It’s a mega facility for excellent events in the beautiful city of Melbourne. There’s free charging ports both wired and wireless. Coffee shops and soda points are available for a few. The temperature is well regulated. The toilets are clean and well spread over the entire facility. It’s a great convention center.

Such a huge, modern, spacious clean building for so many to enjoy. Always have a great time when participating in or attending an expo here... ***Food Fair April 2023😊

Great convention centre near the heart of Melbourne. Easy to get to, and lots of options nearby for parking or accommodation. PAX 2023 was a blast.

Important and fun expo events are being held here. Massive Centre. Upstairs is more rooms for conferences you also can overview a stunning Docklands river. There’s a water dispenser to fill your water bottle. Toilets are kept clean. Ivan in charge and security staff always make sure events run smoothly. If you are lost you can always go to Information desk to assist you and a lot of staff can direct you as well

When the big conventions come to town this is where you’ll find them. Great set up and close to the city. Convenient parking underneath. Close to Crown and riverfront dining.

The LUME Van Gogh was awesome. Maybe the price is a bit higher than the value but it’s definitely relaxing place where the masterpiece are all around you. There was also nice room with lots of sunflowers and another room with drawing masterclass. Great opportunity to enjoy the time.

The place is good, the accessibility by public transport is best. The exhibition I went for was AMW and I felt the centre has made excellent arrangements.

Here because The Plenary inside and going to concert there (The Doobie Brothers, excellent). Easy 10 min walk from Southern Cross station, Cross over lovely Wayfarer's bridge. Close to lots of restaurants, next to a DFO and a luxury hotel.

HIGH CAPACITY, MODERN, GREAT RIVER LOCATION The MCEC is a well-designed convention facility right on the riverside, adjacant to some high-end hotels and the South Wharf shopping and dining precinct. Although on the opposite side of the river from the CBD, it is easily accesible via the pedestrian bridge that spans the river (and of course by road). The centre's glass walls allow great views out to the river and the city centre. Being a modern construction, it will present no issues for people with mobility issues.

Have been here a few times for various exhibitions, concerts or to visit the Lume. Immense building covering a lot of ground- can be a LONG walk to find where you have to be. This light and bright modern Venue has friendly and helpful staff to assist, clean bathroom facilities & miscellaneous eateries. The Plenary theatre is a cosy, midsize performance space and has comfortable seating with good sound for concerts or presentations.

Took my grandson. Have a great area for the children to design own collage, another room to build and be creative. Kept him amused for an hour. He loved the glass with the waterfall window. Has a fantastic Picasso exhibition. Worth a visit.

This is a really great place to hold an international congress - I'm here for IUCr2023. Plenty of foyer space that can accommodate large numbers. Location is a delight with excellent pedestrian access across the Yarra river by footbridge. Plenty of food places nearby

Great venue, saw the lume there! But don't park at the DFO end Carpark. One way in and out only! It took me an hour to get out around 9-10 at night when shops closed!! Park at Jeff's shed!

    1. The site of BBC Earth 🌎 narrated by the iconic David Attenborough. A spectacular, immersive experience, well worth the visit. N.B. Small children may easily tire. 2. Visited the Polly Woodside which is in dry dock adjacent to the MCEC. A fascinating glimpse into sailing history and life on board.

Great show and good facilities at The Plenary but sound quality was not great for classical genre.

Great venue for conventions (funny that) and has plenty of everything one would need - like parking, food, drinks, vending machines, toilets, a cloakroom, wifi etc.

A phenomenal venue that can cater for numerous events simultaneously. Parking precincts abound to cater for the huge number of visitors with multiple exit points. Handy shopping centre as part of the complex makes this a regular visiting attraction. Great food and drink outlets dotted around for breaks. Great seating areas for the tired or meet-ups.

This place is the best one in Melbourne for all type of events. One of the reasons is the locations. Really convenient for public transport and it’s easy to find because located just along the Yarra River. I’ve been here many times for all type of events. 👍🏼

Went for the David Attenborough Exhibition and was blown away. Workers were slightly unhospitible, but overall, it was not too bad. Will be more attentive on their events in the future

I recently had the pleasure of attending the ICSE-2023, the International Conference on Software Engineering, hosted at the Melbourne Convention Center, and I must say it was an outstanding venue choice that contributed immensely to the overall success of the event. I wholeheartedly give it a perfect rating! From the moment I entered the Melbourne Convention Center, I was impressed by the world-class facilities and the professionalism of the staff. The convention center exuded a sense of grandeur and sophistication. The modern architecture and well-maintained interiors provided an excellent backdrop for such a prestigious conference.

So huge. Plenty of space for the events and the gatherings. Attended an Entrepreneurship conference and another time for a graduation ceremony. It was a great experience. Parking is on the expensive side. Best to arrive by tram as the tram stop is right in front. Very close to city and South Wharf.

Went there for the children's variety Christmas party. everything provided was great but the amount of time you had to wait in a line was ridiculous so the kids only got to go on 2 rides because it took an hour to lineup for each, and they got a present each on the wayout which was really nice and all the staff were really nice but unfortunately it ended at 12:45 instead of 2 so we only had 2 1/2 hours there unfortunately so it seems like a huge rush.

In-Depth Review: Start of Service 5/5 *Came here for PAX, surely enough staff were Food 4/5 *Food stalls and cafes were located in the pax event. *ordered the mixed souvlaki and it was okay, but food here is here just so you can fill your stomach. Don't expect anything amazing. * * Value 2/5 *Event priced food is always on the upper end. Paid close to $20 for a souvlaki, which wasn't that amazing. But at least if filled the stomach! Atmosphere 5/5 *Pax event, it was vibing really good, great crowd, half the staff were unenthusiastic (or don't have social skills maybe as it is a gamer crowd?) but some were just down to earth lovely people. End of Service NA/5 *No last point of contact, so cannot score on this Overall 5/5 *Large convention exhibition centre, food coups be improved, however as a whole event, it's great space for large events. No issues and very organised.

Visited for PAX 2022 and had a great time. The Expo was really well organised and the setup and facilities were solid. It's huge space and PAX proved it can be used in so many different creative ways. The location is perfect and there's a dedicated drop off area for taxis/Ubers which is useful, especially if it's raining. When you leave you're right on the river bank which is great for an afternoon walk or grab some food and ice cream!

Good show.. seemed to be missing a few little things that would have been good. Less of the massage chair stalls would have been a good start. Some very good information on solar batteries and spas. Nice little granny flat as well.

I love this convention centre, it works very well for many events, I’ve recently been to the crunchyroll expo 2022 and it had a couple issues but nothing to much of a bother, such as long waits just make sure to get there early. It is really big works well when you need a big crowd of people and can’t wait to return for the next event. Would recommend to host and go to events for

Gorgeous facilities! Even if it's just to get your first dose of COVID it's worth entering the premises. You can walk or ride your bicycle just un front the area as well along the Yarra.
