting here with the door open trying to air out the room because apparently I cant change room. Well corporate will definitely be hearing from me first thing in the morning. If I can give this place a zero star I would.

I rented a room for my brother one night. When he got there, he was told he needed a card for a deposit or $150 in cash. I called to give them a card over the phone but they would not accept it. I had to call my friend in California to go and take my brother the $150. Up to here all is ok. I understand rules. The problem was that the lobby is closed at night and so my brother had to either wait out in the cold (this was this month in December) or walk down the block to Jack in the Box. My brother had the flu and was super sick and so it made my angry that I picked this place which apparently is not in a good neighborhood (otherwise, why would it be closed?). It just made me unhappy that they would not allow my brother to wait in the lobby and I will not be using this place again.

Room is clean and beds are clean too. Service not that bad. Confusing entrance from the streets due to city under construction pavements. The motel is under construction too. Upon checking in there is unreasonable $200 deposit debit/credit that will be back by 7-10 days, Thatโ€™s almost 2 weeks! Parking is too tight, construction workers partying drinking and smoking in the down hallways. Bad neighborhood. Ghetto place . We booked the 2 beds for $95 included tax (Weekdays) . This is more like $30-$60 value kind of establishment. Go find a real deal hotel. Peace of mind and relaxing . No worries. Here we canโ€™t wait to check out by the next morning. ๐Ÿ˜ฉ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Coacharoach as soon as we walked into our room and were denied a refund. The front desk lady was super unprofessional and was getting super defensive when I mentioned it. Soon after she offered us a different room which had burn marks in the sheets and smelt like weed. Will never stay here or ever recommend it to anyone.

If I could rate -0 I would! Left my personal items at this place in the room we stayed at, and I noticed the very next day so we drove all the way back to retrieve them thinking it would be in the lost and found only to be turned away by the so called manager at the front desk saying they trashed it and the cleaner who cleaned our room was also asked about my brand new vans and she acted like she didnโ€™t understand what I was saying and just shook her head and said โ€œI donโ€™t knowโ€ mind yโ€™all this was around 12pm the very next day. So disappointed at the unprofessionalism and dishonesty of this place. Hopefully no one else would have to go through the same experience like I did.

This place was over priced for it being on a street of lady's of the night. Then the guy at the counter had the nerve to put emphasis on not you can't have any guest?! Wth is that supposed to mean. I was truly offended that he would suggest I would entertain any of that type of stuff. This place is not where you want to sleep for 300$ a night trust me it is far from worth it! I didn't stay there but 8 hours and that was enough for me. Rent a room at your own risk if you plan on staying there...

Clean rooms although with some imperfections (bedspread with cigarette burns and slightly rusty shower), TV with all the main channels working well, very poor breakfast.. Friendly staff.

I arrived at 1:05 pm. The hotel had a lot of rooms. Just few cars on site. They refused to give me a room unless I pay $35 plus taxes or wait until 3pm. My room was ready but they didnt want to give me the keys until 3pm. I wont come back again. Never..

It was pretty good. Clean. Relatively cheap. Nothing I could eat at breakfast, just endless carbs. Coffee was okay.

The location is horrible. We pulled in at a Chevron before heading to our hotel and there were A LOT of hookers walking around. The hotel itself did not have any hookers and the guy that checked us in had security cameras everywhere making sure the place was being watched. We stayed for 1 night but because of the location we will not stay there again. It's super close to the highway though so that's good but also all of the stores around there don't sell beer. It was around 11pm when we got there.

Compared to the hojo in Las Vegas this one was super clean and pleasant. Bathroom was clean too. And there are cleaners every day to change towels and sheets. However outside the hotel there is a strong stench of pee :( so you might not want to walk along the main road.

Not great, but not terrible. Our room had a basic clean, but needed a deep clean. There is no pool like in the pictures. The parking lot smelled like human waste, but luckily didn't penetrate the room. The breakfast was pre-packaged pastries that you would find at a gas station and juice/coffee. And I'm pretty sure our A/C was actually an evaporative cooler because the air in the room felt humid and it never got cold. It was fine for a last-minute stay, but I'll find somewhere different next time.

The rooms look newly renovated hard wood floors modern contemporary look close to freeway the even have fresh fruit and juice for breakfast...pretty nice of them for that ...kinda of pricey but worth it!!

A little further from the legendary gas lamp, however, close enough to Uber there and back all whilst getting a bigger room with more amenities for a lower price (and FREE parking). If you're paying in DTSD, this is the place to stay! BTW their Paul Mitchell shampoo was a nice surprise.

While the rooms were a little outdated it was a perfectly fine hotel and wasn't loud at night air conditioner worked good so did the refrigerator in the room good channels on TV and a perfect place to sleep for a few hours in between our adventures. Would stay again

For the price, the room was good. I didn't like that all rooms are non smoking but still smell like smoke, I'm very sensitive to that smell. I had some issues with the TV but the front desk resolved that quickly. Also didn't notice the outlet I plugged my phone in didn't have electricity. My phone died and I was there conducting business, that was an inconvenience. But overall I'm satisfied.

This is a no frills Howard Johnsons in a not so great part of National City. We checked in around 9pm, went smoothly. Area isn't the best but located near a Jack in the Box and the 5 fwy entrance. Hotel is old but rooms were remodeled fairly clean. Room was clean, some of the clean towels smelled, beds were clean. Mini fridge and microwave were provided. My key card didn't work for the ice machine room. But worked fine for the room. We left early in the morning and saw a couple ladies of the night roaming the street. Not a bad place to stay but definitely not my favorite.

On the surface it looks clean but light switches and hairdryer is dirty. Bed is clean and comfy. Bathroom floors dirty

Iโ€™d give a zero if I could. This is a nasty hotel in a nasty area. We only stayed for. 15 minutes elsewhere. And the management refused to refund any of our three day stay. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!

Very clean, easy to get to freeway and there were a few good places to eat not far. I enjoyed my stay and would stay again.

The room was clean. The bed was awesome and the pillows rocked. Slept great. The staff is amazing and very friendly. I will stay here again when Iโ€™m on the west coast.

It was okay, the rooms were what you expect from a hotel. The bathroom in the room we stayed in had a water leak above the restroom, that made me uneasy, due to it's leaking. Other than that it wasn't bad.

This place is nasty! There were 3 small grasshoppers jumping around out of no where. And in the middle of the night these crazy people weโ€™re banging on my door twice. And lots of noise from the construction and the lady staff is rude. I never felt so disgusted
