Update... lowered to one star since the response blames everyone else. If you have to address an issue "many times" you got a problem you need to take ownership of... Blaming my old ears is ridiculous. I wish I could give more stars. Saw a great show. The staff was excellent. The venue was great. However getting there early and being at center stage up front was a big mistake. The sound was absolutely terrible. Nothing but bass. Could barely hear the vocals, guitars, etc. If you move back towards the bar it was much better. I will go back, but I'm seriously disappointed I didn't get to hear the performance. Being close to the performance for visuals was great, but not worth the loss of sound. Please fix that issue and I will be back as often as possible.

My absolute favorite place to see a show in Columbus. Great venue, clean, attentive bar staff, bands sound great and reasonable drink prices. I've seen two sold out shows there and it didn't feel crowded at all.

Saw a live concert. Plenty of standing room to see the concert. Drink prices are surprisingly reasonable. Outdoor standing area available. Plenty of parking at the venue.

The King of Clubs is definitely my new favorite venue! The place was incredible for a Rock n Roll bar. The service was amazing, the sound could use some work though, maybe just turn it down a notch. Cool place and I'll be back again!

Best venue in Columbus! Best host! Best staff! Draws HUGE crowds! Lots of choices for entertainment! BIG NATIONAL ACTS!! Awesome food. Drinks are very inexpensive! Tons of VIP seating, plenty of room to move and rock out near the stage!

We went here for Thomas Mac on our birthday (myself and my daughter), along with my other daughter and my husband. We had a balcony table. The club is excellent, terrific view of the stage, decent service, great sound! Nice that it wasn't too crowded. We will be back in the future. One tip though, if you order a drink they will make it a double unless you specify single. Also, the wait for food took a really long time. So be prepared to wait for it if you're hungry.

Great venue for an up close and personal show. Not a bad viewing spot in the place. All of the staff are very professional and super helpful. The only downside is the admission process - but considering the fact you're not paying Ticketmaster fees, that makes it worth the wait.

Great experience at the Purple Kiss show. Friendly staff and helpful with answers instead of the usual grunting out a word or two at most other venues. Reasonable drink prices, plenty of room to maneuver, nice patio, ample parking, other concertgoers being decent human beings, all led to a very enjoyable experience.

One of the best concert venues I have ever been to. Not because of the location or the sound, but because of the heart and soul that everyone that works there. I have never seen a team work togther like this in a customer service setting. The table in the balcony we got had a great view and amazing table service. I wish this place was closer and that more venues emulated the customer service of the King of Club.

I attended the We Came as Romans concert with my sister in law, her husband, and their friends last evening and wanted to post my thoughts on the venue as a first time visitor. When I first bought the tickets I knew nothing about the place, just that it was pretty new and that it had some pretty big acts in the past according to their testimonial page like Donnie Baker, Black Label Society, and as of last night We Came as Romans. When pulling up is in kind of in this empty park looking place, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing as it has a lot of parking available so you don’t have to worry about paying for parking. The doors opened at 6:00 P.M. but we didn’t get in there until about 6:45 A.M. The entry process will have them empty anything from your pockets and wand you, then you go up to one of the two ticket booths and have them scan your tickets before having them ask for your Id so you can get this wristband that indicates you are over 21 and can buy alcohol as this is not just a 21 and over place. I saw a few children and teenagers here as well also able to enjoy the show. Once inside I was impressed by just how large the place was, they have two bars: one on the top level and one on the bottom where you could get your drink orders. Personally I don’t drink but those I went with did drink and they were very pleased with their drinks. Also through the night they had these drink specials like the 2 for $5 shots of things like Jim Bean between sets which is quite a good deal. I did not order any food but they also have a kitchen there as well that serves all sorts of food like pizza, chicken, and I believe I even saw mozzarella sticks one time so even eating at this venue rather than before is a viable option as that was also very reasonably priced as well. During the concerts themselves I was worried about them getting too rowdy but they had a no crowdsurfing rule here which was actually enforced quite strictly. I only saw two crowd-surfers the whole night which is amazing considering the less acts are pretty heavy on nature. There was moshing of course but the place was big enough that you could have some breathing room if needed. You could be as far away or as close to the stage as you wanted. The patrons and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. After that, I had to go to the bathroom and they are very clean and lots of urinals/stalls for guests to use. In the three times I went I only had to wait in a line once for two minutes and that was between acts. During the time there I only saw a few patrons spill their drinks and get the floor sticky but that isn’t really a criticism of the venue itself but just something to be aware of as it can make that floor pretty slippery so just be careful. In conclusion, this is a well taken care of venue where the love and passion of the business really shows in every aspect of the concert experience. I would be happy to return here one day with my friends and family again sometime. I would highly recommend this venue. Gets an A+ rating from me. Thank you King of Clubs for a wonderful evening.

