Han Palace in Perth Visited on 28/5/2022 The restaurant has an impressive entrance. The 2 stone Lions guarding on the right check the visitors out before entering. Upon entry, there is a Golden Dragon Throne. However, that's it for the impressive interior deco. It was not just a simple dinner; it was a banquet fit for a hungry emperor. It would nice if the waiting staff be a bit friendly.

One of the best Chinese restaurants in Perth, the standard menu items are perfect and the more pricey items (e.g. Singaporean Chilli Crab) are amazing. Would recommend for a large family outing, special occasion, or with friends. They have large individual rooms and the restaurant is very well appointed with attention to details, e.g. the high quality cutlery. A small note is the large family groups can get overly noisy with young children running amok between tables, but I wouldn't blame the restaurant for that choice, just parents but it may impact your dining instruments with screaming children. Overall great place, can get relatively expensive depending on the more exotic options selected.

Han Palace is a beautifully decorated traditional chinese restaurant. Lets start with the elephant in the room first. Their 'Live Western Snow Crab' with ginger and shallot cooking style, has the gigantic serving portion and extremely delicious. We also had deep fried whole live fish and the taste is phenomenol. Serving time is quite reasonable with minimal wait time and staffs are friendly and helpful to explain the ingredients inside the dish. We ended up ordering the food which is more than enough to eat in one sit - which was the special event to celebrate. Family friendly environment, a little bit noisy due to being chinese restaurant. Here comes the but.. they add a significant amount of MSGs and flavor enhancers to each dish so we ended up drinking gallons of water when we back home. Not recommended if you are not tolerant to MSGs and prone to headache because of it. Deducted one star. Free street parking may be availabe depends on the time you dine in.

Ordered fried duck with plum sauce and steamed rice. I hope that duck lived a good life because the chefs fried the living daylights out of its poor corpse. The meat was so charred and chewy, that I may have well just eaten a leather boot instead. And whatever bacteria that somehow survived the longest bath in scorching hot oil, managed to pass straight through me like the magic school bus. Would not recommend in the slightest.

Ordered take away fried rice. Got white rice with the meat and seafood mixed in & no shallots or greens. Why is steamed rice sold as fried? Disappointed as I have eaten in house and meal was great. Now reluctant to return :-) As a positive the staff are exemplary.

Service is first class and cuisine is well presented. This restaurant is one not to be missed. The high standard they have set should not be taken lightly!

I've eaten here on a few occasions, excellent friendly service, lovely interior and ambience, excellent range of dishes, and of course very tasty delicious Chinese cuisine. Take away also available too.

I ordered lobster yi mien (noodle) it was super delicious and reasonably priced, lobster $58 per pound. Other dishes were big portion too. Good service. Traditional decor. Highly recommend!

Went to Han Palace for dinner for the first time tonight and have had the worst dining experience in all of Australia. The waiter was specifically told not to serve pork to one of us. We asked for pork to be removed from the fried rice and the entire dinner. As part of our order we got a scallop dish that the waiter suggested. When the food arrived, we discovered that the sauce smells of pork. When asked, the waiter went to the cook and confirmed it had pork and just left. After 5 mins of waiting the cashier comes around saying there is no pork. We are now confused. We ask him to confirm again with the cook and he says he'll confirm and be right back. We keep waiting for another 10 minutes and see this guy idling around at the cash register. All this while dinner is paused since we are waiting for confirmation. No one bothers to respond and just left us sitting there. We once again beckon him and asked him to confirm and he gives us attitude and begins to argue. We ask him again to go confirm with the chef and he returns to admit that there was indeed pork served. By this time we have already lost our appetite, sick of the very unprofessional, callous and downright rude and arrogant attitude of the staff. We lost our appetite, left the rest of the dinner uneaten, paid and left. Never going back there again. It was a pathetic experience. The remaining food that we tried was below average. Even chinatown restaurants offer much better quality food and service. Will be speaking to the owner/manager tomorrow to complain about the horrible experience.

We went to do a family dinner of 16 people as we had relatives from overseas. At first, the service was slow. We were put in the private room at the back. It was not until we started ordering food and the higher price items that we got some better service. A bit disappointing but the food was very good. Depends if you want service commensurate with spend or just good service all round.

First time visit last night and was very impressed with the interior and quality of the food. The place was full and most tables were celebrating with crayfish and snow crab and it took me back some 40 years to great Cantonese cuisine in Sydney town. It's BYO wine and the stemware isn't too bad either. Will definitely be back with friends on a bigger table for a banquet.

We attended Han Palace with a large group. The service was impeccable and the food amazing not to mention the price was very reasonable as well.

Its an OK place, haven't visited for quite a few years, have driven past a few times to and from work, surprised that it was still around. Had a takeaway and food was OK.

