Fancy place from the outside and beautiful looking. But that’s about it. Wifi in my room (Room #3 on the first floor) was not working and I had to use my data. It’s a nasty room - dark and with no air flow. Couldn’t open the window and the window was blocked by a brick wall which made the room feel like a dungeon. Hot water in the shower ran out before I was able to rinse shampoo out of my hair. No vent in the bathroom either so all the moisture stayed in it and made the mirrors foggy as well as the bedroom window until the following morning !!! I slept in a muggy room, moisty room because of it. And the worst part - the night club on the floor below. Noise until 1 am. Staff isn’t friendly and looks like they hate their job. Lobby is dark and gloomy. Breakfast was in a beautiful hall but mediocre taste and filled with stuffy, snobby people. The staff wasn’t friendly. Wouldn’t stay here again.

Was here for a wedding recently. They done an amazing job the staff where super friendly and the set up they had was top notch. Really enjoyed myself

If your in Kilkenny and feel hungry, it’s gotta be Langtons. The food is and always has been top notch. We had our wedding reception here in 2015, and have come back a couple of times since. Today the food was as good as it was when we were sitting down to our wedding dinner… and we were ordering off the bar menu. Sean the wedding manager recognising us after so long was a nice touch. Langtons is a real special place.

The food and service are not what it was in the past . for those who are not regulars they wouldn't notice but local regulars its a huge change and unfortunately not a good one ...prices( like everywhere )have greatly increased but food and service not as good .. I'll always try again as it iconic in kilkenny . Eamon Langton made it amazing ..he's retired now so it's all changed .

Poor quality food - I ordered chicken wings as a starter and I got 7 small fries up wings with hardly any meat on them, soaked in hot sauce. I sent them back and wasn’t charged. The breakfast wasn’t great, mean portions, dried up rashers, cheap sausages. Lovely interior, staff were nice but avoid for food.

Excellent staff, very friendly and efficient. The bar is great, there was a couple of lads singing on the Sunday night. They were very enjoyable to listen to. Hotel is spotless and food is delicious. We had dinner on 2 nights, great choice and both were gorgeous. Breakfast is excellent. Will definitely return.

Was here recently for a friend's wedding. I didn't stay the night but the service was amazing and the ballroom area was exceptionally well laid out for the wedding party. Great location and would recommend for a short stay in Ireland's medieval hub.

Celebrated our mother's 70th birthday, 6 kids under 12 plenty of options, 3 courses €15 and 3 courses for €36 for adults. Booked a private room for only €35. 2 staff attending to us all evening. Great service, value and as always delicious food would always recommend 👌

Pretentious soulless reception area. Dark lobby lacking adequate safety measures to prevent breaking one’s leg! And no one offer any assistance. Hospitality doesn’t exists at this establishment.

Myself and my Fiancé went for a wedding. I was a bridesmaid so my room was 200 each night, it was one of the biggest rooms and the bride got ready in the the morning of the wedding. The upkeep of the cleanliness, professionalism, etc was amazing. The atmosphere within the hotel was amazing. It's in the middle of the town which is great to just be able to walk out and about. I absolutely loved it all. The breakfast is amazing! The 4 course meal was unbelievably gorgeous. The staff were amazing. I really enjoyed and loved this hotel. Recommend completely.

Just back from my sons wedding. Staff were wonderful and very friendly. One thing that lets it down is the room we were in. If other rooms were like ours then they’re badly in need of redecorating. While I appreciate it’s an old building the rooms do need to be modernised. Other than that it was a fantastic place to stay and again I must mention the staff and especially Sean who co-ordinated everything, he was fantastic. Would definitely go again but please spend a few quid on upgrading the rooms.

Called in with a party of 5 for evening dinner in restaurant, service was excellent, staff were so friendly and accommodating even to the point of cooking something for 2 vegetarians .we are so grateful for everything you did for us on the night. Continued success to a very popular dining experience.

Booked a table a few weeks ago to make sure we got one and when we arrived the restaurant was closed so we were sent to the bar. We where not asked about reservation because it was not busy. Server was very nice he took our order promptly which seemed to come out too quickly. We had our meal within 30 minutes. I ordered steak medium. The steak was warm not hot it did not look great I was disappointed with the whole experience not even an email to mention the restaurant would not be open. Very poor communication. I won't be rushing back.

Hotel was truly amazing. Service was impecable other than two incidents miserable old trout at breakfast. Smiles cost nothing eh!. Location is stunning. More bars than you can shake a stick at!!! The rooms are also classy and comfortable. The food, though, is truly bland and overpriced. Nothing I ate here was satisfactory. The gravy tasted granular and was the same on every dish. The Thai fishcakes we just one small and tasteless western fishcake. The pate was nothing to write home about. Meat was tough and dry across the board. Truly disappointed.

