Lovely hotel. Our rooms were fabulous. Everywhere was spotless. Breakfast was excellent. Staff all so friendly. Child friendly. Pool great. I found the bar food menu a little flat and very expensive. Highly recommend overall, will definitely be back

Amazing hotel, they have fantastic facilities for the little ones! They really have thought of everything even a family room with kitchen, indoor soft play area for toddlers and a games room for the bigger ones! The outdoor pool has to be experienced, it is pure bliss!

My family had a wonderful time, all the staff were extremely helpful and friendly and very well trained, the rooms were excellent, the Air Con a life saver. The play areas for the kids would be the best we've been to and very well looked after, the fairy trail was brilliant. The animals were absolutely amazing. Highly recommend place indeed.

Fantastic for family weekend break. Pack up the kids for a weekend and head to this place, it has it all. European style kids club with dinosaurs, spa and swimming pool and family friendly dining, all at a reasonable price. Staff are youthful but well trained and understand the needs of family’s on vacation. The swimming pool has sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and plunge pool and is great for a relax. Free entrance to Jurassic world is the icing on the cake, and the kids club get private use at 20.00. Food is good and tailored to the audience, tasty and uncomplicated. The only downside is the location is a bit outside Kilkenny centre and on a main road. Finally, really impressed with the staffs ability to handle family’s and with such a friendly demeanour. If you want a short break with the family, this is the place

We enjoyed a wonderful family stay here. The rooms we very clean and spacious (only reason not to give 5 star for room was the bathroom was a little dated). The staff were all so hopeful and couldn't have done more. The kids absolutely loved all of the amenities. Although it's a very busy hotel it was not noisy at all. The food was delicious in the restaurant with a great variety of options available at breakfast and dinner

Visited the Jurassic farm. Kids enjoyed it. Its small so you'll get around it quite quickly. Good playground and go carts are free. Entrance fee isn't cheap if you have a few kids, then you've to pay extra for the bouncy castle.

Great food. But wedding guests came out were we were having dinner. So i couldn't hear people opposite me with shouting going on. But it's a good place too eat in.

Stunning hotel. Fantastic facilities. Lots for kids to do. The only downfall is the food in the evening time. Breakfast was lovely but evening food wasn't good. We had to hand back many dishes. Kids goujons were stale and Cold. Kids spagetti was drowning in a pool of water. Chickens wings was 6 small wings for 14 euro and the inside was pinkish. Cost a fortune and definitely wasn't worth it. Should really be looked into as whoever is responsible for the food isn't doing the greatest job. Other then that the hotel is amazing..the rooms are stunning. Kids room for kids, kids club for the evening time. Staff are lovely and pleasant and very helpful and friendly. Every thing is close by. Car park can be very busy and can be a bit tight in some parts. Jurassic world is brilliant. Overall would be 5 out of 5 but has to be marked down over the food.

Apon first arrival the hotel it's a lovely view, their is lots of parking near and far from reception. When we entered the lobby there was beautiful piano music, the staff at reception where excellent, there is little stairs up to the counter for smaller kids which is a lovely touch. The rooms are a bit small for a family, but there is everything you could need in it.

I attended a wedding reception in the hotel (July '23). Whilst I wasn't able to stay in the hotel other guests told me their rooms were excellent and spacious. The food and service at the wedding were excellent. Staff took time to ensure everyone was catered for. An excellent day out.

