Amazing cafe!! This cafe has such special traditional decor, it is an experience to have a cup of coffee inside:) The coffee is remarkably tasty and the pastries were simply heaven. Really recommended to try out!

Maybe the best around this area. I have tried other options and you can not compare on quality, service, and beauty. If you are looking to have a sweet taste, light breakfast, or afternoon sweet, do not miss this place.

A decent and regular everyday cafΓ©, does not feature anything special, which is surprising, given its rich historical significance.

Great place to stop by for cappuccino and sweets after walking around the shops in the area. We had the milhojas de crema y nata and the selva negra. The selva negra tasted like mousse to me but it was not sweet and nor was it dense. The milhojas de crema was flaky and soft. Both were perfect to go with my cappuccino. I loved the interior design of the shop and plenty of seating available.

This was our go to place for breakfast in Madrid. Fresh Squeezed OJ - lovely coffee and pastries and terrific mini-sandwiches. I had turkey and cream cheese. Service is fast paced and hectic and yet the staff is patient with our terrible Spanish and ignorance of the foods. I wish I had one of these at home.

Got a sample box of pastries to go. I asked if the counter lady spoke English because I wanted to ask what some desserts were, and she scowled "no" and turned around. Rather rude. So I said "cada uno", hoping it meant one of each, but she chose from left to right and left out some cute looking pastries. Was I going to ask her anything after her rudeness? No. There was no price menu anywhere so I accepted my fate of random pastries. They were delicious! But no need to be rude in a sweet shop..? Under €15 euros for the sample box.

Went here to have a cappuccino and pastries and didn’t disappoint. The service was quick and friendly. The selection of baked goods is enough to satisfy your wants. Seating can be limited if you come at a busy time but you can find some seating at the bar if you’re lucky.

The place is beautiful, the coffee is amazing. The service, very poor. It seems that they are fed up with something. Probably the pay is not good. I ordered pan con tomate and jamΓ³n in addition to the coffee. The bread was like a bad hamburger bread from the United States. In the United States the bread is horrible compared to Spain where in any lousy cafeteria you get excellent bread. Then comes the olive oil. That is a joke and an insult to the customers. It is impossible to open it. The lady sitting next to me said that it was impossible that I needed to use a fork to punch a whole. She said to do it carefully so it would not spill on me. Well she was wrong, I did it carefully and still spilled it on my shirt. The person responsible to buy the olive oil should be fired. Or explained that the customer is important to the business. Do not insult the customer by giving her/him this poorly designed olive oil. The jamΓ³n 2nd quality. At a place like this the ham should be IbΓ©rico de Bellota 100%. Well enough with the food, I think you get it. When you come into the restaurant you don’t know what to do. Very disorganized no signs, no lines, people rushing to the counter to order. It is not about who came in first it is about who rushes faster to the counter. As we say in Puerto Rico β€œel mΓ‘s cojonudo gana”. Did I mention I had to clean my own table before I sat down to eat? Come on guys/gals, get your thing together and make this a great business not just a good one. A madrileΓ±o friend of mine told me this used to be a great business not so long ago.

Best coffee in Madrid and excellent service. They didn't have a vegetarian sandwich for my daughter, so they made her one. 3min. Perfect response. And the cakes! Delicious.

Decent Spanish chain. The palmeras and cakes are fantastic, and they have these amazing trufas you can order as well. I'm not a fan of eating in or getting a coffee there, but they make great snacks and deserts to take home or to a party. Also, I think their sandwiches are slightly better value than Rodilla.
