Completed the crumbling prince escape/activity room with my partner and 10 year old son and it was amazing. Such a unique experience. I have done a few escape rooms and this one was the best I’ve ever done and both my partner and son agreed. We will definitely be back for part 2 and love the thought of having a second part to the experience.

Absolutely incredible, clearly designed and run with a great deal of passion. I found Ukiyo online while traveling in Melbourne and reached out about setting up a solo session. Not only did the staff go out of their way to accommodate me, but running the Crumbling Prince alone ended up being one of the most fun and unique experiences I had in Melbourne. Highly recommend Ukiyo to anyone, even those not keen on or experienced with escape room-type activities. Special thanks to Beth for setting up my session, and David for being such a great host!

Me and my partner did the Crumbling Prince room on our visit to Melbourne and we were guided by Dean! A lovely person with a wonderful personality, Dean was kind, interactive and very good at immersing you in the full experience. Dean also gave us lots of great dinner recommendations to try out and enjoyed having a causal chat with my partner about all things DND and the like. A great escape room and a great guide! Will recommend to all our friends and excited to come back ourselves and attempt the crumbling prince part 2!!

My partner and I did the crumbling prince, and both of the deep space rooms. Both were great, though different experiences. The crumbling prince is definitely laid back, and more of a story-driven experience than an escape room. Deep space was more escape room meets story in my opinion. If you prefer the typical escape room experience, deep space is the choice, and it was great. Returning for a second time is worth it as well. If you want a laid-back experience with some puzzle solving, go for the crumbling prince. Either way, you'll have a good time.

It was one of the best escape rooms I have done so far. It will give you a unique experience. The whole concept and setup is different from other escape rooms. It was an interactive approach with a very cool AI setup which made me fall in love with this particular place. 100% recommended!

We went to the deep space divinity escape room. It was such an awesome experience. The story line and setting was simply fantastic. So much effort and thought are put into these escape rooms and it really shows. Our guide Isaac was extremely knowledgeable and just a really down to earth person who made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable - give him a raise! We have also done the crumbling prince and enjoyed it just as much.

Ukiyo was out first ever escape room adventure. And it set the bar incredibly high!! From the get go the experience is beautifully curated. We even got a little snack. The rules and expectations are laid out clearly and all our questions were answered thoughtful and there was no pressure to get a move on. This is not your typical escape room style adventure. It is more of a role play, mystery game! Your choices and decisions have consequences. Your friendships will be challenged. And you will have a bloody good time!!

Updated for Escape or Die because Google wont allow a separate review. Had a great time! Beth was a hilarious host and really sold the whole employee at the haunted house story. Literally didn't know it had already started until she locked us into the room lol. Really suspenseful definitely creeps up on you. Clever puzzles which require logic more than anything. Did Deep Space 1 Divinity with 4 friends and family. Entering the spaceship was sick and when it all powered up it felt like we had we entered a completely different reality. We loved talking to the AI. Don't want to spoil much but there is a cute dog and we had fun patting it but beware of the cat is all I have to say about the matter. If you're expecting puzzle after puzzle with it making sense with the story, you need to adjust your expectations or find a typical escape room. But if you're willing to engage with the world and do something different, you'll have a great time. Our host was a great chap, went with the flow and we had a good laugh afterward. Didn't get his name but will do next time.

It was a fun and intresting experience! The room was a delight to play in, you can tell much love has gone into everything: presentation, the story, even the smallest bit of detail. The gameplay was a unique experience I haven't seen anywhere else. Will recommend it to anyone who loves a good puzzle. Our host, Dean, was also fantastic and served us with enthusiaism and care.

