Left Bank is a more chic and upscale bar than the traditional pubs you usually find, though their drink prices were still reasonable. It’s built in an old bank (hence the name) and still retains some of the design. There are two bars that are slightly separated, one which is much larger that also serves beer and a smaller one in the back that is cocktails only. The bartenders are very professional and the service was on point. It seems this is the hot spot in town that people get a little more dressed up for.

Stylish, modern and chic, the Left Bank is a place that one must visit when in Kilkenny for food and drinks. I also love how they retained some of the elements of when the site used to be a bank. The quick and efficient service is always a huge plus for me. I ordered the pan-seared fillet of hake and it’s probably one of the best ones I’ve ever had. The textures are fantastic, from the tender vegetables to the crisp, perfectly-salted skin of the hake. It was a wonderfully balanced dish packed with a lot of umami. I quite liked the presentation too. It’s not difficult to see why this place is so highly rated. We came to visit again recently and the standards improved even more (their cheesecakes are divine)!

Had a great night here. Started with dinner in Rive Gauche, drinks in the bar and later to the night club. Great staff and excellent service.

The greatest bar I’ve ever been. Awesome collection of drinks. Wonderful Ambiente. You come in and feel home directly. Brilliant service and decent priced. Could be easily somewhere like Havanna.

Overall good fun. Music Is loud and grooving is plentiful. People could do with smiling a bit more but I guess this is fairly commonplace in general "nightclubs". Few people with notions but such is the 9-5 mon to Fri life 😒 (don't think I'll be joining the status quo lifestyle any time soon 🙊) like a cattle mart on Saturday nights . Not room to swing a cat really 🐱 Lookit it'll take a good bit of work to get anywhere near the quality of Matt the Millers but god loves a trier . Peace out people.

Loved the atmosphere in this place. Really busy as it was a Saturday night on St Patricks weekend. Out with a few friends and spent a couple of hours in this place with a bite to eat and a few pints. Really enjoyed my time there and would go back if I ever visit Kilkenny.

I mean…WOW! Spectacular! Amazing food and so delicious. The staff were so kind and friendly. This restaurant is absolutely gorgeous and gigantic. As if you’re in a different era and different world. The waiters knew we were in a rush and they made sure they served us quick and efficient. The food is excellent and so tasty. You must eat here.

We had the Wild Atlantic fish Chowder, baby back pork ribs, left bank signature burger and Guiness. It was mind blowing and I could taste the freshness of the fish and the other meat. Ribs were very tasty and fell off the bones with the perfect barbeque sauce. The location is perfect and the ambience very beautiful. The paintings inside are vintage and very artistically put. We enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend this place for their tasty food and great location.

Friendly service, local beers on draft. Baby back ribs sauce needs some zing, but were nice and tender and a great price. Vegan curry had a great flavor but was mostly chick peas. Overall a nice place.

Good food, great atmosphere, and very good service. The food is well-above average bar/pub food, with hard things like roasted chicken executed well (it was juicy not dry with crispy skin). Service was prompt and friendly , and he vibe is pretty close to perfect.

Nice pub, a little bit too big to be cozy but still very cool ambience. Staff is nice but a little bit stressed when it's getting more crowded. Food was really good and quick as well as the drinks. Still a little bit more pricey than your average pub.

I visited the Left Bank bar after my visit to Kilkenny Castle. The bar is very nice and decorated nicely, as well. I got a Bulmers Cider and a couple of Smithwicks Red Ale. They were both very good, as was the service. A bartender that I was talking with in Dublin recommended this place and he was spot on with the Left Bank.

A stunning cocktail bar. My goodness the décor was to die for. The interior designer and owner's attention to detail is spectacular. Bright and airy. Attentive, really well presented plentiful staff with gorgeous cocktails. Fabulous.

Only had my favourite espresso coffee. Plenty of parking. The outside appearance is in stark contrast to the ambience of the interior. There is a loft area for extra seating. The curios are wonderful.

It doesn’t matter if you’re visiting this landmark gastro pub in Kilkenny for lunch, evening meal or just drinks, you’re not going to be disappointed. We’ve been coming here since 2013 and neither service nor food has ever been less than perfect for what you’re paying for. Staff are professional and courteous, the place itself is always very clean and welcoming. There’s often live music on in the evening, and it gets extremely busy during tourist season from May through September. Definitely a place to have on your list, and if you want a more formal dining experience then the adjoining restaurant Rive Gauche fits the bill.

Had a delicious dinner and dessert here, cottage pie and creme brûlée. I loved the espresso martini. It’s sweet. Service was friendly and welcoming. Loved the vibe and low key jazz in the background.

Never found the right bank! But this will do! Drinks by the street so I can pple watch. Good service wife liked the food. Amazing cocktail bar! Worth it just to see the bar and order a drink. Used to be a bank then was purchased for 8.5M to convert to a bar.

Grate staff. Very safe feel. Door staff are very fair and helpful. Easy to get served. Also you can tell that there is pride in the way its ran. Love the decor and history of the place. Exilent for tourists.

Beautiful place. We had some jazz live music on Sunday from 5pm to 7pm. We arrived around 5ish and the place was already full... we could find a little table in the corner where we got to listen to most of the concert. The band was great! The singer very nice and friendly. We got to chat with her for a little bit. The staff very nice and polite as well. Overall a great experience. And the decoration is fabulous!

Definitely worth to visit. Decor is just amazing and personnel is very nice. They serve very good Guinness but other beers are good as well.

👍👍 Great American style restaurant in the middle of Kilkenny. The portions are so big and the food tastes amazing. They have Corona on tap, which I've never seen in Ireland before. I recommend the ribs. They are beautiful ❤️ The staff was great and very fast too. The place is also kid's friendly. Lov...