The best Chinese food in Perth! The take away menu is lovely. The butter king prawns were heaven and the portion size was so generous. Honey king prawns are amazing too. The service is always warm and friendly. I will always return to Hans Palace for my Chinese food. Thanks you Hans palace. ❤️

We attended the Chinese New Year celebration at Han Palace this year. The atmosphere was nice and the decor, etc. However the service was really poor because they had so few staff on that night, there was no way to get the service you would like to have. We would have loved to have had some drinks, we even brought our own wine that we couldn’t drink because it took over an hour just to get the empty wine glasses delivered. Each time we went up to the bar to get a drink they asked us to go back to our seats and they would bring them which took so long. We were hoping that the food would make up for the slow service but unfortunately the food was really questionable. The platters were meant to feed 10 people which was not enough for all of us. The textures were strange, the flavours were lacking and it was really unsatisfying. We have had many Chinese dinners and this was the worst one yet. I am not really sure what happened but we would pass if invited to this venue again as the cost was very high for the quality and service. They did have some nice champagnes available for a good price.

Ordered a food delivery, food was fresh and tasted fantastic. Recommend the black pepper fillet steak. Ample portion sizes, would definitely recommend.

First and last order for this joint!! Food is ok but portions extremely small for the exorbitant price point lamb dish was 50% onions & veg, counted 11 prawns in the honey king prawn dish left us hungry & disappointed. At a $108 for a takeaway meal consisting of 2 dishes fried rice and a soup is insulting and a bit ridiculous having the need to be cooking something else.

The dishes chosen were EXCELLENT and the SERVICE from the staff the BEST! I will be definately going again and will be taking taking my friends along. WELL DONE! to all the staff at Han Palace.

Han Palace was a favourite restaurant of ours years ago which we somehow managed to forget about. We went for a special occasion today and were quite looking forward to our return. At first we sat there waiting for a waiter to take our order for both food and drink. There did not seem to be any enthusiasm to serve us despite the time being 5.30 and there were at least 6 waiters on staff. When we ordered we were told there was no Ginseng Chicken Soup available. Then after ordering the wine the waiter went away and came back to tell us there was none of that wine in stock. We ordered the Deluxe Banquet and the one good thing I can say is that the food was deluxe. That’s where the good ends. The soup arrived and before my partner could finish it, the first entree arrived and then the second entree. Everything one on top of the other with no time to sit and enjoy the feast. We asked the waiter to hold back the main course and to serve it one dish at a time. Our request must have been lost in translation and out came our main. I said to please hold the second dish for at least 10 minutes as we could not possibly eat so quickly, then 10 minutes later out came the second dish which had been waiting in the kitchen for the 10 minutes. It was cold. Honestly we had no pleasure with our dining experience except to say we stuffed some really nice food into our bodies in a really short period of time. We couldn’t even think about eating dessert which was included in the price of the banquet. I can only give this restaurant one star for the delicious food. They will not see us again nor will we be recommending Han Palace to anyone.

MSG was used too much on all of the dishes. Had a few bites and lost my appetite. Order Mongolian Lamb, tasted way too sweet like eating syrup sauce. Fried rice was salty. Beef and Kailan was drenched in MSG infused sauce. Got full from drinking water only. Service was bad. None of the waiters understand what is rice. My plate was taken away even I havent started eaten yet. Everything is just so poor. Place looks great but food and service is a no no. Definitely will not return. Wouldn't recommend none to come.

From the States and been craving good Chinese food. This place was very good and didn't feel like we over ate even tho we did order a lot and we did finish it all. Definitely coming back next time we in Perth.

Went to my friend's birthday party last week and found out this place is absolutely fantastic. All the foods are well presented and seasoned. The service is stunning. Definitely would like to go back again!

The food was amazing but the service was lacking. Took ages for some of our food to come out, confusion when asking about a dish we were waiting on then another came out alot later. Trying to get someone’s attention to come and take dishes away and bring out our cake took a while and then when we asked for a knife, we had to go and ask again for one later. Staff seemed annoyed with being there, no smiles. Was also told we couldn’t bring balloons with glitter and stuff inside them, if they pop then we’d be charged $150 for cleaning! Def wouldn’t recommend!

Food is excellent and the service first class. Would definately recommend to anyone who wants a very nice night out with friends!

Always a fantastic experience at Han Palace. Awesome dishes that make it worth travelling 5 hours for. However, the best part of visiting is the warm welcome we always receive from the host Ivan, even though we do t make it up to Perth as often as we used to he always still recognises us when we come in and always provides the best service we've ever had at any restaurant. Would recommend to anyone who likes authentic food.

Han Palace gets a star for being able to park at the door. Had a great lunch with fantastic company. Service was excellent, prompt and friendly. The food was great Australian style Chinese and did not disappoint. Sweet and Sour pork, Sizzling b;ack pepper beef and other favourites were all on the lazy susan. All excellent. This is a restaurant that i have been to several times over the last few years and it is consistent and serves great food. Well worth a look.

Best Chinese in Perth. Hans down! We finally tried this place 3 months ago after living across here for years and never having tried. Wow were we completely taken back. Like entering another world! A Chinese culture, high class world. Best salt, pepper chilli tofu I've ever had & garlic kai lan. Been 3 times now! It is definitely the best. A reason they have so many awards on their wall
