This was my first time driving in the area, and I stumbled upon this charming little shop. The staff was incredibly friendly, and I must say, the tomyam soup was absolutely delicious. The only downside was the portion size, which was a bit small. However, I highly recommend trying the panang curry chicken – the portion is significantly larger compared to the tomyam soup.

It's a shop corner shop on Mitcham Road and Alwyn Street. It's very unassuming when you look at the shop from outside. But surprisingly, the food is awesome. It's very cheap for a very good meal. The service is pretty fast. As it's a small restaurant, it's hard to find a seat when it's lunchtime. We tend to go a little early if we are eating there, or otherwise we get a takeaway. Their Pad see ew, Pad kee Mow are to die for. Freshly prepared and hot served is the best. Most items on the menu are very good. We have been going their for a long time, so we can recommend most of their dishes.

The Thai food is fantastic, especially pad Thai, hokkien noodles are the best. Friendly staff with a smile and give us another bottle of water after we finish the 1st bottle without us asking... great service. Definitely will come again to eat...

It was a shock to us that the place was very tiny but our opinions changed very quickly. We ordered spring rolls which were absolutely crusty and delicious. Well seems like we only got started because the Pad Thai arrived and blew us away. It was so delicious that even my partner said it was the best Pad Thai he's had to date! 😮 To top it off we got the Penang curry with Thai special fried rice and my gosh was it absolutely tender and really delicious 🤤 Definitely recommend this place, absolutely a must if you want to try some of the delicious food within Melbourne 😍

I had a delightful experience at the Thai restaurant! The Tom Yum Chicken Soup was an explosion of flavors - tangy and spicy, just the way I like it. The Chicken Fried Rice was equally impressive, perfectly seasoned and well-balanced. The friendly staff made the visit even better, providing attentive and welcoming service. Will definitely be returning for more culinary delights!

My sister and I absolutely love their food. Happy people looking after you with suggestions and they had no problems with addressing dietary issues. Very noisy but that really can't be helped in the small area but their delicious food is certainly worth it. The small attention to detail that they show each and ever customer was impressive. A+

We were searching for food this evening and stopped by this little shop. A friendly young man came out to greet us and gave us a menu to look at. We decided to have go. The foods were absolutely delicious. We ordered Chilli Lemon Squids. The squids were so crispy outside and tender inside with a dash of lemon juice which was quite refreshing. We also had Beef Pad-See-Ew. The rice noodles were so soft and smooth. It's full of flavour and "wok hei" (heat from the wok). We loved it so much. We also ordered Seafood Tom Yum soup, Green Curry Chicken with Coconut Rice and Roti. They were also delicious. Their chilli sauce was superb. The staff there were all very friendly and polite. Very good experience overall. We enjoyed it very much and will definitely go back to try out other dishes.

Out of the handful of Thai restaurants that are local to me, this is the one I get takeaway from the most. The noodle dishes are always great, and usually have more veg in them than the competition. When they're busy you may have to wait a few minutes more, but it's never too bad.

Nice little Thai restaurant, of all the Thai food I have tried everywhere, this is one of the best, staff are so efficient, helpful and friendly, very good in English, make our dining very pleasant.

Papaya salad was good but a bit too sour for my liking. Definitely recommend 🙏 thank you for your service.

We always order their Green Curry and Thai Basil Garlic with Chilli prawns dish. Very tasty for take away.

Great place to get a sizable and tasty lunch. Must say it's NOT the best Thai food I had, thus 1 less star. However it is very very good value for money. Both the server and chef are very friendly and efficient. This' a place of choice for me when I need a good and semi-healthy bite for lunch around Mitchem.

Ordered chicken red curry - Really bad no flavour. Tasted like a sauce has been diluted with lots of water, just tastes like water. Even peanut sauce was so runny like a curry not sauce. Disappointed my dinner. Even kids left it without eating. Not going there anymore.

Chef's Thai Mitcham is my "Go-To" Thai restaurant. It is simply "The Best." I have tried others in the eastern suburbs but always come back to this one. Staff are great, service is great, and the food is soooo good. I love the Cashew Nut Chicken Stir Fry, Crispy Fried Chicken, and the Sweet & Sour Stir Fry. Fresh and full of flavour, and good value. I highly recommend Chef's Thai.

I ordered the Hokkien noodles (with pork + extra spicy) because I saw two other reviews mentioning them. They were spot on - absolutely beautiful! The meal was loaded with fresh veggies, good quality bits of pork and left a beautiful spicy hum in my mouth for long after I’d finished. The chicken spring rolls had a slight sweetness which I wasn’t so fond of and could’ve used more seasoning, but they mixed really well with the included dipping sauce. I’ll be back for sure!!

Great little place on range view shops on mitcham road. Good parking. Great price food. Delicious food. The pad-see-ew had all the right flavour and taste for it. The chicken fried rice was very tasty and well made. Staff were extra nice as always. Beautiful little shop. Highly recommend this Thai place.

We've driven past a few times and decided to try Chef's Thai tonight. Upon entering, we were greeted warmly and shown to a table. We decided on mixed entree, roti with Peanut sauce, crispy fish and pad Thai with chicken. Bloody beautiful!!! Most likely the best pad Thai I've had...good amount of noodle/chicken/sauce ratio. Crispy fish was delicious 😋 Everything was super fresh and tasty. We will definitely be back!

Nice food, we had the green curry vegetarian was great. Usual friendly Thai greetings and service. Definitely drop on to eat if you in the area, well worth the price and value.

I’ve been here for twice and I can say this restaurant is nice, I would recommend char Kway Teow and fried rice as they only cost $12.9 aud but the quality of food is high. The only disadvantage is that the transport isn’t really convenient as you have to walk for around 15 mins from Mitcham railway station to this shop, but the shop is connected with public buses and there are some parking spaces next to the shop, so overall it does worth a visit.

I love every dishes here, especially Padthai, Hainan Chicken Rice and Fried squid with lemon juice. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Highly recommend. 👍👍👍👍👍

I truly recommended this Thai restaurant! As a Thai person, I promise you will not regret having Thai food here. Especially, Tom Yum, tastes like an authentic one!
