Just picked up my lunch from there and it looks like the pandemic is taking its tole on their freshness. My roll had browning avocado and visibly old lemon slices on it with half the salmon it usually has. The ginger was dry with almost yellow edging and the roll fell apart before I could pull it away from the plate. This is usually my favorite spot for sushi but I will probably be taking a break from here for a while. Whoever put together my role should have recognized that these ingredients are innappropriate to serve and sell.

This is one of the best sushi places in Sacramento hands down. I always get the yummy roll oh, my husband gets the kamikaze. I would say this place is equal to if not better than Mikuni's. I do not go to Citrus Heights without hitting Sushimono. This is the yummy roll.

This is our favorite place for sushi. Affordable and amazing. They have a great celery wrapped roll. But our favorite is the spicy crispy.

Get multiple orders through doordash and it's gotten worse. But since we went through doordash they can't "help". Not only have to have soggy sushi but spicy chicken swimming in the spilled miss soup. Oh and the dasher just left it even though you can see the leaking food.

This place used to be my go to. But I’d rather get some rolls from Raley’s or Safeway. Way too much rice on their specialty rolls so it’s basically all rice, very little seafood. And the winding dragon had very sad slices of fish on top of the roll(the roll on the left) This place used to have wonderful sushi, and now it’s just sad. Plus when I picked up the food the interior of the restaurant smelled really weird, which is probably why everyone eating in was seated outside. I seriously believe that none of their chefs have ever truly learned how to make sushi

Been coming here a while, service is great but my rolls are tasting a little overcooked lately, even the edamame seems overdone and miso soup is over seasoned. Not sure if they changed chefs or I keep getting the wrong chef lol. It's been great but I might take a little break from this spot.

Great place, awesome service, killer rolls. Spicy tuna hand roll was the business.

We were looking for a good place to have sake and sushi on a Friday night. Everyone else had 30+ minute wait times. This little hidden gem sat us within 5 minutes. We took some risks and ordered the "?" which is the Itamae's choice, and it was amazing. We ordered 3 rolls and I could not decide which I liked more. The other reviews are correct about the food, amazing. The ambiance is not great, but their food is.

I have been coming here for almost 10 years and food has always been amazing. Today I come here with my bestfriend from out of town and 2 times there was hair in our food!!! Unfortunately I didn’t get a picture of the hair in our tempura but I did get the second photo of the hair in our sushi. This is absolutely disgusting. Then they charge us for the nasty hairy tempura and only took off the 1 sushi roll. Honestly not coming back.

Delicious place I have been here maybe 20 times in the last 7 years. The prices are amazing especially at happy house which I think is after 6-7. But the sushi food is unbeatable. The atmosphere is amazing as well. I love coming here a real treat.

We always get takeout from here so I cannot attest to their dining service but their food is awesome. Always happy with my rolls and I think the price is fair for what you get. Go-to sushi place!

Literally the best sushi I’ve ever had. Most of the time I eat my sushi with soy sauce to add a little more flavor but at sushi mono there is no issue with lack of flavor, they have some of the best flavor combos I’ve ever had and their Garlic Salmon roll is absolutely delicious.

Service was outstanding. Server kept coming up asking if we're doing okay and if we would like anything else. Sushi rolls ordered here were California, lion king, happy, ninja. All rolls were decent, lion king and California were my favorite. Also ordered a miso soup which was probably the worst I've ever had. Tasted like water, soy sauce and miso paste. Had nothing else in it, no tofu, no seaweed, no onion. Is this how it's normally served here?

Placed an order at 6:40 pm. 2 rolls only! Was served at 7:18pm. Server did not even approach me once to explain why my food was taking so long to prepare. Go figure! Sushi rolls were 3 out of 5. Looks like they quickly put it together, since rolls have been falling apart.

Nice environment. Pleasant experience. Good food. Fast service. I feel the register is too close to front door, for safety reasons for the customer waiting for a pickup. Also, not safe for employees from an HR perspective. I'm an HR Manager. The register being so close can entice crime or a robbery. I thought about it the whole time eating with my family, we were also very close to the door. Overall, we will be back and loved the food!

Wow, didn't expect to love the sushi so much and be able to afford what felt like a lavish meal. We only ordered one roll at first but gobbled it right up so we got two more immediately. Everything was fresh and beautifully presented not to mention delicious. We had room for dessert and I'm so glad we got to have some tempura ice cream, it was great. At first it seemed like the service was a little haphazard because two different people kept coming over to ask us if we wanted anything else, but it just ended up feeling like we were very well taken care of. Can't wait to go back!

Awesome sushi rolls, everything was fresh. The atmosphere was a little dark and the seating areas were a bit dirty. The restaurant wasn't that busy when we came, but our waiter took way to long to bring us drinks and food. It was a little frustrating. I would come back again to give it another try though, since the food was great.

Great rolls, great price, happy hour ends at 7pm. The best seaweed salad I've had anywhere. Would gladly come back!

This is my first order at this restaurant. I was very upset when I opened the boxes. This is the most disgusting sushi I have ever eaten. The fish must be looked for through a microscope. There is a lot of rice and it is terribly tasty, like plasticine. There was no fish in half the roll at all. Safeway makes much better sushi. this is a waste of money. Just a void this place.

This used to be our favorite place to go but our last visit wasn't great. Service was not great and the sushi was not like it used to be. They changed the set up in the dining room and we sat in the "outside" patio area. It was not great and the table was sticky. I don't know I think we just need to find a new place.

This is my favorite sushi restaurant. Sooo very delicious! Very nice people here. I love to support small business. Or we won’t have any left, right… this restaurant is soooo good! Please come help it thrive! One taste and you’ll be a believer! Yum!
