I was in the hospital two days ago for lower stomach pain. It was a busy night, i was patient with the time. Once I was taken to the back and given an IV for my fluids, the nurse was not professional. The IV he inserted me was very painful and i told him, he then tells me," it's a hospital, everything is painful and then laughs at me. Then I had to wait for a CT scan. I was given benadryl, 25mg, for the contrast scan, but when he injected me, he pushed it too hard and caused me pain, he then laughs at me again. I then get a bad reaction to the Benadryl, i couldn't move my arms or legs, i couldn't talk, and it felt like my heart was going to explode. And all he did was laugh at me. Then another nurse arrived to take me got my CT scan and asked me to get up but I couldnt because of the Benadryl. She was really rude and kept asking me why I wasn't speaking and why I couldn't get, as she was watching me shake and slur my words. Nobody helped me l, i felt worse in the hospital than I did at home with my stomach pain. Nobody ever told me why the Benadryl did what it did to me and i wish there's a way i can report those who made me feel helpless

Horrible experience. The lady at the front Jenny gave horrible customer service. We were waiting for two hours and whenever we would go ask to see how much longer the Jenny did not care about the fact that I had a high fever I had chills kept throwing up and instead gave a really bad attitude and said she doesnโ€™t know how much longer and I can feel free to leave. That lady does not deserve to work in the medical field given the fact that you see someone really sick and instead of being understanding she took whatever she was going through out on me. She definitely hates her job and should not have the position she has.

I went to this emergency room after not being able to keep even water down for 48+ hours. I had horrible stomach pain and a migraine, I was very dehydrated. They gave me fluids and basically sent me on my way. Less than 48 hours later I returned in worse shape, absolutely unbearable pain. The woman at the intake desk was absolutely cruel to me, she was just horrible. I sat in the lobby for almost 6 hours, periodically checking in with her, then eventually begging her for help. I know my body and I knew I needed help fast. She persisted to accuse me of trying to get pain medicine...? She shamed me, 3 times, in a lobby full of people about how no nurse is going to come out and give me pain medicine. I never asked for pain medicine, not once. I did however BEG her to get me some help. Eventually someone took me back and they ran tests, and I had to be taken by ambulance to Fairfield for an emergency surgery. I was in unbelievable pain for almost 10 hours before having major surgery I was in no way prepared for. It was absolutely the worst experience I've ever had at any hospital. It's been about 6 weeks and I'm still so upset about how they treat people here. Im terrified to get sick again, I know that. I've never been treated so cruelly in my life, this woman should be ashamed of herself. She has absolutely ZERO compassion for other people.

Friday 7/1 I was in a minor boat accident. I do have chronic lower back pain and sat 7/2 I tested positive for Covid. The pain has been so severe I called the nurse and they advised me to go to the ER. When they brought me into the room and asked my pain level 1-10 and I answered that it was higher than 10 the nurse and assistant laughed. They treated me as if I was an addict and didn't offer an MRI. The nurse then stated that the doctor will advise to take Tylenol and motrin. I came due to severe pain and would've just gone to the store for over the counter medications if those were going to help. I feel like the truly weren't listening and being very unprofessional. Idk what has happened to patient care. I walked out before seeing the doctor. I didn't have the strength to argue. Very disappointing experience.

We had the worse experience tonight from the ER forcing us to rather go home and get self treatment than spending one more hour there. My husband was tested positive of Covid-19 using the home rapid test 14 days ago, he was getting better until about 3 days ago, today he was lethargic, running a 102 fever and feeling really weak. We called the ambulance so that he can get a proper medical assessment and thought he will get a better care at the hospital. X-ray tech, nurses came to get some blood work, complete metabolic panel, ABG etc. As soon as the nurses found out he was tested positive, they completely abandoned us. Every time I ask for help at the front desk, they'd come and shut the door loudly!! One nurse said demandingly "closed the door! You guys are Covid patient". I get that this virus is contagious and we don't want to get other people sick either but we came to the hospital to seek for care and compassion not to be treated like we are a pest.

