Great people, great instructors, NO JUDGEMENT!! It's nice to finally have a place where people are courteous and let you take the time you need to get your workout in. Instructors push you to do your best and don't judge you when your best isn't as good as others. I'm actually comfortable to workout there.

Nice facilities and awesome classes, if you're able to make use of them. You have to sign up 72 hours ahead of time for classes, which often feel like I'm checking in for a Southwest Airlines flight. If you don't sign up within 72 hours exactly, you often won't get in, if that. Also, specifically with Schertz, after 4 PM it is overrun with highschoolers that goof off and cause disruptions in the gym. Feels like the Y is being taken advantage of for free childcare for teens, so I'd recommend avoiding 3:30-5:30 unless you're taking a class. Finally, the water in the women's locker room needs to be warmer. It is luke warm compared to the Cibolo and NB YMCA. Otherwise, the staff has been really friendly and the facilities are always clean, just packed most of the day and you have to wait on equipment....

I enjoyed the water aerobics classes. The family pool is great for swim walking and making new friends.

Good location. A little busy in the summer but to be expected because kids are out of school . I wish there were more ab machines (only one that I know of). Overall very updated, modern equipment and classes that fit diverse interests (cycling, yoga, body pump). I don’t think you’ll ever get bored of your workouts as there are plenty of exercise options here. The amount of treadmills/ellipticals/bikes is on the smaller side but they are really nice machines if you can get one. 12-4pm is best time to go to miss crowds. Overall pretty happy here- just be smart when you go to miss crowds.

The child care is amazing. I was worried our triplet boys would be too much, but they are wonderful with them. I am able to workout without having to worry about the boys.

Honestly the YMCA in Schertz is amazing. Staff is always cheerful and welcoming. Becoming a member was easy and they were able to get me a great deal using available discounts. I enrolled my son in day camps and swim lessons. They explained everything thoroughly and made enrollment a cinch. I love being a member and recommend everyone with kids look at all the great programs. Thanks to the team there for being so helpful and happy!!!

We have just recently joined, but we already love this facility. All of the people there are very friendly and helpful. The Child Care is wonderful for our little dude and we are so excite to be able to be apart of the Y.

Good place to workout and good equipment. My only complaint is how busy it can get. A lot of people park themselves on a mchaine for much longer than necessary just staring at their phones. Besides that, I like the price and the machines.

The gym needs to be cleaner! The spin room bikes and mats and all the weights in the entire gym should be sanitized when the facility closes at the end of each day. The staff is great!

Love this YMCA! Very clean and everyone mind’s their own business. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Alicia is my favorite though, because she goes above and beyond with her customer service and just has great energy. Thank you and I will be returning:)

This is my first Y experience and have been going for a couple of weeks. Awesome facility woth everything I could ever need. Staff is great and love that there is childcare!

Good facility, clean, friendly staff and everything. The only issue is it’s really small and the weights get filled up quickly. You have to be strategic to try to get in while the machines or weights you want aren’t completely full. I’d like to see some more machines or weight space/benches in the future.

I love the YMCA! This location has great group exercise instructors, basketball courts, pool and splash pad. The staff is friendly. I wish it still provided mats but those were taken away due to COVID but other YMCA locations and gyms have brought those back. I use the USAA Active & Fit membership program.

A truly superb facility. The staff is knowledgeable and ridiculously nice. The machines are spotless. There is a wide selection of classes for adults and kids. Definitely top-notch and a cut above the rest.

They Recently updated everything. It’s clean and has a great environment. I especially love the kids watch. They do a great job with my little ones.

I joined last year..i am a senior with knee problem ..i joined to use the smaller pool only..but they don't have set hours at the time i didn't know this..so i went for first time then could not use pool because it was close till 3pm..i so they wouldn't let me use pool because they didn't have life guard i was only going to exercise,since then haven't gone back.. so not sure what to do ..ionly reason i joined...

Customer service is good the and place is good. But their hours are absolutely horrible extremely inconsistent. They give me a head ache every time, just because of this it’s knocked down the rating 3 stars. “ consistency is key. “

The problem with this gym is that it is small and super crowded. Only one of each weight machine so you have to stand there and wait until the person who is sitting there chatting with the person next to them gets up. No way to create a circuit and no way to know if you will be able to work the muscle group you came in to work due to lack of availability. Looking for a different gym now that perhaps is not as saturated with high schoolers. (There is a high school directly across the street. 🙄) Oh and... In order to access the pool, you have to go outside. No direct access from the locker rooms. The pool area smells so strong of chemicals that your eyes literally burn walking in. They need a better ventilation system. The pool areas that are available to swim in are very small. Overall, I would not recommend this place to anyone. Though I have to say all the staff at the front desk has been super pleasant in this location! Hence the 3 stars. 😊

I like how the instructors worked with each student at their level. My son had been in the water from a young age but we never got around to actual swim lessons. He learned a lot and gained confidence in the water.

Great swimming pool and very professional and hospitable. They will let you go for a week with a guest pass to try it out!

Their childcare is a mess. You can tell that the staff members are completely overwhelmed with the amount of kids they have. The Thousand Oaks location is much better.