We stayed here for 2 nights with our 3 kids. The hotel itself has lots to do so you don’t actually need to leave the hotel if you don’t want to, the kids loved the Jurassic park & there’s a swimming pool & kids club too! We had a small issue with our room, but was sorted straight away and manager and staff was very professional and friendly. We stayed in the superior family room, comfy beds, bath & walk in shower. lovely rooms 😊 We had food in the terrace and bar, all food was fab and breakfast was delicious! Really enjoyed our stay and kids didn’t want to leave, will be back in future for sure 😊

Spend there 3 night with 2 small kids, the hotel it's really kids friendly, the staff is amazing, food is great and the attractions are super! I would highly recommend the hotel to anyone who is looking for a staycation with the kids of all ages :)

Stayed with my partner and two young children for 2 nights. The hotel room was spotless, spacious room and comfy beds. The Jurassic park , fairy trail and park was great for the kids. Swimming pool area could be more child friendly with more playing facilities. Lots to do to keep little ones entertained but it was a little oversold as the fairy trail is very small more a few trees than woodland walk. Bouncing castle is separate and needs to be paid for and pre booked. Good choice of menus and great choice of hotel for families.

It truly is a get away, sometimes we can just go to a hotel but this feels like a holiday. The room was both beautiful and clean. The food and service was excellent from start to finish. Had some lovely cocktails after dinner too and they were made to perfection. The highlights for me had to be Jurassic Newpark and the spa though ! The Jurassic Park part was led expertly by Luke and there was a fantastic and fun trail after his show to enjoy and see more dinos at . The spa was really lovely especially the pool outside which melded nature and luxury. Will be going again and would highly recommend.

Great experience and service! Pricing is decent for f&b, room felt overpriced. Would be great to have air conditioning in all rooms (standard rooms don't have it, others do). It got to 26 degrees at one point, very uncomfortable to sleep in. Had a small fan though. The room had way too many mirrors, just creating an extra worry for a child to break one. Mirrored sliding wardrobe door, mirror on the bathroom door and more on walls. The window opened very low as well, so was hard keeping the toddler away from it but closing the window would mean turning the room into a sauna. LOTS of nettles around the Jurassic Park!! Otherwise, great entertainment for families. Small indoor playroom was a nice thing to have. Arcade room looked great but sadly everything was turned off.

Good hotel with tonnes of amenities. Delicious food and great leisure centre. The infinity pool is very relaxing. Family room was a bit cramped, shower was pathetic, beds very narrow. Other then that very clean. It's a nice hotel within walking distance of Kilkenny city

Just back from an amazing stay!! We had the best time 😊 This is such a perfect hotel for families and we can't wait to come back! The staff are incredible, the place is spotless and there's just so much to do with the kids. The pool area is brilliant and Jurassic World and everything in the park area is so much fun!!

Just back from our stay We stayed in a superior room 325 Room is very basic for a superior room On arrival we had a fantastic meal in Scott's Steak was beautifully cooked But for a €38 meal the chips were diabolical Staff are very friendly No fault there Breakfast has to be the most disappointing we have ever had in any hotel 5 people given one slice of toast each and 1 teapot We requested some more but never got it The Jurassic was is in need of a bit of landscaping Very run down Like most things in Ireland it is only half done Hotel landing dark and smelly

We had a small wedding abroad and had a celebration back home at Newpark and we could not recommend them more! The staff were so kind and helpful, super clear communication made us feel like royalty. Greeted us with prosecco and chocolates in our beautiful suite ❤️ Our guests raved about the location, food, and service. Thank you guys!

We had a family gathering in this hotel. 3 superior room. Room amazing, staff amazing, food amazing, kids loved Dinosaur park and bounce arena. Staff so helpful and polite. Very child friendly. My mother has a mobility scooter and everyone helped with making her stay so effortless. We hope to visit this hotel again in the future ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

So far so good... So Family friendly, really geared for families. 6 year old absolutely loves it. When we arrived the room wasn't ready which was expected as we were there well before 2pm, so we wandered out for a walk. Stumbled upon Jurassic New Park World and my God... Little one was just made up. Really good experience... Buzzing the entire time... Stayed longer than we thought so had to rush back get changed in our room which was ready hours at that stage!!! And then head for an amazing dinner together in Scott's restaurant. Having cocktails now while the little one at kids club in the evening... Just wonderful so far. Happy happy place for families. (They have Middleton Whiskey on the shelves too so that's a real parents treat!!)

