We were only there 1 night so we didn’t utilize the kitchenette. It was very nice, but we just didn’t use it. Room is updated style. Bathroom shower is nice & floors are nice but could’ve been vacuumed a little better. Breakfast in lobby area was organized & a clean space.

For a hotel that is slightly over one year old, I had higher expectations, especially when it came to the cleanliness of this property. Upon arrival, I found a used toothbrush and a hair brush matted with hair in one of the bathroom vanity drawers. Additionally, hairs were in the shower, which was also stopped up. I had a very early day on my first morning there, and breakfast was late. On the day of checkout, I stopped at the front desk to return my key at 4 AM. I said "good morning" to the desk clerk who just stared at me. He couldn't even say hello? Is that too much to expect? The only bright spot here was Daniel at the front desk. He, at least, had a personality and knew how to engage with customers. Overall, a disappointment.

The hotel seems to be newer. The staff was not able to accommodate adjoining rooms even after a month in advance booking. The staff was helpful on the last day but the afternoon shift needs more improvement on customer service. Our room ac was not cooling off and it was 80° in the corridor hallway. I asked if the hallway temperature could be turned down and the response was "what will that do for your room ? " the temperature eventually cooled off around 11pm. The room was dirty when we arrived. Crumbs on the counter and stove top . Beer bottle left in the trash can. Dirty sheets and the bathroom had a fowl dirty body odor to it. We were at the Waterpark all day so we weren't at the hotel on day two. Day three the pool was good. There was a guest with a dog in the pool and I said I would prefer no dogs in the pool while I was there and they did take it out but the staff doesn't enforce any rules. My other room said they didn't remove the trash from the previous stay and just left it behind their trash can and it smelled. Overall either the hotel staff is short handed or they just don't care to keep up and maintain a new hotel. The breakfast was horrible. Never have I had such overdone eggs. They were gross. I probably won't stay here again but was grateful for the place to stay. Generally I stay down town san Antonio but I tried somewhere new but will probably stay in downtown from now on and just make the drives. I wish I had good reviews for this hotel as it was newer and I am a loyal Marriott customer. However this hotel was a disappointment and hopefully it improves as it has really good potential. Hopefully this review is taken Into consideration and improvements are made.

Be aware, this is a pet friendly hotel with a maximum of two dogs per room and 50 lbs per dog. The last two days of our “vacation” we were awaken at 06:00 by two barking dogs. Lasted 30 - 40 minutes. Last night here, the dogs barked until 1-2am. I won’t be staying at a pet friendly Marriott again. We board our dogs for a reason!!!!! We haven’t done any Airbnb before but maybe it’s time to compare prices and relaxation vs a hotel. The suite with a kitchen is just that, a room with two beds and kitchen. No couch, one chair and a desk. Refrigerator covered light switches and hit the counter top the way it was installed. Looks like and engineering faux pa.

Stayed 2 nights mid-week. Pros-Great location. Front desk personnel friendly & professional. Rooms are spacious & updated. Bath area nice with plenty of room. Kitchenette nice with full size fridge & stove, microwave, cookware, dishes. Lobby & complimentary breakfast area clean & neat. Scenic area at rear wth views of pool & golf course. Cons- Whoever is doing housekeeping of rooms needs improvement. We found pills on floor, crumbs on floor in kitchen. It is obvious the floor had not been vacuumed. Silverware holder was dirty in drawer. Sheets were very wrinkled, though clean. A/C was an issue. Apparently, the system has a mind of its own. If you turn off, it continues to run. At night, the temperature changes to warmer automatically. Temperture fluctuates constantly. Notified front desk, but the problem is inherent in the system they have in place so could not properly control.

AVOID this Towneplace Suites. While it is new with large rooms, I travel extensively and will not go back to this location. First, it is near to impossible to get to on and off the interstate. When we first came in, we came off the loop and had to go around the large intersection of I35 and the loop multiple times to get to it. I thought it would be easier when we came back from the Riverwalk - - no, same issue. The hotel needs to alert guests to this issue and give instructions. If my college daughter had not been with me, I wouldn't have been able to navigate it, and I travel a lot. Second, we came to San Antonio for the Riverwalk and chose to stay north of town to avoid rush hour the next morning. However, the front desk couldn't tell us where to park for the Riverwalk, offer us a map to get to it and park, or anything when we asked. Since that is one of the biggest attractions in San Antonio, I was shocked at how they blew off my question. Finally, this is a huge room with barely any light and no place for your luggage. In an effort to be minimalist, they took away a dresser to put luggage on and instead placed a tiny bookshelf that was maybe 10" off the wall (not big enough for luggage) and 14" wide - it served no purpose. Travelers need drawers and surfaces to place luggage. But most of all travelers in a room that sleeps 4 people need a mirror in the room to put on makeup and do hair if someone else is in the bathroom. The extra mirror in this room is in the CLOSET!!! So, I had to use that mirror to do my hair and makeup (with again poor lighting). This whole hotel was just not thought out well - - from location to furnishings. Stay elsewhere and avoid the hassle.