I am giving 4 stars because of this.... I went to the E.R. because of an extremely high fever and flank pain. I had a 102.6 when triage first took my initial vitals, very high and speratic heart beat and my blood pressure was pretty high. (I thought I was dying) but I also thought that a fever that high alone, would get the ball rolling to a little faster treatment.... I felt like I was judged or overlooked ... I know I'm not a queen and I do believe in the whole first come first serve, but I literally felt like I was sent back out to wait not just because they were 'waiting' for a room but the triage nurse was kinda snooty. And she was remembering me from the previous evening when I came in but left because I was waiting quite a while and it was busy so I felt that maybe she was trying to show me a lesson this night because I wasted her time the previous night. Again, everyone's perspective can be seen as they will. I literally was crying and was to the point of hallucinating because of my fever. Finally, I was seen at close to two in the morning which the nurse that came out and finally acknowledged me was fast and while taking my tempt, stopped and gave my boyfriend a gown and told him to get me in the form because he wasn't waiting for the thermometer to stop reading and decided to start an I.V. to bring down my 103 temperature. So, despite the long wait because of a nurse, I felt, it was the fast work of the gentleman nurse who I know saw me as important and not just a judgment of numbers. They admitted me because I needed round the clock care and I am so thankful to them๐Ÿ˜Œ I know this saved my life. So thank you Vacavalley hospital for having responsive, compassionate, caring and enduring team members on your staff.

My mother came here last month and asked for an X-ray for her back because she was in a lot of pain. The nurse told her she didnโ€™t need it and gave her pain meds. My mother went to Mexico, the dr found cancer in her ovaries, she had surgery, has not recovered well. She had to come back to this hospital, they finally did the X-rays, told her the cancer spread to her bones and that the specialist goes to the hospital โ€œwheneverโ€ they want ?? Sheโ€™s currently waiting for the specialist to tell her what treatment she will need. Overall itโ€™s been a horrible experience. Itโ€™s like they just want her to die so she wonโ€™t bother the nurses or doctors. The negligence is outstanding.

August 17, 2022 Dr. Ankeny, triage Nurse Sara and the rest of the night shift ruined my life. I brought my 20 month old son into the ER and never walked out with him because they decided to lie and call child welfare and stole my baby over false accusations.. This is the worst hospital ever, they never did a confirmed test and they threw out the specimen. I hate this hospital

Nurses, ER and techs all are ๐Ÿ’ฏ% Excellent!! Waiting for Procedure/Test/Results was Barbaric!! Scheduling is by far the worse!! Taking nurses from Vacaville to Fairfield and vice a versa? Patients waiting 17 hours and go without eating or drinking anything before a procedure, REALLY!! There system is broken and all their Employees are suffering from dissatisfied Patients!!

My RN Suleman L was quick and efficient on making sure I got the care I needed when I needed it. On top of every task. Making sure I had what I needed to be comfortable. Took great care of me and I'm thankful to have had him as my RN. 10/10 from your local butcher๐Ÿ™

I came into the E.R for an extremely bad stomach ache . the front desk showed a lot of sympathy and compassion by having somebody take my information while I sat down with my boyfriend . I got called back within ten minutes and after explaining to a nurse what was going on I went to a room and was offered a IV. Iโ€™ve never had one done so when it was injected I started to feel some anxiety because I started to feel a little different but the nurse explained to me that this was normal and that everything will be okay , she monitored my heart rate for me to show me Iโ€™m fine which made me feel really comfortable and safe. I had to have an ultrasound done at the same time and while she was doing this for me she was even telling me not worry and that everything will be okay which made me feel extremely safe . There was another nurse who consistently checked up on me to make sure I was doing okay which also made me feel safe . The doctor was also great and explained things to me in the best way possible . :) Iโ€™ve been coming to this hospital for years and have never felt uncomfortable nor not properly cared for . The most sweetest people <3 .

I just recently had surgery there. All the staff was super nice. They all did a great job. I felt very comfortable and cared for. My surgeon Dr. Marengo made sure I felt comfortable and answered all my questions I had which made me feel at ease before I was rolled into the Operating Room. When I woke up in the Recovery room I had a super nice nurse take care of me. Unfortunately I don't remember her name but I want to thank her for taking care of me with so much care and positivity.

I called and the operator was rude. I told her I wasnt sure if I was having an emergency and she offered no comment and made an impatient sound until I just thanked her and hung up.

Excellent hospital. I was out of medicine that I needed daily and was completely out and had already been to the Kaiser and was treated horribly there and refused to refill my medication. Came here and was given my medicine without any problems and the whole entire staff were so friendly and down to earth. I would highly recommend anyone needing emergency services in the Solano County area to visit this hospital. So impressed and happy with my visit.

I have had health problems for over 20+ years. I have lived throughout Solano County, and no matter where I live, I go to VacaValley for emergency needs. Of course there are some times when a staff member doesnโ€™t seem to understand what it is that I need, but I have found 99% of the staff genuinely care about the patient. I have received exceptional care here and I wish there was more I can do to praise the staff.