Great venue, love the large open door to access the outside patio. Stage is a little high for me makes the performancers seem a little far away. Pricing on alcohol is great as well.

I recommend everyone to go here. I love this place my dad and I are very good buddies with Ricky, Angie, and the rest of the staff. Ricky only has the best people work for him. They are so amazing it's like a big family. The alcohol choices are great and definitely can't beat the $5 pounder! The deals he does on liquor are awesome! My friends and family have seen many shows from here and they are the best!

The King of Clubs is my favorite venue. Period. I've been to (and photographed) a ton of shows here, ranging from Halocene, Corey Feldman, and Coop's Nightmare to Mushroomhead, We Came as Romans, and Powerman5000. The ticket prices stay low so it's accessible by anyone and everyone, the drink and food prices are great (and run specials all night every night), the venue is insanely clean, and the staff is amazing!! They often sell out shows, but even at a sold-out show, you don't feel cramped or pushed around. It gets packed, but not uncomfortably so. As someone rapidly getting older, it's nice to not have to be the "wall" for folks with me to prevent them from being smushed.

King of Clubs is near some colorful apartments & a dry fountain at the architecturally (& functionally) idealistic "village" & shopping center (turn "Ghost of Columbus Past"): The Continent. Weird location but good place. Service was a bit slow but the event being sold out, I expect that to be par for the course. Otherwise, the staff was very friendly and the general atmosphere convivial. The set up inside is unlike any other local venue of its'size, featuring balcony and floor seating (there were tables set up, which were reserved at purchase). I attended Hellzapoppin Circus Sideshow; presumably, they ditch the tables for live bands, though this was my 1st & only visit. Clearly I don't know from experience but it's only logical to expect the floor to accommodate dancing & standing for live music events. Idk if it was the performers' or the venue's responsibility to make proper use of the many TV screens lining the edge of the balcony floor, but KoC would be wise to employ their own camera & operator to maximize the potential of these screens. The performers did make a go of it, but succeeded only 1/3 of the time in providing a good close-up of the action. Most of the time, it seemed that they didn't know there was a camera. It didn't detract but a good camera operator would've taken the whole effort up a few notches. This venue does seem to get an interesting & eclectic variety of acts, from what I've seen in ads. It's reasonable to assume that I'll have good reason to visit again in future.

I took my wife and son to The KING of CLUBS last night to see Willie Phoenix and a Led Zeppelin experience from Chicago called Kashmir. My wife is in a wheelchair. We were seated at a table on the floor with plenty of room for her wheelchair. Floor tables are not available for all shows, so we were glad to have picked this show. The venue was clean when we arrived at 7, and the entrance was easily accessible by a large concrete ramp. Parking spaces are numerous, so we did not have far to go, even though we had to find a handicapped space. The door and ticket window staff were very polite, and there was even a staff member ready to show us to our table. Table service from 7 to 11pm was a huge benefit. Although the server was busy with many other guests, we were well taken care of. The drink prices were very reasonable, at least 40% less than you'd pay at another large music venue. The food here really impressed me. For a music venue this large to have some good food at great prices is unusual. We ordered the grilled cheese sandwich with fries, an 8- inch pizza, chicken tenders, and jalapeño poppers. Everything was delivered fresh and hot. Great value for the prices. The sound was fine during the performances, and not too loud except when it needed to be. 😊The main floor bathrooms were very handicapped accessible and we were pleased with the size of the stall. Outside patio is nice with tables and umbrellas, and was not difficult to navigate with a wheelchair. Smoking and vaping is not allowed inside at all, so it was nice not to have people blowing clouds around you. Overall, we had a really great experience. The bands were FANTASTIC, and I would definitely see them both again. But, more importantly, I would return to this venue. The staff and owners were very accommodating. I feel negative experiences could be had here if you seek them out or have the wrong attitude, but they have to prepare for that as well. Be nice and you'll have a good time. Thanks for a really fun evening!

