Beautiful hotel...the room was spacious, neat and clean. They even provided us with a baby cot for my 2yr old. The staff was very warm and friendly. There is a nice swimming pool and spa as well .the hotel is situated at a location that's close to the Killarney national park and also the city centre. The morning breakfast was delicious....it had cold continental and hot one from their menu. The service was very quick. We had a nice time at the hotel...

Muckross is a very nice hotel and spa. The spa is clean and pretty and available to all guests. The rooms are large and pleasant. The service is outstanding with kind and careful staff. The facility is a bit dated and needs to be modernized. The Yew Tree needs to step up to freshly cooked food - and needs to invest seriously in ambiance upgrade. Food is good but not great. Ambiance is boring.

Wow, hospitality experts! Every request was handled with pleasure. Every member of the hotel was consistently professional and warm. The place is lovely, amazing features and location, but more than anything it’s just how they make you feel at home. I even got high tea done all vegan, and they absolutely smashed it! May even have it again it was so good!

We had our wedding here recently, and 5 stars is not enough. The hotel staff are such an asset, they all couldn’t do enough. The food at the reception was excellent and the facilities were top class. Our only fault is the time went too quick. It wouldn’t be fair to name a particular member of staff as everyone of them were extremely friendly. Thanks. Laura and Eoin

Outstanding hotel. Has everything you need on site. We enjoyed the hotel so much that we held our wedding there. The location is great, the hotel offers a great spa onsite. All the tourist attractions around Killarney are also very close by. Highly recommend.

Nice spot with lovely staff but I wouldn’t class it as a 5 star. The room was roasting (a common trait for Irish hotels) and the breakfast wasn’t fresh. Instead of providing a buffet your order is taken but there’s no way the food is cooked to serve. The monks bar was comfortable but the other one was closed (a taxi driver mentioned it only opens weekends for the winter). My wife said the massage she got was the best she’s ever had and the thermal suites were top notch. ***** [Editing the review to reply to Chris (this is the only way you can reply in Google Reviews apparently :/] Thanks for the reply Chris, it's great to see attention put on customer feedback. You have a great hotel with even greater potential but I have to state, that breakfast was absolutely not cooked fresh. The eggs might have been as we were asked what type we wanted, but it came out way too fast, the food was just 'warm' and not hot (aka it's impossible it could have cooked and cooled down to that temperature by the time it got to us). It was the same speed for the couple next to us too!

Not what I expected from a 5 star establishment. Attending a wedding, on entrance the was insufficient seating and a cold area to wait in on a freezing day. At the bar is was poorly stocked and the list of non available was too long to write. The meal which I assume was 5 star price was not up to standard. The first course was warm instead of hot. But the bar in the function area was stocked and well staffed.

Just had an amazing stay. Its the perfect place to escape and switch off. We booked a Junior Suite and it was a spectacular room spotlessly clean and spacious. Every staff member we met were friendly and couldn't do enough for you. We both booked into the spa and got back massages and they were absolutely amazing, the facilities in the spa are excellent we spent the afternoon there. We had dinner in Monks Lounge and the food and wine was so good. We found the hotel is held to an incredibly high standard and is also great value for money, we are already planning our return we can't wait to come back.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights after our wedding as a mini honeymoon to just have time together before going back to real life. From the second we arrived we were treated like royalty!! Everyone congratulated us and made us feel special. Every single staff member went above and beyond for us. The afternoon tea, spa treatments and dinner were exemplary. The breakfast in bed was fantastic. The massage was the best we had ever experienced. I honestly cannot say enough great things. We felt so welcomed and it really made the entire week even more amazing which I didn’t think possible. Everything was catered for and we had the best time of our lives. If we can swing it financially we would go back every year for our anniversary and just relive every great moment we had!

Everyone in the team at Muckross have gone over and above to make our stay memorable. The staff are kind, helpful and welcoming. I went there on a girls weekend away for afternoon tea, diner and the spa which is amazing. Lisa had everything arranged prior to our arrival, we gave her an idea of what we wanted to do and she did the magic. Our room was stunning with outdoor balcony, the food was gorgeous, the spa was amazing and so relaxing. The staff and their friendliness made our stay special and we will be back. Thank you to everyone at Muckross, From the bottle of our hearts, Christine

We had a wonderful stay at the Muckross Park Hotel. The service is exceptional, the best we have experienced; such warm, helpful and attentive staff- nothing was too much! A special thank you to Saasil on the front desk who made us feel so welcome. Dinner in the Yew Restaurant was delicious (especially the blueberry soufflé) as was breakfast each morning. The spa was a real treat- a calming oasis. We would highly recommend!

I would offer five stars for everything at this hotel. But what stands out the most is the warm, but professional, attitude of every single staff member. It is truly a 5 star service. It is perfectly located in a quiet area not far from the city, but also within walkable distance to some fantastic views. The lounge area is also a great place to spend your evening, especially if you enjoy cocktails. The value for money is fantastic as well, as the room we booked included a truly 5 star breakfast experience, spa access and bicycles rental service.

What a lovely stay we had. We stayed at the end of a 2 week trip to Scotland and Ireland. Killarney itself was charming. Muckross was the star. We loved its proximity to the park which in it of itself is stunning. The Abbey is a 5 minute walk. The service was exemplary and the grounds were beautiful. We enjoyed the pub restaurant. We loved our room and enjoyed hanging out in the spa (I just wish the hot tubs were a wee bit hotter).

Excellent hotel, the spa was outstanding and very relaxing, my wife and I enjoyed both the sauna and the heated benches. The only negative about the place is that we informed them we were on honeymoon and (other than acknowledging that at the desk) did nothing for it which was a small let down. Otherwise great experience.