My partner and I have a distinct memory that we have both admired from the host we had (Dean) when we came to play The Crumbling Prince. We had put on our masks and costumes and began playing but soon after I began to feel very hot and unwell due to my health conditions and medication. When we raised these concerns, you immediately jumped into action and we could not be more honoured to know you because of your actions. You immediately stopped the game, I was able to sit down. You began to blast the aircon in the room and got me a cold drink. We understood that because of all of this we would have a shortened time on the game but you INSISTED that we would have the same amount of time necessary to complete the game. Once I was well enough to continue, we completed the game as normal. Never have I ever been treated like that when it came to my health needs and I feel like you should be showcasing that when it comes to your job at Ukiyo. People deserve to know you care about everyone that comes in to play regardless of their situations. The game itself was so creative and fun and the amount of twists and turns in the writing. Even the build up to the actual room itself with the little online pre-game got my partner and I so excited to come all the way from Ballarat and experience this game. Well worth the journey. Amazing date night activity. We can’t wait to come back and try space divinity or even part 2 of the crumbling prince.

I had an incredible experience at the Ukiyo! We play the crumbling prince and the puzzles were challenging yet engaging, and the attention to detail in the room design was truly impressive! Beth was super helpful in guiding us to try the right room for our group. Whereas Dean was an excellent storyteller and very friendly, offering just the right amount of β€œhints” to keep the game exciting. It's a must-try for anyone looking for a different experience to the traditional escape room. I can't wait to go back for another round (Chapter 2 and hopefully 3!) of mind-bending fun!

I played Deep Space and it's sequel and they were awesome! This is different to any other escape room I've played. There was a storyline that piqued my curiosity and kept me interested the whole way through. It didn't feel like I was solving puzzles to get out but rather finding a story that was in equal parts thrilling and satisfying. Highly recommend and long live Enkidu

I've done the Divinity escape room here, and it's quite unique compared to other escape rooms. Some people may or may not enjoy it because an AI guides you the whole time, resulting in fewer puzzles than usual. You don't really have to think about solving the puzzles yourself, which can make you feel a bit passive.

Really well done on every level. The customer service was phenomenal from all the staff we dealt with, and they clearly are passionate about delivering an immersive experience. The game and set are very well executed, much more like an RPG or video game than what I have experienced before in an "escape room". My 11 year old daughter and I played divinity and had a great time, we found we were totally invested in the story. We will have to go back to try each game. Seems like a pretty unique experience, and we found it super engaging. Thanks Ukiyo!

Went in for back-to-back sessions of the Deep Space episodes and had an absolute ball. Very impressed with the degree of manoeuvrability you have to influence the story and outcome. We went in with a group of 4 which seemed like a good amount of people for the space. Never a dull moment. Looking forward to future rooms from this place :)

This experience is like no other escape game I’ve played in the past. The emphasis is on an immersive journey through a well crafted narrative that’s both thrilling and full of emotion. We will definitely be returning again to play the second episode of Deep Space. Our host Nat was amazing as well! Highly recommend to both escape game lovers and anyone looking to have a fun unique experience. P.S. this is doable with 2 people or smaller party sizes!

We had a brilliant and emotional experience with the first Deep Space game. Our guide, Joe, was amazing at setting the tone for the experience and helping when there was a (very small) technical issue. We'll be back!

Really interactive and well thought out escape room for both adults and kids. We had our son’s 10th birthday party there and the kids are still raving about it a week later! Highly recommend.

We have played both of the Deep Space stories and loved them. This is a unique experience; it’s story focussed with puzzles and things to solve. Similar to an escape room except the unique factor that communication with the game is a big part and there are multiple stories/endings that unfold depending on the choices you make. Both times staff have been super friendly and they genuinely love talking about the games.

Crumbling Prince Wow! Love the ambience, great setup, one the most beautiful escape room setup. Love the interaction, and we have different role to play. Thanks Dean, great host. Looking forward to pt.2

Husband and I were here a couple of weeks ago on a week long trip in Melbourne and binged quite a few escape rooms. We played The Crumbling Prince. This is very different to any escape room. It is very story/role play based. very few actual puzzles. We enjoyed it nonetheless. Would like to try the Deep Space next time. Quite expensive which I kinda understand for the tech used but is still quite exxy.

A very different experience to your typical escape room. Beautifully designed story and it was fully immersive. Would recommend if you enjoy a good storyline.
