New and exciting vegetarian focused restaurant in Kilkenny. Make no mistake, this is not a restaurant for vegetarians, this is a food lovers restaurant, that is coming from an avid meat eater. Serving incredibly unique and creative dishes using locally sourced and foraged ingredients. The food is truly fantastic I can't recommend it enough. The staff are very kind and welcoming also. This place is a must visit no matter what dietary requirements you have with plenty of gluten free and vegan options also. 10/10 I can't wait to go back.

Lots of vegan options, both on the brunch menu and also the set dinner menu. Small and intimate setting. It's an open kitchen so the skill level is high and apparent. Excellent use of locally grown and sourced products. There is even some foraged produce on the ingredient list.

Can’t say enough good things about my experience here. I went for an early Thursday brunch and was met by lovely staff and seated. Took me a while to decide as the menu all looked good. I had visited their pop up restaurant before so knew I was in for a treat. I went with ‘Cabbage’ which is a savoury pancake, kimchi, poached egg amongst other delicious ingredients. After I finished the chef came out to say hello and described what I had eaten. I know it was early in the day but still a great touch. I heard him doing the same with the table behind me. I’ll be back to try the rest of the menu. Delighted Kilkenny has an authentic vegetarian restaurant. It might be all veggie but its guaranteed to be loved by veggies, vegans and meat eaters alike!

Very central with a unique interior and lots of energy. Great food at a decent price. Myself and my partner, Fermion, don't normally go out looking for vegan as we have been disappointed in the past. However the results from the team at Higgs Field were mind blowing. Really tasty breakfast roll, pasta, ice cream and coffee.

Absolutely incredible new restaurant in the heart of Kilkenny City, ideal for anyone looking to jump aboard the flavour train. A unique twist on vegetarian dining with fresh, seasonal and locally foraged ingredients. The team at Higgs Field are as noteworthy as the food, elevating the dining experience by creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. I ate here last night with some friends for dinner and we all opted for the chefs tasting menu and what an experience it was! I had hoped to post some pictures of the food with my review but as each plate arrived at our table the only sensible thing to do was to dive in and explore the wonderful combination of flavours and textures immediately. Easily one of the best dining experiences I have had in years and we are already planning on returning again soon. Congrats to the team at Higgs Field and I wish you all the success you rightly deserve.

My husband and I were looking for a vegan place for dinner and were recommended this place by a shopkeeper close by. It looks small from the outside but there's a beautiful cosy room in the back. We met the chefs and they're super nice. We opted for the Chef tasting menu (vegan) every dish was super. I would happily come here again. Plus, they strive for local produce and foraging!! If only we were here a few more days, I would love to try their brunch. Every foodie lover should give this try.

The food was so so good. So full of flavour, really impressive. We were a late walk-in at 9.20pm and they took us straight in! The chefs popped down and chatted, great to meet you both - nice touch guys. My boyfriend isn’t vegan/vegetarian he was super impressed. We are gonna head back Saturday for the brunch. Wishing you guys well with your new business venture, I will definitely come back to Kilkenny again for future staycations just to visit Higgs Field Restaurant!

Wonderful food, fresh local ingredients and such talent behind it all. Every dish was beautifully presented and tasted sublime. So great to have such an exciting place like this in Kilkenny.

Amazing dinner experience with creative and very tasty dishes. All ingredients were very fresh and the chef’s skill in dealing with the ingredients was perfect. Looking forward to having another fantastic food experience at Higgs Field again soon!

A reason to revisit Kilkenny in and of itself! We had dinner one evening and came back for brunch out of curiosity. The passion for local food and seasonal ingredients is infectious. Higgs field is re-establishing Irish food culture one vegetarian dish at a time, and you would do well to enjoy the fruits of their creative journey. 6 stars with hyperbole.

Absolutely top-notch. Everything is locally sourced and extremely fresh - they even hand-make their own crisps, which go brilliantly with the breakfast roll. The kimchi pancake was unusual and delicious. As a non vegetarian I was highly impressed. This place is a great addition to the Kilkenny food scene. Full marks from me - a resounding 5/5!

Came upon this restaurant and am so happy I did. Menu is filled with local and foraged ingredients and lots of vegan and vegetarian options. Best breakfast I’ve had in Ireland, would recommend the foraged tea and breakfast roll. Excellent service as well

Hands-down the best brunch experience in Kilkenny. The Oyster Mushroom dish is just exceptional. I don’t think I’ve tasted better Sorbet either. This is quality, quality food. Bravo to the chef.

It is not often that one has vegetarian lunch out in a nearby cafe and is faced with a very exciting menu. Higgs Field did just that. The food was stunning. I had the Brassica Savory pancake. It was a new taste for me and delicious. The ice cream was to die for.

Incredible food, every course tastier than the last. Can’t wait to visit again!