Loved the place & set up. The only reason why I didn't give it a 5 ⭐ is because there was no place to sit on lower floor. Great bands that night even tho they were small national bands.

I went to see a friend of mines band open the show for Yngwie Malmsteen, and I was incredibly impressed with the venue. The staff was super friendly, size and flow were good, and the sound was absolutely perfect!! Reasonably priced food and drinks. Just an all around great place!! I'd go again without hesitation.

Went with my wife and 9 year old daughter to an all metal concert (RED, Saul, Yesterday's Hero, and Illusions). We all had a great time. We had a table on the upper floor, but also went down to the main floor and banged our heads during much of RED's performance! The food was great. The drinks were reasonably priced AND strong. The service was great. Every single person on the staff was great. Multiple staff members made my daughter feel welcomed, even at a metal concert. I cannot overstate how kind everyone was, and would love to call them out on here If I knew their names. All the bands were great and sounded great. It was very loud, but that is what you want in a metal concert. We came for RED but discovered new bands to love (Saul's bassist actually handed my daughter a Saul pick after they tore up the place!!). We will be coming back. Highly recommend!

Had a great time last night. This club is doing it the right way. Great staff, bartenders, sound, and restrooms. Prices were great, drinks were great, bands rocked! Shout out to Malevolent Creation and new locals Icona Vera, both tore up the stage! I will be back!

great time havent been to this establishment since the early 2000's. was a different bar then. had a great time with a 90's dance party band. wife and friends got taosted and the bar tender was friendly and very attentive. as my pics show my wife and her friend wound up in the fountain at the end of the night on the way out lol. thanks for a great time for some reason i could not reply to your reply lol. but after a 2nd visit to you establishment i would give a 5 star review if it was as good as our first visit. i usually dont leave 5 stars on first visits unless its a place i dont live near and may not visit again or it was just that phenomenally good. but i hope to come back and check it out again. thanks

One of the best rock venues I have ever been to. The stage is raised so that you can see wherever you are. Drink specials were announced all night long. Every Staff member I encountered was very professional and hospitable. They definitely loved their jobs. This says a lot about the ownership and management. In today's world that is a lost art. Oh and by the way, they constantly book the best rock bands in the world.

My husband and I rang in the new year at the King of Clubs. Best night we had in a long time. Our waitress was the best! Very sweet, very attentive. I apologize for not remembering her name but we were at table 6. Great food! Great staff! They all made us feel very welcome. Hot Blooded and E5c4p3 both did fantastic shows!

Been to quite a few venues in ohio/northern Indiana and this one was top notch! Strong drinks for the fair price, great atmosphere & staff. Parking was free, big lot, easy to get in and out. We went to a sold out show and it certainly didn't feel like we were all squished in there, still plenty of room. I love that they stress being kind to fellow concert goers, it made for a good atmosphere and from what I saw there were no issues amongst people. Didn't feel like we were waiting forever for the show to start after doors opened, or between acts. I can't wait to come back! Great work TKOC staff!

We saw The Amity Affliction, and it is the perfect venue. I hate huge shows and this was perfect even in the back you could see really well onstage. The staff is really friendly, I lost my phone in the mosh pit and someone turned it in at the end of the show my phone was fine 🀘
