Motto Motto is Located in the Restaurant Section on the Upper Level of Westfield Chermside. Good Looking Japanese Restaurant Offering a Selection of Japanese Favourites. The Aussie Waiter Was Fabulous, SO Friendly !! Had the Pork Belly Croquettes & Pork Belly Kakuni. Both Were Beautifully Presented & Tasted Great. 4 ⭐️ As the Kakuni Was Mostly Rice & Not That Much Pork.

I can't believe that Asian female staff works at the counter of this restaurant! I went to this restaurant to have lunch with my family, and I saw a sign to wait at the entrance and kept waiting in front, but the female employee didn't even look at us to see if she was busy. As soon as a western couple came in about 5 minutes later, the employee greeted them kindly and took their order. I complained to her and she made her apology. I ordered food and gave cash, $104 - $84 = $20. She couldn't calculate and she called two other employees to discuss it and she gave me $16?!? I told her to give me 20 bucks and she got upset. There was no apology! Even while I was eating, she didn't serve me my drinks. When I asked her, she didn't even remember, and she didn't even apologize again. Everyone makes a mistake or two at work. It can't be helped. However, the attitude of not apologizing even after making a mistake is a very bad behavior and makes customers uncomfortable. I went to eat in a good mood, but I only brought unpleasant feelings from this restaurant.

Ordered 1 lovely classic ramen (+1 star), 1 very nice wagyu beef curry (+1 star) added $2.30 for mayo (-0.5 star), 2 serves of burnt pork gyoza (and then got it a new burnt but also smelly pork gyoza's), and 1 serve of $20 fish and chips - tastes not worth of its price, and extra bowl of chips with some canned drinks. Floor Staff were friendly (+0.5star) but kitchen not so well trained under the very busy environment that the shop seems to experience today. Burnt 4 serves of gyozas. Today wasn't the first time. Last time we've ordered 2 serves, and that day wasn't busy at all. We couldn't wait for a remake and also didn't have time left for a refund process. So we just simply told one of the floor staff that this was burnt. Another time, I had enough points to redeem 1 serve of gyoza, same again, burnt. Is it Motto Motto style to serve burnt gyoza? I love gyozas, and most places I've had gyoza would pan-fried the base to golden brown, or light brown. Today, when the remake serve came, we kept it anyway as it didn't look as burnt as the first 2 serves, but the smell was quite strong so I had to drown it in vinegar sauce to rid the smell to taste. Taste was just, of course, just vinegar. Didn't want to risk for another bite and left it at that.

We thought the servicing size for the Waygu beef curry bowl was a little small, but meat was very tender and curry was very tasty. Kingfish poke bowl was very fresh and tasty - recommended if you're into raw fish! I personally think that the soft serves are the best part of the meal - very rich in flavour and not sickeningly sweet. Very keen to try their shakes next time!

My family had a terrible dining experience at Moto Moto Chermside. First, dining tables should be given after ordering at the counter instead of seating directly before ordering. The restaurant seems to be very chaotic. Customers who ordered walked around to look for the empty tables. Second, the owner needs to train the staff properly and carefully. Many staff do not know how many people different dining tables can accommodate. The food quality is terrible. The half egg was broken in the ramen. The fried chicken was small, overcooked and hard to chew. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Food poisoning!!!🤢Within an hour of eating here I had to run to a toilet inside the Westfield and projectile vomit. It was so violent I couldn’t control it. Happened another 4 times within an hour. It felt like my body was shutting down. Acidic yellow bile was all that was left in my system after my immune system tried its hardest to rid itself of the pathogens. Customers shouldn’t have to clean their own tables before sitting down. I had to remove dirty dishes from the table and then wipe it down with a cloth myself because none of the staff could be bothered. I don’t understand how this place has so many positive reviews because the food was subpar at best and we ordered several different things. This place is an embarrassment to Japanese food. Given this experience, I will never come here again. 👎🏼

We’ve come to Motto Motto a few times and have to say the service is always fantastic and prompt. Anthony in particular is super friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend the Pork Belly Kakuni Donburi, and not in this photo, but the Black Ramen is delicious! Currently our go-to faves.

Welcomed by a lovely young lady named Myisha. She served us with a smile on her face! 100% recommend Motto Motto not only because of the tasty food but because of the staff!!!

Fresh and delicious food. We had the Traditional Udon Chicken Curry and the Fish and Pork Belly Bao Buns. The staff were friendly and attentive. Recommend.

Some of the best Japanese food I've experienced. Even though delivery, the food has been exceptional every time. However, in person, the atmosphere is chaotic along with their service. They forgot to serve us our drinks and we ate all our food, and had to get up to ask for our wines at the end of our dining experience. I haven't experienced that level of inattentiveness in a long, long time. The patronage also appears to be overwhelmingly young families so unless you have a tolerance for small, screaming children, I would recommend you go when it's not busy or order takeaway.