Stayed with 2 toddlers. Dealing with Rita was an absolute pleasure. She helped me with the booking of the room. The room was spotless and very large. The dinosaur Park was a big hit with my 2 boys. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. We will hopefully stay again in the future.

Great stay in the hotel with very friendly staff. We went with our 4 year old daughter, very child friendly place. Room is spacious but furniture is dated and some repairs needed. Outdoor facilities were great but very reliant on good weather. Overall we enjoyed our trip and would stay again.

A lovely hotel with amazing staff. The Spa is second to none with very experienced staff. There is a pet farm out back of the hotel, a playground with a fairy village. Perfect for families. While the hotel itself looked like it had a makeover, there were some areas that need immediate attention: the carpets on the ground floor to the room were heavily stained. In the bar area, all the red lampshades look very dirty with grease and dust. I observed that the tables were not cleaned properly after diners left. Set menu for hotel guests was disappointing. On Sunday night the ladies toilet had not been cleaned since our arrival at 2.30 that afternoon. Certain areas of the hotel were very dusty. The hotel room was spotless and modern. Overall some conflicting areas within the hotel that could easily be fixed by good housekeeping. I would recommend a stay here.

We stayed here for a weekend break and we loved it! Fantastic food and the staff are exceptional!! We really loved the pool this was our highlight! Again the staff at the pool are amazing especially Ian who was very friendly hard working and very informative! Thank you all! We would Highly recommend this Hotel 10/10 & we will return!!

The hotel was nice enough but the toilet ran in the room the whole stay and the safe in the room wouldn't work. Staff said they would fix both and fixed neither. For the money I would have hoped to have a room that was in good repair. Food in the bar was passable but not really the quality one would expect for the price. The proximity to Kilkenny town was perfect and an easy 10-15 minute walk. The wait staff were extremely friendly.

Fantastic hotel, friendly helpful staff. Lovely bar and great restaurant. Lots of lovely spots to sit and relax. The terrace area is beautiful. Outdoor warm pool area and the petting farm - now dinosaur section outside is extra special!

  • 4/5 Dylan Mac M. 2 years ago on Google
Very nice hotel. Staff were excellent. Lots of things to do for kids and little touches like the milk and cookies for kids in the evening were very popular. Only complaint I would have is the room was particularly small for a family of 2 adults and 2 kids. The camp bed felt really squeezed in alongside the double and single bed.

The single best hotel in kilkenny for families, really child friendly and amazing rooms. The staff are so attentive. Great walks around the grounds seeing the fairy houses. Nice farm on site and playground. The rooms are fantastic and the food, that lamb shank is one the best things I have ever eaten.

We stayed here recently with kids & it was very well catered for them, along with alot of couples relaxing around the hotel without kids. Food is good, staff are great & room are really lovely comfortable & clean. They have a nice swimming pool with a small outdoor pool. A great little farm for kids which is in along with the dinosaur experience. Lovely little fairy trail & some go carts for the kids. We really enjoyed our stay & will be recommending. Only a 5minute drive into the city.

What a wonderful hotel. Beautifully appointed. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. The food served at the restaurant was more than five star. The rooms were large and the beds soooo comfortable. I could have spent my whole vacation there!!! Our entire tour group felt that way.

Recently, stayed here and it was a great experience. The first thing you notice is how friendly the staff are and it's very obvious they go out of their way to help you with everything. The food is great, lovely pool, sauna, and jacuzzi out back by the spa. Very welcoming place, and I really enjoyed my stay here. Highly recommend a stay here.

Really nice family friendly hotel. We had a lovely weekend away here with our children. The dinosaur Park, petfarm and fairy walk are such a nice bonus. The kids were very impressed. The family room is very spacious and super clean and comfortable. The swimming pool was quite cold and much too deep for small children! Staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is lovely but a bit pricey even for the bar food menu. But the menu and children's menu have a lot of variety. Would definitely return and recommend. A really lovely hotel for families with small children

Rooms were big, comfortable, and quiet. Food was delicious (we ate at the "pub" at night and had breakfast there). Outdoor kids amenities were incredible! I only wish they'd offered the kids club during the week so we could make use of their adult spa amenities! Our kids loved the Jurassic park.

