Amazingly freshly cooked home style dishes with authentic and complex flavours, delicious food. Great atmosphere, casual, cosy and funky Al fresco area. Lovely hosts. 5 star.

Mantap! A word I used inside the restaurant, extremely warm customer service and the smell, the sauce, the juice, so yummy! It feels like indo Bali, despite of me not being there😁,so I said to myself "so this is how it feels to be in Bali", generous serving, you must try Babi, nice and juicy inside you. I will be back for more!

It's been straight up almost a year since I have been here and I still think about this place. I honestly was not expecting the level of cooking that was done here. I loved every single bite that I had. The staff was great and the chef who I met was extremely nice and kind. I would definitely recommend coming here if you have not already. I am going to be a life long customer to this restaurant.

Yummy food although the beef rendang is really oily. Dessert was disappointing. The sticky rice was not cooked through, rock hard. If you're in the neighbourhood should definitely try it out.

Good food and portions. Very busy. Had skewers, roti and Balinese banquet and nasi Goreng. All delicious. Only thing I would like was if there was some extra spiciness to the dishes. I did ask but everyone has different level of spice. Otherwise, good food and atmosphere. Would go back to try other dishes. Recommended A+++

The food was really nice, fresh, and with great portion sizes. A nice little indo restaurant located in reservoir. My recommendation is don't go here if you're after a quick dinner, especially on a weekend. The entrees took over an hour to come out, followed by about 40 minutes for the mains. Other than that it's a nice place.

Such authentic Indonesian food! All the flavours are so fresh and homemade, the flavours are amazing. The casual outdoor dining is lovely on a sunny Summer evening- and dog friendly too!

Holy dumplings, Batman! My Asian Neighbour is like a party for your taste buds, complete with confetti made of flavor explosions. This place takes your tongue on a wild adventure through the wonders of Asian cuisine, and boy, does it deliver! From the moment you stumble upon this treasure trove of deliciousness, you'll be transported to a world where chopsticks are your best friends and savory aromas make your nostrils do the happy dance. It's like having an Asian neighbor who knows all the secret recipes and invites you over for an epic feast whenever you please. The menu at My Asian Neighbour is a culinary journey that'll make your mouth water faster than a dog spotting a dropped pizza slice. From zesty Thai curries to sizzling Korean BBQ, and from delicate Japanese sushi rolls to the comforting embrace of Chinese noodle dishes, every dish is a work of art that could make Michelangelo wanna swap his brush for a pair of chopsticks. The staff at My Asian Neighbour are the real MVPs, always ready to serve up a side dish of laughter to go along with your meal. Their energy is infectious, and they'll make sure your dining experience is as fun as busting out dance moves after a few too many sake shots. If you're lucky, they might even teach you a couple of quirky Asian phrases to impress your friends. But let's get down to the real talk – the food. Prepare your taste buds for a mind-blowing explosion of flavors that will make you question your existence. The dish presentation is so Instagram-worthy, it should come with a warning: "Caution: may cause major food envy among your followers." Whether you're a spice lover, a fan of umami goodness, or prefer something light and refreshing, My Asian Neighbour has you covered like a sturdy food umbrella. In conclusion, if you're looking for a taste bud fiesta that'll have you doing the salsa with your chopsticks, head over to My Asian Neighbour. Great food, friendly staff, and an atmosphere that'll make you feel like you've become best pals with the flavors of Asia. Get ready to roll up your sleeves, loosen your belt, and embark on a culinary adventure that will make your belly and your taste buds do a little happy jig. Ole!

I must say that this restaurant is one of my favourite local places. It has became a regular place that my partner and I order from, almost as a weekly tradition. The food is always fantastic, quickly served, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Our absolute favourite dishes include the nasi and mie goreng, the roti brata (with delicious peanut sauce) and the beef rendang. We have never been disappointed in something we’ve ordered. I would highly recommend others to try their food too. I think you’ll very easily become a regular customer like us.

✔️ Hot Spicy Pork Skewers ✔️ Corn Fritters ➖ Mi Goreng Chicken Prawn ➖ Nasi Beef Rendang ➖ Gado Gado ✔️ Roti Brata ✔️ Woku Chicken My Asian Neighbour is an Indonesian restaurant located in Reservoir. It provides a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, enhanced by the hospitality of its husband and wife team, Wayne and Lily, who is also the head chef. The venue itself is inviting, exuding a Balinese-inspired charm through its furnishings and music, especially on a warm night. The menu showcases dishes from the Manado region in North Sulawesi, where Lily is from. 🇮🇩 The Hot Spicy Pork Skewers truly shone, boasting a charred BBQ flavour and tenderness, thanks to a day-long marinade. The Corn Fritters were perfectly executed and crispy. The Gado Gado was a massive portion and very textural. The Roti was perfectly flakey. 🤤 While the Chicken Mi Goreng and the Nasi Beef Rendang didn't quite meet my high expectations in terms of tenderness and flavour, the Woku stir-fried chicken was very tasty and stood out as one of their signature dishes. ⭐️ We did feel the service was slow, seemingly a shared experience amongst other diners. Overall, while we felt there's room for improvement, it's evident that this restaurant holds a special place in the hearts of the local community. They have a 4.8 star rating on Google with over 300 raving reviews, so this may be one to try for yourself. 😊

Such an amazing cozy little place that serves great food! Atmosphere is similar to dining in Indonesia which is a bonus! Definitely do book in early if you want to eat at the garden area. Food does get super spicy which I absolutely love!

Excellent service from booking a reservation to completing our dining experience. Our two friends and their 2 children joined us . We were all catered for from the menu. The food was scrumptious and sufficient and worth the pricing. Moreso, my husband reluctantly left his main meal because he did not have an acquired taste for it. The owner was informed by the waiter who was very wager to please. The owner offered husband a free beef dish, which was delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant. Excellent.

On the ever changing hipster curve of Plenty Rd is this yummy corner Indo eats. Working as a cafe, bar and restaurant it does so admirably with lovely staff and very dog friendly outdoor section with dog bowls and you're not plonked on the main road either. Food was decent and good veggo vegan options with our Lassa a little salty for our taste but will be back to try other mains. A little higher in price than High St but you can taste the love so worth it.

Being an asian myself, I am meticulous when it comes to tasting asian dishes. Well, it gives justice to genuine asian touch in their dishes. I like the idea that it has al fresco dining area with heater but some tables were wobbly and very small if 2 people ordered 2-3 meal each. The food, however, will make you forget this little uncomfortability. The waiting time was longer than the average. The staff were friendly; I heard one staff talking to some foodlovers treating them friendly like real neighbours.