Food is wonderful, service is excellent. I highly recommend eating here.

Their rate is great for a reason! They are 10/10. Everything was outstanding. I’d recommend the fish donburi. The miso soup was one of the best I have tried. Also, the vegetarian dumplings and peach tea surprised. The service was good and the food got served pretty quick. Give a try, you will definitely not get disappointed there. ☺️

Best place to grab Japanese food on the go very fast service for just a walk in customer. The staff was lovely and food is super oh yeah and the best Peach 🍑 ice tea ever in Brisbane. I had to get one more after the meal

My wife and I dined here after I flew home from work. The service, atmosphere and food were impeccable. I had a custom ramen… couldn’t fault it. My wife had the Bao buns and we shared the edemame. All of our food was delicious and we will absolutely be returning. Thank you to the chefs and wait staff for your hospitality 🙂

Food: We got a 2 ramen and wagyu beef curry. Ramen was delicious. Also wagyu beef curry it was really tasty for me. It tasted like not too much curry. But I loved it. Drinks: Peach ice tea- It is sweet. If you like sweetness, must try Service: Friendly waitress.

Delicious food. Everything on the menu is worth it. We had the crispy chicken bao buns and classic ramen. The food came out very quickly, the workers are super friendly and efficient.

The place was lovely! I especially enjoyed the iced tea, very delicious and authentic. Our waitress Sajo was amazing :) very efficient and polite. Overall, very nice experience. I will certainly be coming back!

The food was ok. The pork katsu curry was pretty average, the rice was a bit gluggy. The chicken karaage was quite nice, tender inside and crunchy outside. The tonkatsu ramen had a tasty broth and the chewiness of the noodles were spot on. The seaweed chips were not great - too starchy and under seasoned. Bit of a hit and miss!

Very clean and tidy. Food was very fast to serve on the table. Ramen was not bad. But the chicken teriyaki donburi was too much mayo. But nice presentation.

Lovely food! I had a very delicious meal and the staff were very friendly. Lovely lady called Priya helped us. Was very pleased with the efficiency of everything and the food came out quite quickly.

We have loved Motto Motto since it first opened so we were excited to go back yesterday. We were disappointed at the change of menu. I specifically went there to get the karaage chicken sandwich but it was no longer available. I got the bao instead which was ok but very little chicken. I ordered a matcha shake only to be told they weren't available today. My husband's meal came way before mine so I was left sitting there hungry. Also, the table was dirty when we arrived so we had to clean it ourselves. I hope for a better experience when we go back next time.

We came in on a quiet night, the whole place is very pretty and aesthetic. Served by the lovely Tara who delivered all our food with a smile and there was no hesitation when we asked for extra cutlery. The food was absolutely delicious, I'm not much of a ramen person but motomoto is making me change my mind, plus with my side of some amazing gyoza. Absolutely love the lychee tea as well as you can actually taste the lychee. All in all delicious, will be coming back.

The food and restaurant was wonderful, the music was peaceful and we didn’t wait long at all for the food, which was reasonably proves per person too (less than 20 each). Russ was our server and she was very helpful and super kind! thank you so much

Not a busy and cool environment to have lunch. It can be too sunny during summer. Easy to order through QR CODE and decent menu for someone who likes Japanese food. I wish they could have more salad menus and rice paper rolls. We ordered one ramen and gyoza but by the time we finished the ramen, they brought gyoza. It was fine but if we got it a bit earlier, it would be much better.

Don't expect a large portion size. I've been coming here since it opened and firsthand witnessed the bowl size reduce 3 times now along with the increase in price. Can't say you get your bang for your buck anymore. The taste of the food is good quality which is why I rated the food 4 stars. We had 4 meals ordered. The 1st meal came out and it was finished before any of the other meals came out. The 4th meal arrived after the 2nd and 3rd were finished. Service was pleasant at the checkout though timing of the meals was poor. So I gave a rating of 2 for service. Ive added some pics to give you an idea of the bowl size.

Posting this so people are aware and management should be aware too. Had lunch here on a public holiday on 22/9/22 National day of mourning for the Queen. Apparently they charged me 30% on top of my bill. Understandable for a 15% public holiday surcharge. But not an additional 15%. What they did was charge 15% on the actual order, but misleading as that’s not the actual price of my order. And then on top of that was another 15%. The manager said it’s already programmed in the system and they can’t do anything about it. Left a feedback on their website and have not heard from them. They obviously charged all their customers a hefty 30% on that day . 😏 I hope they’ve changed this in their system.

Been here 3x now and this place has always been quick. Decent ramen for its price point. It's simple, not mindblowingly special, but pretty tasty füds and incredibly fast service. The soft serves are also great. If you're looking for a quick and easy ramen/rice bowl, this hits the spot.
