I had a quick look for restaurants in Niddrie, I saw this one and went in for some authentic Turkish food. It was amazing!! The Chef can cook. It is a great family business and they were most welcoming tonight. In Melbourne for work and I will definitely visit again. Thank you.

Beautiful and tasty food with extremely friendly attentive service. The mix grill was generous portion and value for money. The bread (house baked) and dips were the highlight. Definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone craving some tasty Turkish food.

We LOVE House of Fides. Our favourite local Turkish food restaurant. We've been going there for years and it never disappoints. The ladies making fresh bread in the window gets us in there every time and we even take away the breads after a meal. Hands down, do yourself a favour and get some of my favourite dips (loads of dips to choose from) with fresh breads, gozleme, chicken skewers, coban salad, mixed grill and soups. Wash it down with Turkish tea...... Go there!!!!

This is one of my favourite restaurants we just discovered . Food is always fresh, wholesome and packed full of flavour. Feels like your eating at your families house. It's fantastic. The staff are very friendly well. A family run business done right

Seeing the home-made Turkish bread being made in the window we had to dine in, we ordered the mixed grill for 2 with the eggplant and spicy dip. The eggplant dip was a sure pick, the mixed grill was a good size for two people, and the flavours were on point for everything, hard to pick a favourite. We decided to also try the special desert they had for the night which was like a buttery pistachio shortbread with vanilla ice cream, I wish that was on the menu for good because it was buttery goodness I wish to have again. The staff were also very friendly and made you feel like you were eating with family. Fantastic night, highly recommended.

I have been to House of Fides previously and it never disappoints. I had a function with my family yesterday (we had a set menu due to numbers). There was so much food that we took some home with us and the service was fantastic. Highly recommend this place.

A little slice Turkey in Melbourne. The food was very nice, and the service top class. They were busy and forgot to serve us tea that we had ordered but other than that everything else was wonderful. The best part was the fresh complimentary bread that comes with main dishes. It was so good. The menu has a nice selection of vegetarian dishes too.

The restaurant manager was very rude to me. She mistakenly added an additional piece of meat (that is shorter than my little finger) to my plate instead of my friend’s plate. We figured that out after I ate it and after my friend’s order arrived. I haven’t paid for it in my cheque because simply it’s not my mistake. My plate already contained several pieces of meat so noway i would have noticed. The manager came and talked to me in a very aggressive way telling me that she “assumed” the additional meat was for my plate and i should pay for it. She added that she mentioned that the plate had an additional piece while she was handing it to me while she didn’t and none of my other 6 friends at the table heard her say anything. She told me, “Next time you should listen carefully to what the waiter is telling you when handing you your plate”. So unprofessional restaurant manager. It’s a shame that such a beautiful restaurant that has delicious food has such a manager.
