Great place for kids and families to visit. Lots of shallow places but there are friendly fish. 🐟

Beautiful park with a high quality swimming beach attached. During the summer season there are lifeguards, multiple swimming platforms, and a large floating swimming dock about 100 feet from shore. This park also boasts many picnic tables, grills, a concessions stand, fishing dock, and public restrooms. Staff are friendly, if a little shy.

This is such a big place. I live the way it feels like I have left the busy suburbs and gone to the country. Great beach, definitely check it out.

1st time there today with my daughter,,ive been to alot of beaches in the metro area,this one is by far one of the nicest and cleanest beaches I've been to,,highly recommend,

Normally not too crowded. On the weekends in the summer they have lifeguards and bathrooms open (not just portapotties), plus a few other amenities like covered picnic tables. Watch out though, some people are surprised that there is a parking charge on the nice summer days.

I got bit by a fish! I was swimming and felt something hit me hard and it stung, then I noticed a bite mark on my on my torso. Then I saw a school of small fish in the swimming area, and another woman got bit too…. Besides getting attacked by schools of small fish, the water is clear, it is very inviting looking to swim! A big sand beach and playground for kids. I wish those fish were not so hungry.

We went on a walk here and it was very frustrating because the path doesn’t go all the way around the lake. It just stops after maybe half a mile. Several lakefront areas are private property, which reflects poor city and park planning. Additionally the paths were poorly maintained and treacherous in early winter.

I'm new to Bloomington since Feb 2020 and my bff wanted to go to a beach near me....she googled bush lake...I never even knew it was there. 10mins from my home. I gotta say I don't swim so I stay away from beaches..lakes..etc. I Loved it! It was so nice a nice group of people enjoying the water. I even got in. Go check it out!

As a cyclist I try to use the trails in my commute to work as much as possible! I love the trail network! The deer are friendly too. Haha!

There's nice fish there, but also some kind of water bug that leaves a unpleasant reminder lol
