It's a nice place to just walk around and enjoy the ambience. I recommend to rent a bike and ride it along the garden. There are a lot of facilities here. But the weather can be so hot in the afternoon. I think it will be better to visit the garden in the morning.

A refreshing and a must place to visit when in Bogor. You can rent bicycle near the entrance gate 3 for idr 25k per hour for the regular bike. Recommend to rent MTB bike though it costs more expensive than the regular bike. Don’t go in from gate 1 if you want to rent a bike as it’s too far from the rental place. Also recommend to buy the entrance ticket at their online site for idr 25k.

But there are shuttle car that will take you around the spot in one go. The worst feature is the parking lot, very limited and many were forced to get an unofficial parking lot. I think this Garden will be a lot more comfortable for visitora if the parking lot issue is cleared. Also at public holiday there is only one entry gate opened, causing queue.

Our favorite spot was Mexico Garden, a space with huge cactus, agave and succulents. They have aroid section but IT IS POORLY MANAGED, chaotic and sad looking. We had lunch at the Secret Garden restaurant.

You should enter by gate number 3, it's the shortest way to visit orchid garden and utility services such as parking lot, rent bicycle, reserve a bus ticket or rent an electric car to go around. I love the climate here, as long as you enter the garden, the shade of those giant trees offer you a cool temperature and green look. Gate number 1 is friendly to who come on foot and they provide free map when you buy ticket.

My last visit here probably close to two decades ago, and I was very happy to be able to see this historical place and dare I say in a much better condition. So much green that one can see and enjoy and great place to spend time alone or bring your family and enjoy the wide open space and the many exhibition that have been installed here. The place was nice and comfortable. But the place is not as big as expected, it still is big, but i still expect bigger place. The place is full of tree and very shady. I've been there in the rainy day. Bringing rain coat and umbrella with you will be the wises action that you must take if you want to go there because Bogor is usually raining. Lastly, bring your own transportation, or just use public transportation. Online transportation is not a good choice due to the bad traffic dan road repair that makes the price more expensive.

Moreover, i was scolded by a guard who was holding a gun because I turned my back to them when they wanted to check my backpack. So I didnt felt that safe anymore every time I visit the park.
