Very cool and interesting general store full of everything you want but do not need... or wait... maybe it's full of everything you want and need but don't have anywhere to put. Or wait... I think it's actually full of everything you wish you had. Stores like this bring me back to my childhood and I love them. I would play in here all day if I could!

What is a trip to New Braunfels, if you don't stop at the Gruene General store? I absolutely love this place, the atmosphere is so nostalgic and fun! This time I grabbed a Gruene General store hat, to remember this amazing place. I wear it with pride, just about everyday.

The store is always delightful but it gets even a bit more magical at Christmas. This is a genuine Texas-style general store that will take you all the way back if you were born before 1970. They support Texas businesses and you will never walk out of here empty handed. This is my stop when I want to pick up mayhaw jelly and a few other hard-to-find treats.

I could've spent an hour in this store just looking at all the cool things, but it was a nice cool day out so I left after a short while. I loved this place. There is no way you can vista Gruene without stepping inside here.

Really cute general store! Ice cream is blue bell and we tried their dill pickles. They are really good! They also have fudge and lots of cute gifts.

We stopped in to buy ice cream and it was full of ice chips like it was old. The vanilla and the rocky road both. The strength test machine was fun but their sign taped to to it covered some of the labels.

Wow - this place has it all and more. Lots of great homemade products, unique products and souvenirs. Worth the stop in if you are in the area! Very friendly staff
