Nice and quiet little restaurant. Friendly, pleasant and generous staff in describing the dishes. Excellent food, normal prices. Lunch with a platter of cured meats and cheeses, tagliolini with fish ragù (excellent), tagliatelle with luganega and saffron (a little bland) and homemade dessert (excellent). Advised

As tourists while crossing we had a desire to eat and stopped by. Even though restaurant was about to close at 14:30, and we reached only at 14:00 , the owners (family) decided to serve us and welcome us. With no rush, they took our order, prepared us great lunch and also gave us coffee. They were also very friendly with our puppies. We strongly recommend Best regards to the owners: from Tiger :)

Small bistrot very close to the center of Laveno and therefore easily reachable from the station and very close to the port. It's a bistro so a short but really interesting list. The owner is the chef, let him guide you as he knows... we ate the red wine risotto with taleggio cheese and crunchy parmesan... amazing

Posto che richiama una piccola trattoria. Cucina semplice ma buona, molta cordialità da parte della signora presente ai tavoli, piccoli, con pochi tavoli all'interno (forse 8 tavoli da 4persone), possibile mangiare fuori al locale sul marciapiede. Scelta limitata ma giusta, e con possibilità di piccole modifiche nei piatti o poter sostituire le portate per i bambini. Consigliato.

If you happen to be in Laveno Mombello I can recommend Ste's Bistrot. We had a nice Polenta with Donkey Stew with an excellent bottle of wine - just what we needed in a cold evening!
