I always try to make a trip when I'm back in Ireland. I used to buy the pottery for my mom but now I'm buying for me. Don't overlook the cafe they have on the upper floor where the seconds are either. Lovely scones with a lovely view.

We have Nicholas Moss pottery, as do probably most Irish families. My favourite coffee mug is from there. The nice thing about it is that if you break one, you have a good chance of being able to replace it, either with the same, or a similar design. The coffee shop is VERY popular with the local ladies. And local has a very wide radius...

When in Kilkenny this pottery paradise is a must visit place. The collections are unique and if you are into collecting such art pieces then this is the place. The restaurant matches up to the place. Coffee, Tart and cakes are next level.

Lovely setting. Browsed around. Upstairs there is a selection of 2nds priced which aren't that bad. Went back downstairs to browse some more. Nothing was priced. I think maybe the price depends on what type of tourist you are and allows for up-pricing! There was 3 staff on. The lady, who seemed to be a manager (2/1/23) seemed to be more interested on engaging the other 2 staff to help her wipe down shelves than to be actually helpful. Enquired about 2 different products. First one wasn't priced, when we asked it seemed we were interfering and were told its around 50 euro. We noticed a little jam pot gift set marked at 4.50 euro. Going by other prices we had seen we were puzzled by the low price. We asked the same lady again, who seemed to be even more annoyed we asked, she proceeded to keep doing her wiping, and without even looking or making any eye contact, told us it was about 20 euro. In reality I should have bought the 5 that were left at the 4.50 price tag because that's the price displayed, but it wasn't worth the argument with the very rude, very unaccommadating, unhelpful lady. We could have been anyone with any amount of money to spend. Maybe if we had American or French or any distant accent she might have been more helpful.

Smaller store than the reputation leads to the imagination but very country and very worthwhile to visit and see. Staff were super friendly even from behind the glass in the production area. Only down side was we went 1st thing in the morning to have coffee but the coffee shop didn't open until 11am.

Stunning pottery shop, with a chance to view the Potters at work. The cafe has great fresh food to pick from after having a look around.

Nice spot for a coffee if you're up this direction (and only if it's sunny enough to sit outside). The "seconds" floor is full of marginally reduced prices but worth it if you're interested in a full set.

A great spot to browse and shop and who doesn't love Nicky Mosse pottery 😍 As well as the 'normal' shop you have a seconds shop available on the first floor (lift available). Lovely coffee shop also with delicious coffee and treats. Lunches looked amazing also but didn't try any. There is also a viewing area where you can watch the potters in action but tbh, I've only visited at the weekends when potters were finished work.

Lovely pottery shop with a great cafe on the top floor. Great for gifts and homeware for yourself. The seconds area ( pieces that have a fault) is nice for getting pieces at a discount .

Lovely old world charm and to see one of the old Mills being adapted and still in use unlike the 1,000s that are just a shell and from a time when we exported flour and grain and sadly, now when 90% of our flour is imported. So sad and Long may your beautiful building continue to be a working mill even though it's been adapted to a new purpose.

It's just a lovely space to wander among beautiful things. Staff are lovely and very helpful. Food in cafe is wholesome and has decent size portions. All together, a lovely place to visit.

I visit the shop whenever I am in Ireland. I have my purchases posted home and they arrive in perfect condition in less than a week.

Review is for the Cafe only. Lady in the cafe was very rude when we me and my family tried to assists cleaning the table before we sat down. We over charged(refunded straight away) and then when we told her she was rude she didn't seem to care at all.

When my grandmother passed, I inherited her 4 small mugs (the ones with the sheep). She bought them more than 30 years ago on a vacation to Ireland. Now, my grandmother was always hard on things--she would put nice clothes in the dryer on high and ran her china through the dishwasher. These cups were no exception. Yet 30+ years and hundreds of dishwasher and microwave cycles later, these mugs still look exactly like the photos on their website.

Just love it. Pricey...but a wee bit special. Lovely service and a great coffee also while relaxing enjoying watching the geese outside and the river nore gently flow onward.

Lovely place to visit and nice cafe, had lovely scone and tea. Just wish the "seconds" were a little more reasonable...not much less than full price. Well worth a visit tho'....

Absolutely love 💘 Nicolas Moss products, and always a pleasure to visit the factory shop. We purchased a new milk jug , functionality and a beautiful piece.

This was a most enjoyable visit. Unfortunately there isn't much of a museum, just a shop but the products are stunning and their antique collection is wonderful to see. They stock other Irish craft products and have a nice café with some iconic recyclable coffee cups.

A super place to visit : friendly, accessible, historic, immensly interesting, informative, full of superb craftsmen and women making outstanding pottery. After enjoying a delicious home- made scone, jam and cream with excellent coffee outside in the sun, I came home with a Fuscia pattern Lasange dish and can't wait to get back again some day.

Our visit to Nicolas Mosse Pottery was a complete success. The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. We requested our purchase to be sent to Boston and to our surprise it arrived in 5 days at it's destination. This is remarkable. Furthermore our experience at the café was equally impressive. It was the only premises that not only asked us for our vaccine certificate but also for proof of ID. We cannot recommend this place highly enough.