I was at a wedding here. Firstly, food was top class, couldn't ask for more. Reception and venue in the set bar was excellent and a lovely outdoor area. The staff were very nice and hospitable. Free spacious carpark on site. Top class venue

Really lovely hotel. Good breakfast (if a little slow - make sure you allow extra time if you are on a schedule !!!). Also dinner choice is very poor for non-meat eaters. But overall a very pleasant place to stay.

Went for a lunch, lovely atmosphere, good food at great value, and good vibes all round. Very enjoyable and will come back again.

Had the pleasure of attending a wedding here, unfortunately, couldn't get a room as they were fully booked. An amazing venue, food amazing, couldn't fault the service. I'll definitely be back, but this time to stay overnight.

Went here for dinner with a group of friends. Food was good. We ordered a bottle of wine we were not charged for on the bill. When we brought it management's attention we asked for a discount which was refused. Our honesty accounted for nought. We wlll not return or recommend.

Very nice hotel location perfect for access to the town ,staff very nice and helpful ,food was lovely,would have no problem staying again at the hotel . Only issue for wheelchair users or disabled people you would have to get a room on the ground floor ,all stairs no elevators from what I could see but again a nice place to stay

A beautiful place for a wedding! Was blown away at how lovely the staff were! One waiter in particular by the name of David went above and beyond for the people at my table! Couldn't thank him enough! There was a vegetarian/vegan menu that was absolutely delicious! Probably the best vegan food I've ever had at a wedding! Would highly recommend this place!

Fantastic place! Great location. It is gorgeous and the team there are great! Was there for my Cousins wedding! What a venue for a wedding! FAB! The only slight downside of the hotel is the wedding was at 2, check-in was 4. Had to spend a couple of hours driving in what I was wearing to the wedding so it was very wrinkled. It took me a half hour during the wedding to check-in. Lastly, no elevators to rooms, lots of stairs. But those did not affect my opinion of how fabulous a place it is! Can't wait to go back!

The welcome, service. cleanliness, ambiance and drinks were without fault. The food on the other hand was disappointing for an establishment with such a positive reputation. The chicken in Caesar salad was very tender and moist the salad leaves fresh, the bacon bits non-existent, the cheese and sauce tasteless. The falafels came covered in sauce - a first for us, we returned them and they were replaced with a smile, but they were tasteless. The fries were good, hot and chunky. Our intended celebration morphed into a disappointment. I hope it was a once off.

Food is always very good and always have a good time when I go there. I recently turned vegan and there is many options even for vegetarian which is a bit disappointing and could be improved. Other than that always loved it

As always the best in kilkenny. A great service and really good food. I had the tagliatelle and smoked chicken with a half bottle of house red. Excellent. Just go ahead and make a booking .you will not be disappointed.

We had a lovely night with their Valentine's set dinner. The food were very tasty, big portion made us full after having starter.

We attended a wedding in Langtons and from the moment we arrived, everything was super. The staff were so friendly. The rooms were very comfortable and so warm and the food was excellent. Would highly recommend and hopefully will be back again!

Hotel itself is lovely, we stayed in the John street suite and it was so nice. But the food in the hotel was awful, we ate in the bar, the food came out within 5 minutes after we ordered, which was way to quick, my burger was also burnt, it was definitely not worth €18.50. We then filled out a form so that we could receive breakfast to our room, The sign was never taken off the door so I rang reception to tell them, they said they would send someone up with the breakfast, but even after that we still received no breakfast and had to go down to the restaurant to get breakfast, i said it to the staff and they said they never heard anything. I think the hotel has amazing potential, they just need to get a few things in check first.

The staff are very efficient ,helpful and pleasant. Dinner was excellent. Was given a free up grade and was very excited to see a bath in the room,as no longer have one at home. Was really looking forward to having one,but could not get the plug out of side ,so could not use it. The bathroom door does not close,but didn't matter as was on my own. The bed was so comfortable . The hotel is located very centrally.

Colette the restaurant manager was absolutely amazing. She is a credit to langtons. I was there today with my family having lunch and we were sitting in the front part of the restaurant so I had the pleasure of watching Colette managing the area. She even changed the type of chair for an old lady as Colette believed it was too low for her.

Had a meal there last week with a friend...we ordered 2 different dishes....it was absolutely fabulous! Will be back next week....Staff wonderful and so polite...what more can I say... except well done!

I stayed here with a group of friends last week. The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are spacious and spotless. The hotel is located right in the city. A perfect base for soaking up the brilliant atmosphere in Kilkenny. The staff were absolutely super! So friendly and helpful. In particular the barman Joe and the porter Ciaran went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed.

We have eaten there for 30 years+ and its consistently good. Food service is usually very fast and the staff are attentive. The decor is glamorous and high end, yet the vibe during the day is smart casual. All the different sections cater for different age groups and events. It's a cleverly set out bussines.

We had our wedding at Langtons and it was exceptional, the staff were absolutely brilliant and Sean & Louise were really great at coordinating it all. The venue itself is quirky and fun. The rooms were also very nice and clean. All round a fantastic service.
