Visited while I was staying in Killarney in May! I did the two hour trail ride and loved it! Very beautiful scenery with patient instructors for all skill levels. Riding boots and hat provided. Mumba was my horse and she was a sweet girl! I would definitely recommend the trail ride as the Killarney National Park is beautiful, and the instructors take your picture at the end in front of the scenery. Thanks for the great ride out!

Nice stables, lovely horses and amazing guides. They ask a few simple questions to pair you with the right horse and head off to a beautiful tour through the trails of the national forest. One of the guides (her name started with a C I'm sure) was friendly and engaging through the entire 2 hour ride. She was knowledgeable of the the terrain and landmarks with a little history thrown in. I whole heartedly recommend going here to all levels of riding ability.

Honestly one of my favourite activities to do in Killarney! πŸ™Œ Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the national park and their horses 🐎 They cater for all levels of experience, which was great for me as I had never rode a horse before ✨ As you can tell from the photos, the day was gorgeous which made the tour even better 🌞 Must go riding horses again soon and see my boy Adam 🐴

As an experienced rider, I always find it important that when riding outside of my barn that I am given the chance to not just walk at the pace of a tourist. This place afforded me and my partner the opportunity to ride with an experienced guide at an experienced level. The three hours we spent were absolutely fantastic and we wish we had more time. Our tour guide was knowledgeable about the park and wildlife giving us great bits of info along the way. The horses we had (James and Peter) were absolute gentlemen and were great for our level of experience. If you are not an experienced rider I still recommend this organization because they cater to all levels of experience. Lastly, the staff is amazing when it comes to customer service; from communication beforehand to the day of activities. I most certainly will come back on my next trip and ride with these folks.

There are no words to describe how amazing this trip was. I took a solo trip from the USA for the 5 day ride and it was the best thing I’ve ever done! (If you are like me and on the fence about doing it…just go for it!). I had never really heard about riding holidays before and signed up on whim after getting a random ad on social media for a totally different holiday, then researching a few others and deciding this one sounded the most fun! It was also my first trip to Ireland or abroad in general. I have a horse that I multiple times per week at home but the 4-6 hours per day in the saddle for this ride was not something I do regularly. However, I didn’t find it too challenging at all (though I would recommend being moderately physically fit). Donie and his crew do an excellent job taking care of all of the horses and maintaining a beautiful facility in tip-top shape. All of the horses are impeccably cared for and are safe and sound on the trails, but they were still kind enough to assign my their very best horse, Cracker. I loved all the towns along the way (most especially the coastal views from my hotel in Waterville) and the people I met out and about were the most friendly and amazing bunch! Our guides, Joanna and Alison, were just absolutely perfect and so welcoming and knowledgeable. I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with both of them and learning all about the farm’s horses, and all the Irish flora and fauna and even the mystical Fairyland! I’ve been home for about 2 months now and still think about this trip every single day. I am hoping to make it a somewhat regular tradition. Meanwhile, the staff has assured me that Cracker will get plenty of love until I’m able to return again. Hope to be back in 2023!

Make sure you do this if you're even thinking of it. We were a group of two absolute beginners and a novice and Alison and Emma and Victoria in the office looked after us so well. Alison spoke to us to see how we were feeling about it (nervous) and matched the horses to us. We had a beautiful ride out in the National Park with stunning views of the Reeks and lakes. Alison also told us all about the park, answered all our questions about the horses and area. The best way to spend an hour. Not to be missed.

An absolute must when in Killarney. Highly recommend this place, the horses are adorable & you can tell they are well looked after. The route was stunningly beautiful and our horse Diane & Adam made the trek. Will most definitely be back again.

I grew up doing hunter/jumpers in the US and always wanted to ride in Ireland. The views were absolutely breathtaking. We had 5 people in our 3 hour ride and 3 guides to make sure everyone was safe and comfortable. They were very mindful of everyone's different levels of experience. I was advanced and my boyfriend had never ridden before. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to explore the area.

It was a great experience for me and my friends from Germany. All four of us had a lot of fun! The ladies provided us with riding helmets & riding boots and matched us up with a horse, based on our riding experience. They were incredibly nice as they explained the basics to us, answering any questions we had. After they double checked the gear, we left the barn and rode through the National Park. The Park was beautiful and we all felt completely comfortable and safe in our saddles. The two ladies were really attentive, keeping an eye on everyone, making sure we and the horses were safe and comfortable. In the end, I can definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to experience horse riding with beautiful nature! If I could, I would give them more than 5 stars! I would definitely come back again!

It was my first time riding a horse and it was perfect. The whole experience was fantastic. The staff was very friendly, professional and helpful, they looked after us very well. The view was beautiful during our ride and my horse was the best 😊 All the horses seemed well looked after. We spent 1 hour (or maybe a few mins more) on the horses, they didn’t take away any time due to preparation etc (we had to arrive 30 mins earlier for that). Helmet and boots were provided. We even did cantering! I felt safe and comfortable despite being nervous at the beginning, thanks to the staff.

We had an absolute blast riding into Killarney National Park. We trotted right up to the red deer and they had zero fear of us. The young ladies that took us out were so fun to talk to, and shared their knowledge with us. Wish I could remember their names because they so cool. Tell Martin thanks for being a good boy while I was riding him.

Had a great early morning ride in Killarney National Park with engaged and helpful team of rider instructors. Horses were generally well behaved and had personality (Dinsie likes to sneak a bite of grass any chance he can!) Started with a minimum of fuss and were treated to great scenery of the Park and lake. Saw deer, Kerry cows, rabbits, and more in our two hour trek. Mostly walked with a couple short trots. Recommended and would definitely go back.

Great experience riding in the country side of Ireland! Beautiful country with fresh air and lots of greenery. Acres and acres of land with lots of deers, rabbit and walking trails alongside horse trail. Tour guides were all amazing and very informative during our ride. Tour is an hour long and cost $82.80 USD pp. Not given 5 stars because of the riding gear provided. You choose your riding boots and safety hard hat. Took us over 15 minutes finding one that fit us. First off, UK sizes they provide is definitely not the equivalent of what they say the US sizes are. They also don't have half sizes. Boots vary in height from the calve length to ankle. They smell (obvious), some are ripped, not a lot to choose from (mine was big on me and loose). Hard hats also smell of sweaty hair inside (they say they wash it as we had to hang it on rail when we were done). Just saying with how much we pay, they need to get new equipment.

I can't say enough about Doni and our guide Victoria. Together they made my dream of riding Ireland come true. My sister and I spent 3 wonderful days in the Glenbeigh area riding. Horses were top notch and being a horse owner and experienced rider we were able to ride at our own pace. Highly, highly recommend Killarney Riding Stables. From first time rider to experienced rider, they have the horse and guide for you.

I visited the Killarney Riding Stables for two half day rides this summer and I had the time of my life! I loved the guides who treated me like a lifelong friend. The horses were amazing and very responsive. I felt like I was riding my own horse with a friend in one of the most beautiful parks in the world. Couldn’t be better.

Went on the morning ride. It was amazing. The views were beautiful. The instructors were knowledgeable. I would recommend this to everyone. They do a circle around the national forest and stop at the end for photos.