Pleasant hotel and our stay was enjoyable. Staff were exceptionally professional and friendly and really made our stay at the hotel a positive experience. The rooms were absolutely spotless. Food was good but was expecting better from such a highly rated hotel. There was an issue with our booking on the hotel's side which management did little to resolve and we were quite disappointed by this lack of courtesy. Regardless, this didn't impact our stay in Killarney too much.

Muckross Park Hotel & Spa is a luxurious hotel in an idyllic location. Located just within Killarney National Park, it can be hard to imagine that Muckross is just minutes away from a major tourism city given the sense of peace you get while you are there. My wife, mother-in-law, and I stayed in 2 Junior Suites for 3 nights in July 2023. When arriving at Muckross, you are greeted warmly as you step into a place of old-style luxury. Every member of the staff we encountered was quick to greet us kindly and offer any help they could. The check-in process was smooth and our rooms were ready shortly after arriving. The suites were huge with large balconies where you could enjoy a morning tea/coffee while enjoying the sounds of the national park. The bathrooms were also large with a nice walk-in shower and separate tub. We had massages scheduled for the day of our arrival so we went to the spa which was only a short way from the rooms. Again, the staff greeted us warmly and checked us in quickly. The facilities were nice with multiple hot tubs and a large pool to relax in. I’ve had a few massages and can say that this was one of my top two massages of all time. It was relaxing with great pressure throughout; not focusing on any one area for too long. The included breakfast is served in the Yew Tree restaurant and features a buffet of fruits, pastries, and cereals. When you first sit down, you can order tea/coffee and your main breakfast dish. The food is made quickly and is fresh. This breakfast makes for a great start to your busy day of sightseeing. Overall, if you want a sense of luxury and to be treated like the most important person in the world, treat yourself at Muckross Park Hotel & Spa. You won’t be disappointed and you’ll leave dreaming about when you’ll be able to come back, just like we did!

We had a private family event recently at the Muckross Park Hotel recently and they went above and beyond with their service. We ate in the Monks lounge, the food was lovely and every staff member was friendly and very attentive and offered table service for drinks. The junior suite was beautiful and had everything you could possibly need for your stay in it. We really enjoyed our stay there and will definitely be returning.

I would really love to give more than 5 stars. We were truly overwhelmed by this enchanted oasis in the middle of a national park. Excellent service, cozy spa and a stunningly delicious breakfast. Definitely worth to spend some time to relax and to use it as a starting point for excursions.

Our family of four had a wonderful stay in one of the self-catering apartments. The property is just lovely and serene. Dinner at the pub was excellent. The apartment was quiet, spacious and very comfortable.

We spent there 3 nights. The hotel is well located, rooms are clean and nice, hotel team is very helpful. Breakfast was included in our stay and it was prepared at the very high standard with a good choice of food. We also enjoyed the spa area during our stay ;)

We got married at Muckross Park Hotel & Spa in May 2023. Firstly no one can deny that this hotel is absolutely stunning! Then to top it the service is superb. They made planning a wedding from Canada seamless and they go the extra mile to make sure the day is perfect for the couple both in the lead up to, and on the actual day. The food was also delicious. They are well known for hosting great weddings (based on those who have attended several there) and I experienced it first hand. Thanks for making our special day perfect!

The Staff made it excellent. Elaine greeted us with the most amazing welcome. Paul brought out bags to the room and was on hand for everything we needed. Tapas in the Monks with cocktails from Dean and Heidi looking after us. Spa treatment with Phillipa and Magda. Breakfast was outstanding beautiful scones made by Eric and the absolutely incredible Bernadette, these are the people that make you want to come back to hotels. Even though Muckross itself is beautiful, the staff make it welcoming to all. Can't wait to celebrate again there ❤️

Lovely hotel with an amazing spa. The Reserve apartments are spacious and well-equipped - perfect for a family. Note- there is no lift to get to the upper floors of the apartment so keep this in mind when you get your room assignments. Also, the spa closes at 7:30 sharp so go early to avoid disappointment.

Stayed here recently for a friend's wedding in one of their 2 bed apartments. They were fabulous, just perfect for what we needed for 2 couples. Lots of space and very well equipped ☺️ Check in, out and all interactions with staff was lovely throughout. Overall a lovely place to stay.

Just back from a weekend in Muckross Park Hotel. We had an issue with the shower in our room after arriving and Sean the duty manager and his team resolved the situation without hesitation. An absolute credit to the hotel and an example to the rest of the industry of why great people make a great hotel. Breakfast was delicious, bar food also great and the spa was fantastic. Already looking forward to returning! Thanks again.

Nice country style hotel in a lovely location. Staff are very friendly and helpful, the hotel is clean and comfortable. The food is good, but a very limited dinner menu. The wine is overpriced with an average bottle of red costing €45 being the cheapest price on the menu. The bed rooms were good, but a bit cold. The bathroom in a delux bedroom has the shower in the bath which would be difficult for older people to use and the shower screen is too small to prevent water getting on the bathroom floor. The pool while nice is very small.

Amazing hotel, but the staff really makes the experience. Every single member of staff we encountered went out of their way to make our stay memorable. We had a little gender reveal at dinner, and the restaurant staff made sure this was an unforgettable experience for my partner and I. Great spa facilities too, as well as free rental bikes to explore the surroundings.

The hotel was so welcoming, clean and efficient. We’ve never stayed somewhere where the staff was so personable and helpful, they seemed like they actually liked what they were doing. The spa was unforgettable, the room was spacious and had everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed the food at Colgate and Yew Tree as well. Definitely an experience more than just a hotel, we hope to come back one day.