The manager was extremely rude to the kids clubs staff. I could hear her giving out relentlessly to the staff who had been working all night. It was uncomfortable to hear as I did not trust her to be around my children. The younger staff were lovely and more than accommodating, however I would not use this hotel as it seems senior management are unable to work with children.

Excellent all round especially the staff. Facilities plentiful and varied. Accommodation very high quality. One point to make is that the catering staff loose the household frying pan and obtain a good standard frying hot plate so as that when you are looking a fr

Spent 3 nights here over new year with 4 kids ranging from 12 down to 3. Pool was absolutely freezing. Kids couldn't stay in for more than 15 minutes. Changing room floors dirty and awash with water. Bed sheets washed to death, felt bally and not crisp and clean as I'd expect from a four star hotel. The Bar is more of a bistro restaurant really. Everyone was eating there so no seats to just sit and have a drink. Instead they tell everyone to sit in the foyer which is basically a creche. The new-year eve entertainment consisted of a guy playing in the foyer inside the door. Huge weddings everyday and some of the hotel facilities closed off as a result. All in all very overpriced and very disappointing. Would not recommend

Spent Christmas here and it was a magical experience! The staff were all amazing and lovely and the food was excellent and abundant haha. We had a hot tub on the balcony in our room which was INCREDIBLE!! We didn't want to leave but will absolutely be back again!!

Newpark Hotel was The T.P… The Total Package! 2 people staying there for 1 night, a delicious 3 course dinner included, a hearty breakfast, all the swimming facilities included (the infinity pool was amazing), and an excellent deep back, arm and shoulder massage from Anna for €290! Extremely accommodating, I had forgotten my hotel voucher and they assured me I could call the manager and Dara helped me get a refund back in a very timely manner. All in all, an excellent stay with fantastic service and facilities. The best!

Stayed here with my mother and pregnant sister. Very family orientated hotel due to the park behind the hotel. It's located easy access to city and major national roads. The pool facilities are excellent I must say probably the reason to come stay here ..outside infinity pool , plunge pool, steam room, sauna , jacuzzi.excellent worth a stay due to the facilities. (Book early to avoid too many families) The bar food is overpriced however (I wouldn't recommend booking there small portions for price range) we had a nicer meal in the city and cheaper the following night .. Steak was very small for price. * Hotels should try make there food more appealing so people will dine and eat here Staff are friendly and receptionist helpful when our key cards wouldn't work and came up and sorted them for us . Again breakfast is horrible .buffet style .I think hotels are having a lot of waste and should consider order up style. .don't recommend eating at all go into city and order breakfast.. Rooms are lovely however neat and tidy. Very little road noise which is a plus . comfortable beds. Very much a family hotel lots of kids around . .but no harm if you want Peaceful night.

We were here for 4 days a few weeks ago for a family break. The rooms were fine if a little dated and were very clean although there was a slight musty smell, but it went once we were using the room. Our included meals were good and the kids menu was excellent. All in all the hotel was pretty good. Staff were okay if maybe a bit rushed but I'm sure it was busy for them. We enjoyed the stay and I would recommend for anyone visiting Kilkenny. The Dinosaur Park was great for the two kids!! I would say this hotel is very nice but for the price it could have been better.

