Did the long loop walk. Nice and easy, no steep hills. Met a good few families out walking with the dogs. Children enjoyed it, and loved seeing the deers. Walled garden must have been lovely in its day. Plenty of parking, and public toilets.

Gorgeous trails and friendly deer that will walk right up to the gate and allow you to pet them. There's a washroom available to immediately wash your hands afterwards (deer can carry diseases). Highly recommend spending some time there.

Nice forest park. Plenty of parting and also toilet facilities. Two loop walks are very accessible and open. Deer are an unusual attraction. However, of the many forest walk we’ve been to in Kilkenny this one has least variety. Well surfaced perimeter walk took about 45 minutes and we added on the shorter one for good measure!

What a beautiful walk with nature in Jenkinstown. I really enjoyed the greenery, the tranquility and Deer's 🦌. Lovely for families to pack a picnic and explore different routes through the woods. The leaves are falling making it quite spectacular (colour wise).

Absolutely beautiful woods. We stayed in a shepherd's hut at Jenkinstown House (located right beside it) and enjoyed a few lovely walks including a midnight stroll.

Great for a walk. Can be mucky after lots of rain so bring appropriate clothing and footwear. No bins available so be prepared to bring any rubbish you have home.

Amazing views and spotless. It has a coffee cart that is a brilliant idea especially after a long walk. Loads of picnic benches.

Lovely woodland walk. Two options available: one roughly 20 mins, and one 40 mins. We brought carrots with us to feed the deer (not wild). Loads of wildlife, plenty of birds, we got to see a red squirrel too. The walled gardens are perfect for a picnic, especially if the weather is nice.

Beautiful gem of a spot for a family walk. Buggy friendly dog friendly and great place for the kids to explore in and out of the woods, plenty of space for your picnic after. Walk only takes about an hour and is very manageable for all levels and a surprise of reindeer in the field just at the start..

Lovely area, wooded area has just a small walk ideal for children, very sheltered too as any time we have visited it rained so shelter was welcomed.

This is a wonderful place for a walk. Deep woodland, not manicured but left as nature intended. A good few routes to enjoy. Many people walk their dogs here so it’s always nice if you enjoy meeting dogs on their walks. Some deer located near the car park. Excellent toilet facilities also.

Lovely walk through the woods. It can be as long or short as you want. Different routes. Toilet facilities very clean. Dog friendly.

Several loop walks in the forest. Between 1km,2km 3.1km,you can vary. Toilets cleaned daily . Deer park, seating area open and over roofed . Most walks possible with stroller etc. To lengthen you can park car at Ballyrafton woods and walk 2 km to Jenkinstown. Cross over the Dinan river, along fields and the forest. Scenic garden displays on the way and a private lake . At the entrance the old Jenkinstown castle. Plenty of car parking there and at and after entrance.

Lovely walk, the forest is just beautiful. Plenty of space for kids to run and play, in a windy day you can event fly a kite there. The fort is also a huge attraction and kids love to play hide and seek there. If you're lucky you can see some deers.

So beautiful. All the blue bells in the forest are absolutely magnificent. Clean not a lot of dog mess on the ground which is always a bonus. No deer near the gates one off in the distance. Shame.⁸ Fantastic place. 👍💝
