I enjoyed my stay at Old Weir Lodge. To start, it had plenty of car parking for the guests, the elevator to bring luggage to the upper floors, and the room was quite large with all the necessary amenities. Breakfast is made to order and also there is a buffet. The location is ideal as it is just a short walk to the city center. The staff that I interacted with was very friendly. This is the hotel that I can definitely recommend.

We stayed at Weir lodge over Halloween weekend. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. The rooms and the lodge in general were very clean. Breakfast was lovely, the waffles were fluffy, homemade and delicious. I would definitely recommend Weir lodge to friends and family and we will hopefully stay here again sometime.

We stayed at the Old Weir Lodge twice now and we continue to be impressed. The rooms are spacious, quiet and comfortable. The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. Breakfast is served in a charming space and there is a lot of variety, from fresh fruit to a full Breakfast cooked to order. Walking distance from town. We would love to stay here again.

This is one of nicest bed and breakfast/lodges I've ever stayed in. I'm in hotels for about 1/2 of every year for my work so it takes quite a bit to impress me with hotel decor. Everything here is very tastefully done and fits the overall theme of the lodge. The hostess was very friendly and immediately wanted to show us recommendations of where to visit. The rooms themselves are quite nice, with more charm and practicality than any hotel I've stayed at at a similar price point. Overall a very nice place that I will look forward to visiting again.

This is my favourite place to stay in Killarney! The location is perfect, just a 5 minute walk from the center of Killarney with pubs and restaurants in easy distance as well. It is family owned/operated and the entire staff is beyond helpful. There is a lift, which is nice. The breakfast room is bright and cheerful with lots of choices. I stay here whenever I am in Killarney!

Spent a week in Ireland and this was the best place we stayed. Family owned and operated. The breakfast was very good and well worth staying for. Slow down and enjoy the staff the stories and the food.

Fabulous friendly guest house in a wonderful location central to all one’s sight seeing requirements. Helpful friendly staff in all areas. Breakfast amazing. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Killarney!

We love the Old Weir Lodge! This Inn exceeded our expectations. Great breakfast! Everyone was so friendly, and the service was excellent. Our room was clean. Everything worked as it should. Great location. Close to the National Park, shopping and Killarney attractions, such as Ross Castle, Innisfallen Island, and Muckross House. They have a computer for guest use and a bar where you can purchase drinks in the evening. The Old Weir Lodge stay there.

An exquisite little hotel. The rooms were very large, clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were the best I've had, absolutely delicious and the staff, both in the dining room and at reception, were always so nice and helpful. The location couldn't be better.

The ABSOLUTE BEST!!! I cannot say enough good things about this beautiful B&B. The room was immaculate and the breakfast was fresh and delicious. The breakfast was served by the most amazing women who made us feel incredibly welcome and well taken care of. The front desk gave us the best local insight and reservations. This family owned B&B truly thought of everything to make our stay feel like home. It was in a perfect location and while I am in love with Killarney now and can’t wait to return, I’m even more excited to return to The Old Weir Lodge again. As a mom, I take care of everything all the time so I was extra grateful to stay here where I could actually feel like everything was taken care of for us and I could truly relax. When we were leaving, my daughter accidentally forgot her beloved sheep. They shipped it back for us and even included an extra Irish treat. Truly spoiled staying here and will never forget this amazing B&B!

Our first destination on our trip to Ireland. The size of the rooms is excellent, as is the equipment. Despite the location on the main street, the rooms are quiet, even with the window open. Very good service, very friendly staff. Rich breakfast in Irish and continental style. You feel like you're in another century. You can tell the owners have put a lot of heart into this

A brisk/quick 10 min walk to town w/ all the shops and restaurants you could want. The room was absolutely fine. Nothing special but comfortable for our family of 4 (3 beds!). Shower worked well, nice bathroom, really no complaints. Breakfast at the hotel was great. Staff was so nice. Hot food off the menu but they're very generous with whatever you need (we ordered omeletes and the kids got hot chocolate). The cold food is buffet style and a nice selection. Evenings had drinks available (we had tea) which was a nice touch. A very nice stay and would recommend.

A lovely moderate sized hotel. The rooms were lovely, the breakfast great, the staff fantastic and helpful. Highly recommend.

