    DO NOT RENT A CAR HERE! Horrible service, they will make charges to your card more than a month later after returning the car. I called to see into these charges and no one was capable enough to give me a solution. First, you will find yourself trying to talk to someone real over the phone without an option to talk to someone in the store. Once I got to someone there, they were ā€œunableā€ to see my information, come on, you donā€™t have my name, email, and driver's license but you do have my card information to make charges? They transfer me to ā€œcustomer serviceā€ where I received no help at all, they hung up on me, and now when I try to call it does not go through. Donā€™t even bother asking or waiting for your deposit back, it will never go back to your account. Thanks for nothing.

    Great cars ... Excellent selection for electric cars ... The customer service is great on the inside but they absolutely NEVER EVER EVER answer the phone .... It's either automated or a no-go ! They make you drive to them and that could stress out someone that may have a little question or if the want to extend or something and can't come in at the time ... This may have caused late fees to be applied to someone and could have been avoided if the phone was answered ...

    Horrible experience. Managers deliver empty promises and offer no customer service. Front desk associate told me to call the office on Friday to renew my bumper to bumper insurance. I called on Friday 3x and nobody answered so I assumed it wouldnā€™t be renewed but they ended up charging me 6 extra days and my bank account went overdraft. The assistant manager told me she would help me out and write an email to hertz but she never did what she said she would. 0 stars go to enterprise!

    I Tried To Rent A Minivan From This Horrible Place. I Went On Line Friday Night & Tried To Use Their Website, It Wouldn't Except My Reservation. I Called The Next Morning @ 9am & Tried Calling To Their Office For About An Hour, No One Picked Up! I Than Used The Reservation Assistant And Booked A Van. I Was Than Prompt To Call A 1 800# & Talked To Someone In The Philippines, He Told Me He Couldn't Book The Van. I Called The Office Again To Confirm My Reservation & No One PickedUp. I Finally Got The Same Guy From The Philippines. I Finally Just Drove Over There And The Lady Was No Help At All, Yeah Because They Had No Vans! Oh Yeah She Called Mission Valley To See If They Had Any Van's & They Wouldn't Answer Either! Yeah She Said Just Go Over There. I Said No Thank You & This Is A Terrible Way To Run A Business! I Went To Enterprises Who Saved My Trip To South Carolina. Thank You Enterprise! Yup Definitely Don't Recommend Hertz!

    I prepaid/rented a Tesla to try it for a day. Got there, they didnā€™t have the car because the ā€œperson decided to extend their rentalā€. The solution offered ā€œweā€™re gonna call around and bring a car in and let you know when itā€™s availableā€. Really? What about giving me a heads up an hour before my pick up time so I wouldnā€™t have to work the logistics of taking time off and getting a ride to get thereā€¦? Call to confirm if you decide to rent here. They wonā€™t call you. ************ A week laker, upon my wifeā€™s insistence :), we rented a Model 3 and confirmed its existence by phone (it took several attempts but the clerks were nice and helpful). The car was there and the rental went smooth. The guy at the counter was very patient besides being so busy. It changed my impression of the business. I changed my review after this last positive experience. Would go back there after all.

    I rented a Tesla online to pick up at the National city location. When I got there they said they couldnā€™t give me the car because it was damaged. Their solution was for me to go to another location (la Mesa) and pick up a car from there. Really? They should have called me to let me know it wouldnā€™t be available. They knew the car was damaged and was reserved to pick up at 10am so why not take the time an offer good customer service and call me to let me know. Why?? Now Iā€™m going to be late to my appointment which is 3 hours away. If this location is the only one close to you and you decide to rent from them. Call them to confirm before you drive there to make sure they have the car you reserved ready for pick up. They wonā€™t call you. Short story Had a reservation for 10. Car was not available said i had to go to another location to pick up. They couldnā€™t pull up the reservation because it was another location so had to star a new reservation which ended up costing more. According to them they couldnā€™t match the price. One hour and a half later I finally had a car. If you donā€™t what your plans ruined Call them a couple hours before your pick up time THEY Will NOT CALL YOU.

    you can only use a credit card no debit card and you have to have an ID that matches it. I had to cancel My plans last minute because I wasn't aware of the credit card issue. however the lady refused to cancel My appointment in person, said I had to go online. but when I went online the website was down. I called them several times but no answer. then they charged me for not cancelling my appointment on time šŸ˜’ $56 charge just for trying to rent a car from them. would not recommend this buisness for car rental

    Told me they would pay for a ride to the shop or home, then stuck me with a $50 Uber out of my own pocket, because that was not true. Also impossible to get them on the phone and each rep will tell you something different. Iā€™d rent from a different Hertz location

    Just go somewhere else. I'm saving you the hassle. OH YAH BEWARE OF THE INSURANCE SCAM THEY GOT GOING ON. Was told by an associate the insurance was only $60 dollars extra so I got it! Keep in mind I rented the vehicle for 4 days! BAMMM Next thing you know I was charged $240 extra after returning the car. The associate just so conveniently forgot to mention it was $60 per day. Save your self the time and hassle go to Enterprise...too bad there's no option for 0 stars.

