A fantastic experience in a really authentic Greek restaurant with a more modern twist! All dishes we had were absolutely amazing and delicious! Highlights of the dinner were the octopus which was super tender and perfectly accompanied by the fava and also the papoutsaki! All dips flavors were amazing and the giouvetsi with prawns another surprise dish and super flavorful! The service was outstanding and definitely a highly recommended restaurant you must visit if you want to have a really Greek dinning experience

There were three of us here for the 120pp Valentine's Day set menu tonight. We were each given a free glass of wine at first, the food was delicious and the service was excellent. Everything was fine until a couple came in and sat at the next table half an hour later. We got our meze at about the same time as them, and their amount seemed to be slightly larger than ours. This is followed by as many main courses. In the end, everything was the same except for free wine and dessert for one extra serve. The bill came down to a 25 percent discount for the third person, but we still felt a bit short-changed.

Great food- highlights were the grilled octopus which was very tender with a very nice flavour combination with the fava bean paste, and the pita with dip which was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside (dips were so good we saved them for other dishes). Exceptional customer service with a waiter named Fernando who was very attentative to the table and when he wasnt sure where the fish was sourced from contacted the head chef (who was off site) to find out that it was locally sourced.

Most of dishes are too salty for me so I need to drink lots of water… 10% weekend surcharges. Cheese and kingfish are good.

The food here was to die for. Best octopus ever. Nothing specifically for kids though, which is fine if your kids will eat grilled meat our kids ate everything. Rather noisy table next to us, due to the right space upstairs, but otherwise amazing!

Beautiful modern Greek restaurant. Would highly recommend to visit. Excellent choice of wine, cocktails and food. Really interesting specials. We went for dinner and were very pleasantly surprised. Everyone was super attentive, booking was very easy. We wanted to try everything on the menu. We shared a trio of dips that was absolutely delicious and accompanies by warm and testy pita bread. For main we had chicken lemonato and lamb riganato. Both were perfectly cooked and very testy. We were very tempted with desserts , but couldn't eat any more as the portions are generous. We will definitely come back.

Staff were professional and welcoming, food was delicious and the cocktail making experience which we did was fun and a great idea. Highly recommended

We did the cocktail making course which was great! The bartender doing the course was so knowledgeable, friendly and easy going. It was a great way to end our evening and the cocktails we made were really nice. Would definitely recommend doing the cocktail making course. Thank you for such an enjoyable evening and unique experience.

Enjoyed dinner here on a warm Thursday night. The restaurant was full by 7.30pm. The dining room is stunning and contemporary with not a single blue and white check tablecloth in sight! The menu included Greek classics but with a modern twist. We enjoyed the saganaki, calamari, beef stifado and lamb with a delicious side of chips. An enjoyable evening out. My personal preference is for more shallots in the stifado as mine only had 1 but the plate was still delicious.

Yummy Greek food at Salona. Recommend! Must order the dip!

I had a quick meal here before a show and it was amazing! Fast, delicious and great service. Lovely ambience for an intimate meal and good share food!

If you can't get good Greek food in Melbourne you're not trying but Salona is really good. We shared a range of dishes and all were very tasty but the fish was out of this world. We'll be back soon.

Originally wanted to visit another place, but I'm so glad that we ended up here! Staff are friendly, have nice seatings, good food and atmosphere. My friends visited and were their first time having Greek food, and they absolutely enjoyed it. The saganaki was their favourite, and I would recommend the wild prawn pasta. May think parking will not be easy, but the streets around help, I went on Sat night and was able to find a spot pretty near. Would love to revisit and recommend it to others 😉

We just did the cocktail making class and had the best experience! The bartender (I think his name was Nic?, our class was on the 06/01/24) was so knowledgeable, attentive and personable and made the class even more enjoyable. Highly recommend for a fun date night!!

I’ve done the cocktail class at Salona twice now and it was a fantastic experience both times! Small class size, delicious cocktails and food and great value for money. Highly recommend!