The Good= The wedding day itself was perfect and shows this hotel does have a lot of potential to be good at weddings. The lady that oversaw the dinner on the night was nothing short of excellent really professional and everything went like clockwork from start to finish, the food was superb and all the staff from the servers to the barmen were 5 stars so well done on this. The Bad= We had an original wedding date with this venue and an agreed price unfortunately due to a personal issue we had to postpone to a later date. The Newpark said no problem great right but on the condition we paid extra per head a bit unfair due to an unseen personal issue not very customer friendly or any empathy shown but any who we just had to sacrifice aspects of our meal to be able to bring down the cost to an affordable level. This was bad enough but the reason for the price increase in the Newparks words was rising costs like electricity and staff wages ect this was said about ten times why would any customer want to hear this not only unprofessional but I certainly didn't want to hear this and frankly didn't care about any of this on the lead up to my wedding coupled with the fact I have these cost in my own personal household but what really took the biscuit was for an apparently struggling business we kept getting emails saying to come up and see the new ballroom that was recently refurbished now granted when I did see it on the night it looked the exact same as two years ago but how did a seemingly struggling business afford referenced refurbishment. So fast forward to the day before the wedding we had to drop up a few bits and pieces first time I met the wedding coordinator in person there was definitely a somewhat awkward atmosphere I tried my best to be normal but at the end of the meeting the wedding coordinator spilt water all over me now I cant say for sure if this was due to clumsiness or there was some intent in it for the problems with the lead up. She finished by saying she has a day off and wont be at the wedding which I was quiet happy about and she would see us Friday morning this was the last time I ever saw this woman and hopefully ever will. Wedding day great 5 stars day after wedding day awful horrendous I thought the first lady was unprofessional but she was nothing compare to who I was about to encounter. I honestly cant say I ever had as bad service in all my life. I was checking out in quiet a rush as I was busy instead I was told to sit down by a rude staff member and that the manager wanted to talk me. I had to also ask said staff member three times for my wedding cake which was in reaching distance behind her I don't know did she expect to keep it. I sat down as ordered like a scolded school boy totally humiliated and red faced in a crowded hotel. As I said I was busy the manager took ten minutes to come I was at the end of my tether at this stage but wanted to keep my composure for my wifes sake. The manager took us into the bar where there was another wedding party there tried to charge me for 110euro I already paid and talked sarcastically in a total humiliatingly manner I had to prove to her I had paid this by showing her my bank account I had already told the wedding coordinator the day before I had transferred this, lack of communication or just trying to cheat me out of 110 euro I don't know but never got an apology regardless DISGUSTING SERVICE. Suggestions: I worked as a relationship manager for three years for a multinational company before I transitioned to the education sector. - Never experienced such horrendous service the wedding team and middle management need to go to some training or contemplate are they in the right industry. - Please don't tell customers about your financial issues it just looks bad and we don't care -Don't demand 110euro from a bride and groom the day after their wedding that has already been paid this is not only robbery but plain disrespectful.

Did we get scammed? The website for Newpark is very deceiving. We thought we were staying at a quaint hotel in Kilkenny, but arrived to a 90's architecture monstrosity. The old part of the building shown on the website is hidden away in the back. The were doing renovations during our stay and because of that we had to drag our suitcases up and down 2 separate flights of stairs and numerous confusing corridors. Our room was practically a mile away from the front desk. The room was dated and looked nothing like any of the website photos. It was dark, no AC so it was stuffy, and there was mold/water damage on the outside of the shower. The room looked like it had been haphazardly thrown together. The TV was just sitting on the desk in front of a mirror and all of the appliances were old. Again, NOTHING like the website photos. We didn't even bother with the restaurants so I can't comment on those. Bottom line, I would never stay here again and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else either.

Really lovely hotel ,didn't stay there, but went to Dinosaur Park. So used the public convenience which were clean and fresh smelling. The entrance and inside was very clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of car parking and the children had great fun in the park. The food was fresh and delicious 😋

The Newpark Hotel in Kilkenny exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service. The hotel's elegant decor and immaculate rooms provided a luxurious and comfortable stay. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every need was met, making me feel truly pampered. The on-site amenities, including the beautiful spa and pool, added to the overall indulgent experience. The Newpark Hotel is the perfect blend of elegance, comfort, and exceptional service, making it a top choice for anyone visiting Kilkenny. Highly recommended!
