    We had Dinner on Saturday evening in June. Reservation is definitely recommended, but as we were there when they opened at 6:30, getting a table until 8 PM was no issue at all. Service was perfect as it was not busy at this time. Salad as a starter was great. We had fish for the main course. Looked perfect, cooked and arranged to perfection. Just the portions of my fish were to the minimum, I had expected more. My wife had aspergus with the fish which was good, just the fish was without any taste or flavour. In total a nice experience, but the chef did not keep up with expectations. Do not recommend again as it is overpriced under those circumstances.

    One of the best gluten free pizzas I have ever had! The location of the restaurant is out of the way so it is slightly difficult if going by public transport. But it is worth it for the stunning views across the lake. The staff were really friendly too!

    In my opinion the best; friendliest and nicest lake view restaurants around the Lago Maggiore 🇮🇹❣️🍷. Since years we come to it and i have loved going here since I was a child. The food and drinks are always fantastic and Marco and his Team are really great and always super friendly 👍🏻.

    New, contemporary look with friendly people. Along Lago Maggiore with a wonderful view. Multiple languages spoken for us non-Italians. Food was delicious and although nearly full, time to wait for food was very timely. Great wines were available. Certainly the best un Porto Valtavaglia. Thank you!

    Lunch by the lake! We were looking for nice restaurant for having lunch with our father and found Montesole. Just like the name, the ray of the sun is shining in this restaurant. The staff were very friendly, and paid lots of attention to us although we are not local and visited there for the first time. The seating very comfortable and the view to the lake is breathtaking. For the week end and special event, I recommend to make a reservation first and ask for table near the terrace. The view from there is stunning.

    The restaurant itself is a scenographic all white venue with a superbe lake view. Service was quick and friendly, and the people at other tables seemed to love their food. My tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms instead was extremely disappointing Maybe the mushrooms were cooked too long over a slow flame which gives that slimey texture to porcini, but overall the dish was neither appealing to the palate nor to the eye. Shame really,

👍👍 Schönes kleines Lokal, etwas abseits. Gute Pizza, sehr leckere Pastagerichte und auch Fleisch und Fisch. Wirklich sehr zu empfehlen.