We spent one night at thus hotel. The room was modern and spacious. The bathroom and shower were very nice and modern. The breakfast was just right. Amenities were really nice and much more than I expected. The management takes pride in keeping a clean hotel and listening to their employees. We witness a meeting in which the employees provided input about hotel operations. The service was great across the board in both service and cleanliness.

The staff is kind and professional. Very beautiful modern rooms although they could use a bit more detailing toward the cleaning. The window sill was dirty and so was the glass window of the shower. Looks like it could have been wiped with a wet toilet rag. But otherwise, the rooms are spacious with full kitchenette. Bright and nicely decorated. Although it's a no smoking building, it smelled like smoke upon opening the door. Just a whiff. It's not overwhelming or lingering. The elevator is spacious but not the smoothest ride. The pool area, lobby and dining area are all clean and modern. Breakfast was decent. I didn't not check out the gym or another other extra facilities. The hotel is right along the highway where there is a lot of construction going on. But the building sits far back so it's quiet and you're not disturbed by traffic or road work. Behind the building is a golf course. Nice to watch golfers and the many deer in the area. Just a note... it's the first hotel where I didn't see any available coffee. Weird. Parking was easy and plentiful. Felt safe enough. I'd stay here again once the construction is complete and at a discounted rate. I feel they are overpriced.

My family stayed seven nights and couldn't be more happier with our stay her. Our boys enjoyed the heated pool outside facing a beautiful golf course. The breakfast was always full of food with a variety of items to choose from. Everyone working there was super friendly. We will definitely be back to stay. Thank you for making our Christmas stay relaxing. The Aguilars

I have stayed at many Marriott over the last 24 months. This is a new location, quiet and safe. Customer service is not bad but can always improve. Front desk overnight staff did not know where to get coffee for the guest rooms. They told me they must be out. The next morning the front desk person told me they had coffee. Breakfast was not good. Eggs were cold, had to ask for warm eggs, sausage was also out. Had to ask to have coffee refilled in the common area. Labels were not accurate for food. HDMI for in room TV did not work. I was also unable yo upgrade to high speed internet. Hopefully this will help them improve. I would stay here again and hopefully they improve. If so, I will update this review.

Very modern and clean hotel. Great location and amenities. However during my short stay, the local fire department was called. The general manager on duty, Sandra lacked professionalism, empathy, and compassion towards my emergency situation. My recommendation is only stay at this hotel on Sandra’s days off.

I should've taken more pictures, but I really liked this place and would stay again. Friendly service, clean, modern and the breakfast was really good! I didn't get to try the pool because it was cold.

My family had the pleasure of staying here for 9 days during some construction at our home. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff is very helpful and nice, and the free breakfast never disappointed. There is also a small bar downstairs if you need a break.

Great location, friendly staff! Easy on and off the highway, just know there is a lot of construction on the highway. Hotel backs up a golf course you can see a lot of deer and golfers.

Me and my husband stayed the night Feb 22nd at this hotel and let me tell you it was so nice. The young lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful. She provided great customer service(although her name I can't remember). The elevators smelled amazing! And the room was extremely pleasant. It was clean and fully stocked. Upon checking out Brendyn provided great customer service as well, printed out my receipt and explained all my charges. Love, love, love this place! Would recommend to anyone.

My father in law stayed 7 days there awhile back and he’s a hard person to satisfy but he totally loved his stay there. I had gone to visit him and I was blown away of how modern the room was. I heard the breakfast was great and I saw how helpful the staff was. If ever I need to stay for long period of time I’m definitely going there to stay.

I was a long term customer. I was there for month and a half. I have three dogs and was told right after I checked in that I would be charged $150 to have the carpets shampooed because of the dogs. I had pee pads down everywhere in case of accidents. When I checked out today I was charged $150.:Fine. But I checked my bank account today and they charged me another $250 supposedly for carpet shampooing. That totals $400 for carpets. They also have another $120 which they say are incidentals ( I never used their incidentals). I'm told that should drop off in 3-5 business days. What do I do now that the hotel he as $370 tied up? I was in the hotel because of a water leak in my house. The hotel is just about to overdraw me. Another issue is the cleaning if the room. I had the do not disturb sign up when I was not in the room so they wouldn't let the dogs out. When I was in the room I waited for the maids to come in. it seems like I was on a schedule and I was not once told what that schedule was. When I would call down to say I needed towels or toilet paper or garbage pickup, they would come and give me what I requested. They vacuumed the room once in 6 weeks, I had to request the kitchen be swept and the shower and toilet were never cleaned the whole time I was there. Third item, breakfast. When I would go down for breakfast there wasn't any. The oatmeal was empty, no sausage, hard cold eggs, usually the bagels were gone and half the time the orange juice was empty. For a Marriott this place is very poorly run. I will never stay there again. Lesser hotels at least give you better service and usually better breakfast .
