I’m aware of their Port Melbourne location and was excited to see them open in the city. And even more excited to see a full vegan menu offering made with soy chaap. The chilli “duck” was a bit sweet and could have used more spice but it was overall a nice dish that paired well with the eggplant masala. The chicken momos are also a must - so juicy and nicely spiced.

Lunch @Aagaman_Flinders_Lane for some Indian and Nepalese cuisine. They have lunch specials which includes a thali (veg and non-veg versions) which comes with two curries, rice, naan, papadum and raitha. We also ordered vegetarian momos to share. Some colleagues are vegetarian so there is a good range of dishes to cater for them. One dish they ordered is the samosa masala. The non-veg thali presented a delicious butter chicken which is a personal favourite and this was excellent. Used the fluffy loose grains of rice to sop up the unctuous curry. The other curry presented is a very tasty lamb curry full of flavour. I loved the soft naan with a smattering of ghee, the crunch papadum and the refreshing raitha. The naan was used to polish every inch of the metal tray of food. Awesome thali. The vegetarian momos needed more cooking as the skins of the dumpling were a bit chewy, but the filling was tasty and the chilli sauce enhanced the flavour and provided bite. We left very full and satisfied. Lovely venue with excellent service. #IndianFood #NepaleseFood #lunch #vegetarian #momos #dumplings #lunchspecial #thali #butterchicken #lambcurry #naan #papadum #raitha #foodie #melbournefood #melbournecbd @zomatomelb

All dishes were amazing in taste. Momos were mouthwatering. Kashmiri pulao was also very aromatic and authentic. But the show stopper was the chilli mango cocktail, spicy n sweet.. what a unique tasted cocktail it was! I have never tried this kind of rocking cocktail in my life. Staffs were also very helpful and friendly, actually, they recommended us to try this unique cocktail and I was really blown away by their recommendation. Highly recommend this place to everyone!

This restaurant is absolutely amazing! The unique flavors are so addictive. It’s the first time we tried panipuri. The crispy outer shell and the soft potato puree inside give it a layered texture. The service is very thoughtful and the staff is so enthusiastic. Because we really loved the food here, the staff even gave us butter naan for free, which was a great surprise. Thank you so much for adding a wonderful memory to our journey!

We went there to pick up a meal we'd ordered. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was a quiet and relaxing place to dine at, even though we had takeaway. The food was priced well. It was a great serving of food, we didn't go away hungry. I truly recommend trying this restaurant, you won't regret it.

We went on a Wednesday night and did not need to book ahead. The restaurant was cozy but quiet and the staff were lovely. For food, we had the mild Mushroom Dahi Masala , garlic naan, stuffed kashmiri naan, and the coconut rice. Everything was delicious. Definitely the best Indian Nepalese restaurant i've eaten at. For drinks, we had a Long Island Iced Tea and a Passion Fruit & Chilli Martini. These were both lovely and the martini is pictured attached.

By far one of the best tasting food in Melbourne. The food is all fresh and prepared well, with taste and flavour out of this world. This is a must try of y’all like your curries. They also cater for events of you plan to get same food for functions at home. Only downside to our day was that they were understaffed and we were a party of 35 people, the servers struggled to get to us all but still did their best and made sure all of us went home happily and full. Special thanks to the hard working floor staff who didn’t crack under a bit of pressure

Lovely cool place to dine at after a hot day in city. Attentive service from both of the ladies tonight. Enjoyed the dishes.

Perfect Indian food and even more vegan/vegetarian options than most Indian resturants i have been to. The waiter (resturant owner?) was such a great and helpful person! Hope to visit next time in Mel-bin. 😁

I'm quite torn in terms of their service. There's a female waitress named "Pabi", she's such a dear, she look after our table so well, she made our dining experience better. But there's another male waiter, who would bring us the food, but doesn't know what he's serving us. Our table has one person who can't eat beef, and he didn't bother to explain the dish. Overall, i'd say this place shouldn't be categorised as "fine dining" the atmosphere and services are not exactly like the other fine dining establishment. But I'm really thankful for Pabi because we went for Birthday occasion, her services are just top notch.

Excellent food and a great host. We found this place by chance but will be coming here over and over. Right from starters to dessert, everything was tasty and well cooked. During our time there, we found many customers complementing the food while paying their bills,

First time at a Nepalese/Indian resto and i was blown away by the food quality and the service! This is the kind of amazing/homely food you want on a Friday evening xx What also surprised me is that we get new/warm plates every stage as we proceed through our 3 course-meal and it was pretty affordable in this economy. Will bring my family/friend back here when I get a chance!

