Love pizza here. The best part is their green sauce it is very flavorful and is charged extra. They offer only one type of pizza on a given day which changes everyday and all options are vegetarian only. We usually check menu and then come. They have vegan options and salads too. They usually have big line for ordering but it moves fast. You usually get two slices free when you order a pie and one slice free when you a half pie. We usually travel about 40 miles one way to come here because it’s our favorite place 😍🍕

My favorite pizza place in the entire Bay Area or maybe in the entire world. How is that possible… just one type of pizza everyday… that too vegetarian only. That is impossible to explain mile long lines, and all those people buying boxes after boxes of pizzas. I guess you just have to experience it. I have been a customer since last 8 years or so. And even though I don’t live in Berkeley… I find myself traveling 40 miles to get their pizza and that beloved green sauce. Maybe the green sauce is the magic. Or the extra small slice when you order a whole pie. The love and care not just shows in the pizza crust… the choice of cheese or topping combinations but the way they treat their customers and also their employees. The quality of everything is phenomenal. Keep it up folks… open a sister location in Pleasanton if you can :)

Very unique pizza place. Just one speciality pizza everyday. There are long ques when we went and it took 50 min to reach counter. I wish they take online order. Pizza is delicious. Green sauce is tasty and must try. There is place to sit outside.

Our Ethiopian friend LOVES this place so much. Whenever he comes to visit Berkeley, he has to come to this place. I live here in Berkeley, whenever I drive through this place, I give up! Tonight our friend who is a runner in Ethiopia invited us...Com'on...Let's walk and eat pizza. Holy Jesus! It is one of the best pizza I have ever had! The basil sauce (the green sauce) hits me right back to my childhood. It is basically Thai seafood sauce that we eat back home! Same exactly taste and balance, the lime juice and basil.....dip in with pizza! How genius is this? I am glad I wait in the line for an half hour. (There were about 50 people in front of us.) They are so quick! Only ONE pizza menu a day! How smart is this! They open only Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. or until runs out. Be sure to be there early because of the long line. Always the long line, but they move quickly.. Restroom is available. Parklet is a nice size. If you are vegetarian, this is your place!

Easily one of the best pizzas that I have tasted… period!!!. Need to say anymore 😬. This pizzeria is located in Berkeley. I went on a Saturday evening. They are open from 5 pm - 8pm / until pizzas are over ( whichever is earlier). They only make one kind of pizza everyday. They are all vegetarian with vegan and gluten free options. For the vegetarian ones we can order by slice or half a pizza or a full one. I ordered a half pizza. They also have a dynamite tasting green spicy sauce which is a must buy on the side. I think the green sauce has serrano chillies, green onion garlic ( I think.. not sure). They publish the menu for the whole week at a time in their website. I went there 20 minutes in advance and so had a reasonable long queue in front of me. In the time I was standing in the queue there were around 50-75 people who came and stood behind me. So BE PREPARED to wait in line if you come after 5 pm. There is no space inside to eat. There are a few benches and tables outside for eating. The pizza crust is very then and crispy. The day I went, they made the mushroom and chippelini onion pizza with garlic mozzarella Parmesan and green pesto. I also got the green spicy sauce to go. The portion size is filling for one easily if you get a half pizza. I will definitely come here again for sure.

Excellent pizza, Berkeley staple. Usually a line to get it but it moves quickly so the wait is not bad at all. They serve only one type of pizza each day, always vegetarian friendly. Limited Outdoor sitting available.

Great place for pizza lovers, especially cheese pizza lovers like me. Flavors blended well together and the crust was delicious. If you like pesto and spicy, then you have to get a side of their spicy pesto sauce. Love the simplicity of the menu, but wish there was at least two specialty pizzas available daily. They also have a vegan pizza option available which works out great because I have a daughter with dairy allergies 👍🏼. Will definitely come back.

Holy Buck this place it lit. I've been here so many times and it's crazy good. After baking the pizza they put it on a huge flatiron and the bottom gets so crispy and the cheesey is ooey gooey and the toppings r always so well done. I would recommend always - check their online website before coming tho, hours r obscure and they have limited offerings due to covid at the moment.

The best pizza. Period. You can check online what the pizza of the day will be. The line is worth the wait and moves quickly. If you like a little spice, get the green sauce. Everything is so fresh and you can taste it. Such an amazing co-op initiative that makes it even easier to enjoy your delicious meal! You can also get half-baked pizza to take home if you prefer to sit more comfortably and inside. Gluten-free options are available, just let them know before waiting in line. Enjoy! 🍕

AMAZING pizza!!! (⁎⁍̴̛ᴗ⁍̴̛⁎)❤️🤍💚 There’s always a super long line for this pizza shop even before they start every day, and you could tell why the moment you bite the pizza! High-quality cheese and fresh ingredients without letting you feel greasy but still super yummy! They only sale one flavor each day and they’re all vegetarian (years, I personally don't like meat on the pizza). The crust is thin and crispy as well! You cannot do reservation and better arrive earlier before the line start to get crazy (yes, it literally wrap around the edge of the corner street). Also, they have live music which is also very awesome🎷 🎻 🎶 You probably cannot eat Costco or chan shop pizza after this since you'd know what a legit pizza should tastes like 😆🍕 Don't say you've been to Berkeley city without knowing this pizza shop!