    DO NOT RENT FROM HERE !!! WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS! WAS CHARGED FOR ONLINE RESERVATIONS, THEN AGAIN AFTER I RETURNED THE VEHICLE CHARGED AGAIN PLUS THE INSURANCE FEE. VEHICLE HAD 0% OIL AND VERY DIRTY INSIDE AND OUT. ICOULD NOT GET A HOLD OF ANYONE OVER THE PHONE. I SHOW UP TO DISPUTE THE CHARGES AND 3 ASSOCIATES ARE ARGUING WITH SOMEONE OVER $3. I WAITED OVER AN HR AS WELL AS 4 OTHER PEOPLE. WHEN I FINALLY WAS CALLED UPON THEY TOLD ME THEY CAN NOT DO ANTHING ABOUT MY CHARGES AND CONTINUED TO TALK OVER ME. THEY NEED TO FIRE ALAN ROSIE AND ESPECIALLY NATALIE. CANNOT EXPRESS HOW APPLAUD I AM AT THE LACK OF COMMUNICATION AND UNPROFESSIONALISM IN THIS FACILITY. I GOT A HOLD OF A GENERAL MANAGER MELISSA AND WAS NO HELP WHAT SO EVER. PRICES WERE FINE UNTIL THEY DOUBLE CHARGED ME AND LIED. I HAVE NO PROBLEM PAYING WHAT I OWE AND AGREED TO, BUT WHAT I DO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IS PAYING RIDICULOUS FEES AND DOUBLE THE PRICE AND BEING LIED TO, TO COVER THEIR MISTAKES. WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN OR RECOMMEND TO ANYONE !!!

    In a day and age where customer service is not really at its best I have found that Hertz is simply the best...Dealing with a Geico car claim Rosie who is amazing went out of her way to make sure that I was taken care of even when Geico failed at doing their job with authorizations.. Rosie made sure that with this difficult situation I was kept sane when you find people that care show empathy towards others that is a business that I will support and help...Let's say I made sure that Hertz will get all of our contracting business for the future.. Hertz you better take care of Rosie she is someone that I would hire and take from you all in good fun... Cassandra

    When I arrived, I was upset that they didn't have the car I had rented online. Very uncool. What I can say is that their representatives that morning were outstanding. I was upset and slow that morning, phones were ringing, people coming in, it was a lot. I could feel the stress the reps were feeling. Not to mention that one of the reps was a trainee. What a great day for him! Nery Gonzalez, the rep that morning, along with the trainee, Scotty Young, were extremely patient. My mind was a scramble egg but they both handled my situation calmly and very professional. Nery demonstrated extreme patience with me. Let's just say we were both beginning to have a bad day but thankfully we all flowed and appreciated one another. We need more understanding in the world. Let's support one another. Let's be empathetic and we can all rise. Thank you Nery and Scotty. You are both valued.

    When I had just arrived in the US, I tried to rent a car, and they refused because they needed a plastic card. I had the opportunity to pay cash or mobile, but they do need plastic. Maybe next time they change the policy to accept only checks, huh? So no one who is a nonresident can rent-a-car from them. Also, they charged me $50 from my virtual card and didn't refund it. Strictly recommend keeping out of that service. There are a lot of alternatives in San Diego.

    I usually rent cars from this place when I travel so this week was no exception. I reserved a car and the charge on my credit card showed as enterprise instead of Hertz so I called Hertz and went through some things to change my credit card number while on the phone with Hertz the day before my trip, I Asked to change my return date to the next day at a later time. I went into the Hertz store today to get the car and come to find out nothing was done about the change in my reservation. Nothing was done about the fact that I change the credit card number, so it was a huge mess when I got there. It took almost an hour to get it all straightened out and then for my trouble I was given a free upgrade which I did not request nor did I want. So now Iā€™m driving a vehicle that is getting horrible gas mileage compared to the type of vehicle. I usually rent or drive in my every day life and this trip is costing me more money because the gas is going to be much more expensive. Iā€™m sorry Hertz, but after today you have lost my business. I will never ever rent a car from you ever again.

    Amazing service from the team at Hertz. My partner and I were served by 3 different staff there over the course of 2 days and had pleasant interactions and service with all of them. Thank you for everything and we recommend renting from them!

    I love this HERTZ location. They are always super helpful and friendly. Rosie is the manager and she always makes sure we are taken care of!