I don't often feel moved to make the effort to leave a review, but in this case I think the food and the particularly the service need to be complimented. The staff went out of their way to accommodate the diary need of a couple of our party to the point where they modified the way the dish was prepared in the kitchen. The Lamb Vindaloo was the standout for me. Hot to the taste but still retained the the flavours of all the out spice in the sauce. The Cannon balls are all so stand out. Staff were attentive all night and nothing was too much trouble. I will be back on my next visit to Melbourne!

Aagaman has the most authentic Indian and Nepalese food in Melbourne!!! I’ve tried their panipuri, biryani, tandoori chicken, momos, different kind of bread and curries like butter chicken and all are worth of chef kissES!! So delicious!!! Importantly they make the momo fresh in house!!!!!!! That’s why it tastes so delicious!! The mango lassi is alsooo soooo good and fresh. And their service are the best, Probani, goes beyond in accommodating us with her kindness and friendly smiles always. She also kindly gave fruit salads to my toddler every time we visit! Totally recommend Aagaman with my whole heart❤️

Fantastic food. My wife and I throughly enjoys our meal. The chicken momos were so damn good. Seriously one of the tastiest things I have eaten. We also got the butter chicken and Chana masala with rice and nann. So good. The staff was super friendly too.

Tandoori chicken - Tender chicken marinated in yogurt, pomegranate juice & authentic Indian spice, cooked in a clay oven. Fig kofta - A classic Indian recipe of cheese & fig dumplings simmered in a smooth thick sauce. Mushroom dahi masala - Fresh button mushrooms cooked with yogurt, tomato sauce & freshly ground spices.

Best Indian food I’ve ever had. The level of spice was just right. So flavorful and everything tasted very fresh. I’ll be back.

Aagaman is one of the nice Indian-Nepali cuisine restaurants. The restaurant is located in Melbourne and newest restaurant is in Melbourne CBD on Flinders Lane. Aagaman arrives with a unique array of Indian and Nepalese delicacies created by chef Ram Sapkota, with distinct clean flavoured curries and mastered tandoor cooking.

Ordered several diff curries (butter chicken, palak chicken, Rohan josh, madras chicken , marinara masala) and thali. Overall all of them were better than average. Big servings and freshly made. Would prefer to have served the entree before mains. There was a bit mixup with the orders (10ppl) but appreciated to have the extra order compensated. Bit pricey (normal rice $5 and 6 panipuri $11)!!

Good food and great service. We visited this place as we couldn’t find seat in a nearby Indian restaurant, but we didn’t regret our decision. We got pakora, forest momos, veg biriyani, aloo paratha and kadai paneer. There were 4 pakora pieces and it was very good. There were 6 momos but I didn’t like it as much. Aloo paratha and kadai paneer was good. Veg biriyani was prepared in dum style and was very good if we mixed masala with the rice first. We asked for hot water, extra plates, cutlery and takeaway boxes which was promptly addressed. A small gripe - raitha was charged an additional $4.5 which we should have been notified first, but all good. The food was slightly expensive but the taste compensated it. Thanks.

Aagaman is a really nice restaurant with table service. The staff are lovely and the atmosphere is great. I only gave 4 stars for the food as it is quite a bit spicy, and I am not amazing with spice. They have a small number of vegan options. We shared the dumplings, then had the vegan butter chiken, rice, chana masala (medium heat), and garlic naan. The chickpea chana masala was definitely too hot for me, but my partner ate it. And the vegan butter chiken was delicious. Definitely recommend

Hands down one of the best Nepalese Indian restaurants I’ve been to. The food is delicious and well balanced, such a delight. The pani puri was a textural and flavour bomb. Crunchy, pillowy potato with the freshness of the liquid we poured in. Great start to the meal. Then we had the vegetarian momos which were silky and full of rich flavour. It’s the favourite dish of Nepal for a reason. Then we moved to more of a traditional Indian cuisine. The Rogan Josh was rich, flavourful, perfectly balanced and not oily which went perfectly with the saffron rice. Finished with the garlic naan, every last bite was well considered. The drinks were delicious. Ordered the margarita and the passion fruit spicy chutney martini was an absolute standout. It’s their signature dish and we burst a Smokey bubble (I added a video of it to the review) and it was so cool to experience a cocktail like this. Plus it wasn’t just a good experience it was really delicious. 10/10, would come here again and recommend highly to anyone who wanted a Nepalese Indian experience on a date or with some good friends.

A few weeks back, I visited this place with my friend, and the staff was quite nice to us, even though it was almost their closing time. Due to my dietary restrictions, I couldn't find anything appropriate from the menu. However, the staff and the chef managed to create a customised version of what I could eat. And it was absolutely AMAZING!! The best food experience I have had in Melbourne so far. I really appreciate the excellent service.