Super cool and unique pizza place! Love that they include the extra slivers with each pizza. The ambiance is very good in general too, with live jazz and outdoor seating and standing room. The particular flavor they were serving this day was also very cool; I liked the potatoes on top. Tasted good upon reheat too!

I’m not a vegetarian so I was skeptical about coming here, but with so many positive reviews how can you not give it a shot. I ended up coming 2 days in a row. The pizza is really good, IMHO, it’s more like fancy focaccia cheese bread with light toppings. No matter what toppings they list for the pizza, it’s just a small amount of those toppings. So even if the pizza for the day doesn’t sound like something you’d like, give it a shot because you actually won’t taste much of the toppings. That’s kind of good in this case since some of the toppings are not things I’d typically put on a pizza. The green cilantro and garlic sauce you see people getting is called Green Hot Sauce and has a kick to it since it’s made with Serrano peppers. Try it. I like it but the kick was unexpected because I didn’t know the name of the sauce. The line moves pretty quickly since only one type of pizza is made each day.

So my first thoughts were, “Wait a minute – there’s only one pizza flavor? I don’t get to pick what kind I want? OK, let’s do this with an open mind.” The pizza of the day was organic peach, mozzarella, Dunbarton blue cheese, arugula, and lemon vinaigrette. We ordered one vegetarian and one weekend. Had there been other pies to choose from, I highly doubt that I would have selected this one. I was NOT disappointed. Both were amazing! I cannot wait to come back to Cheese Board the next time I’m in Berkeley.

This place is the most review pizza place in usa. They have just one topping each day (vegeterian) and change it everyday. The dipping sauce was so flavorful. That's make me eat a slice pizza more and more. One thing is the bread was pretty hard for me, it was not crispy or soft and hard to chew.

Good, but not great pizza like Naples style. But the crust was good in its own way and the ingredients tasted fresh. The salad tasted straight out of the garden. The ginger cookies were amazing. Big portions, good quality, long line but it moves fast because there's only one choice of pizza, either whole (large) $22 or half $11. Good deal, nice, efficient service.

This is my favorite pizza in the east bay. The menu is always vegetarian. They make one type of pizza a day. I've never had a bad pizza from this place. There is usually a long line on the weekends. It's also nice to know that this place is worker owned. They sell pizza by the slice or half or a whole pizza. They sell half cooked pizzas.

One of the best places in the Bay area. Excellent live music only bested by the excellence of the pizza. I miss sitting outside with a beer and a slice watching the people pass by. A nice escape from the stress of student life.

Great pizza! There is one flavor for the day, always hot and quick! Can grab and sit inside or there is seating outside as well. Be sure to add the green sauce if you like a little spice! Very flavorful, so good! Had local music when I visited!

Yesterday, we visited Cheeseboard so that my nephew could experience their pizza. Although we reside in the South Bay, we were in the area for an event. The line moved swiftly and efficiently, and the cashier provided excellent and friendly service with a smile. Opting for the full pizza of their daily offering, the cremini mushroom with onions, garlic, and parsley toppings, we found the pizza to be of exceptional quality, with my nephew declaring it as possibly the best he's ever had. While the crust didn't stand out, the toppings created a perfect blend, delivering a delicious combination. He's already eager to return. Alongside the pizza, we ordered a salad and some drinks. After enjoying our pizza, we ventured next door for scones, cookies, and bread, all of which were excellent. Although there is no parking lot, street parking by meter on adjacent streets is available.

Finally tried out the pizza here and it definitely lives up to all the hype! The roasted Yukon potato, broccoli with lemon green onion cream sauce topped with parsley and lemon zest was absolutely delicious! While the crust didn’t stand out, the toppings and the pizza itself was delicious! The menu has 1 pizza (it’s a vegetarian pizza) and a salad. There is a line that goes a bit around the corner but is fast moving! They are constantly making pizzas so you get your order immediately. They have indoor and outdoor seating for you to enjoy your pizza!

Fresh, inventive, and incredibly delicious! Pizza done right and you definitely won’t miss the meat, trust me. There’s a reason folks line up around the corner each evening for the daily vegetarian pie offering. On the day I visited, the pizza of the day was And the pizza of the day was Roasted Yukon Gold potato, onion, mozzarella, toasted garlic Parmesan, garlic olive oil, oregano, parsley. Best of all, the farm fresh toppings all sit atop what is perhaps the best pizza crust I’ve ever tasted. Just go there, strike up a conversation or two while you wait, then savor your pizza reward.

This place is great, I love how they only do 1 pizza a day. There was a bit of a line that went around the corner at 4:50pm on a Thursday (10 mins before they opened), but once they were open the line moved quick. They are constantly making the pizzas so once you order you receive it immediately. It was lovely they had live music as well. Will definitely be back!

The pizza decent, but the best part is next-door the French bread is to die for! Berkeley style people it's also nice when people line up where they make the pizza it's sort of a fashion show no hate everybody smiling laughing giggling! And as I said earlier the pizzas decent they have maybe three kinds for Max they serve one time only on different days! They also have live music a 3-piece band with one person singing old school real nice the atmosphere little cozy but once again everybody's happy nobody brings their problems are nobody has anything to complain about what's in the media or on the Internet you don't see people looking at their phones! Got a place you can actually have a conversation you must speak up don't forget the band where can you get pizza live music and actually have a conversation in this day and age cheeseboard that's where! The king of North Beach!