Very nice hotel, good location close to main street. Well maintained and the staff was very friendly. The only disadvantage for us was breakfast starting too late ( 8 am) 7 am would be much better.

Not our first visit and certainly won't be our last! We always leave feeling we have just spent time with family and friends, what a relaxing experience. Top class service throughout! Well done Niall and staff. Hope to see you again later in the year.

So close to the downtown. I was traveling alone so I felt super safe in town. Rented a bike near by took It throughout the town. Rooms were big, cozy and warm. Breakfast was amazing. Many options from “mini” Irish breakfast to a full Irish breakfast. Loved the stay.

I didn't stay here but my parents were booked into hotel for one night and had to cancel last minute due to a family illness and they had cancelled it for them free of charge. Thought it was excellent customer service when a genuine reason for cancelling and will definitely use hotel when next staying in Killarney.

Travel October 2022-I booked this lodge because of my husband’s name. Check in was easy, and the hotel called me beforehand to confirm our reservation and any special needs. Breakfast being included was greatly appreciated, as well as a parking spot (which was important given the very busy roadway just outside). The customer base seems to skew a bit older (50+) but we didn’t mind. I wasn’t sure as well, but I believe they upgraded us to a larger room for our wedding anniversary. The front desk staff were friendly and knowledge, and made several suggestions for us to see that was off the typical tourist track.

The old weir lodge was a fantastic place to stay with very large rooms that were clean, comfortable and quiet and well maintained. The breakfast was second to none and the service was great. Parking was easy and adequate in the front and rear and the location was only a brisk 10min walk to most restaurants and the beautiful town.

This warm and welcoming B&B is ideally situated just a few blocks from downtown Killarney and boasts a truly epic breakfast menu, comfortably sized rooms, and a historic, nearly Victorian vibe that ties it all neatly together. The staff genuinely enjoy people and will certainly make you feel at home. Many thanks to Maura and her team for feeding this brood and getting us out the door to enjoy the many beautiful sights of Western Ireland!

If you are 55 and over go for it. If you are less inclined to drink tea and talk about the good old days this may not be the option for you. Breakfast was poor quality, for example pre-cooked eggs were almost inedible. Overall it was ok but if you have other options go for that.

Very kind staff with helpful recommendations to make the most of your time in Killarney. Rooms were tidy and we appreciated the daily housekeeping service. Options for hot breakfast and al a carte were average, not bad though. Servers were wonderfully kind! Personally found the bed and pillows to be a bit stiff, but this is very individual. We also appreciated that it was a quick walk to town, but away from the busy traffic.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Old Weir Lodge. Shannan on the front desk was lovely and gave us excellent recommendations for dinner. This was one of our favourite stays in Ireland and we would highly recommend it to anyone.

The only place I'll ever stay in Killarney. I've stayed here three times and the owners treat everyone like family. (The good kind, not the weird uncle you don't talk about). Great breakfast, comfortable room, and right on the Ring of Kerry. If you can, take the Gap of Dunloe tour. It leaves from the hotel. Easy walking distance from Killarney Brewing (also highly recommended) and Killarney city center.

Our stay here was good but it could be better. The shower is great and the beds are comfortable but the breakfast was a let down. The eggs were over cooked each time we ordered them and the waffles were doughy. There wasn't enough fruit on offer only pineapple and melon. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the location is great! I feel that some of the reviews on here have hyped up the breakfast and it's nothing special.

Utterly charming from start to finish. I was in town for the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle recently, and I chose the Old Weir Lodge because of the proximity to town, price, and quality. I loved this hotel! The staff are so incredibly courteous and welcoming, they had an entire plan in place to support the cyclists for the weekend, including bike storage options, early breakfast on race day, and great support when I returned from the ride in the afternoon. Super competitive price for a MASSIVE room with a lovely view of the mountains. This is my new favourite Killarney hotel spot! THANK YOU!

The customer service is top notch and the proprietors are the most welcoming and will go above and boyond to meet any request. Niall gave us very thorough and good advice for sightseeing with maps and marked suggestions for points of interest and recommendations for great restaurants to visit downtown. The rooms were clean and comfortable and they offer a nice spread of locally sourced breakfast options. While the lodge itself does not have laundry, we utilized their outsourced laundry service. We dropped off our dirty laundry at the front desk in the morning and they promptly notified us when it was returned in the evening to pick up at the front desk. I 100% would stay here again!
