Built by Syarief Abdurrahman from Baghdad Iraq in around 1480s , Syarief Abdurrahman who known in Cirebon as Pangeran Panjunan build the mosque as shalat place because of the many Muslim lives on Panjunan area and the masjid Agung Sang Cipta Rasa (sultanates Mosque) distances quietly. . So, he build this place to accommodate and to easy Muslim to shalat . The Panjunan mosque kept his structure and authenticity till now

A heritage mosque that established in 1480 by Pangeran Panjunan. It is one of the oldest mosque in Indonesia. The architecture of this red mosque is the combination of Hindu, Chinese, and Islamic culture. Although this mosque is relatively small, just 40 square metres, but it has long epic history. It became the instrumental of Cirebon's Islamization. If you like heritage sites you have to visit this mosque while you are in Cirebon. The location is in Panjunan village, not far from the city centre of Cirebon. Just click your Gojek or Grab apps, the driver is ready to transfer you in just some minutes!

This is a mosque that have red colour. It is placed in arabian tycoon residence. It is very famous, unique, and hisrorical. However, parking is limited for cars ya so you have to visit by motorcycle or padicabe.

The thing taking it up one star is the guides there ... Kind and informative. Nice architecture and a few surprises. But some of the surroundings drag it down .. I really do not wanna look at a load of waste .. it was not nice .. seal it off and I'll give you 5 stars ..

Really quiet, peaceful masjid (mosque). It’s small but well worth a visit while in cirebon. It’s away from all the hustle and bustle. Serene and truly historic masjid. Well worth visiting. Also a mix of Hindu style integrated into the overall design.

A heritage building from year 1480. It is beautiful and in very good condition. If you come in Ramadhan and participate in shalat Tarawih, they will serve you their signature ginger coffee (they said it is only served once a year). The locals there were friendly at first, however they will ask you to give them some money. A bit annoying.

This mosque is a mix of Arabian and Chinese architecture with red painting all over the building. That's how it known as Red Mosque. Worth to visit if you come to Cirebon. But unfortunatelly there're some people trying to take advantage, scammers who ask you some money after you take a walk in.

One of the first attempts in the transformation of the pendhapa into a gathering space for Muslims in Java.
