Had the CnY dinner menu last Saturday with a group of friends (13 ppl in total). Paid $70 per head. I think it was overpriced. I barely ate $70 worth of food. The dishes were quite salty. Vegetable dishes had lil pieces of meat/porc in there. Was hoping the veg dishes would only have vegetables in there as there were already a lot of meat dishes on the menu . Repeated ingredients in some dishes. Service was ok. Food presentation was great but as the adage goes “the proof is in the pudding” . On another note, the dishes you see on the photos did taste ok- good .

I have been here a few times now and I must say it has been quite consistently delicious. They have a very authentic version of the yam ring (which is one of my top 5 final dishes to have if I was on death row). Alas, on this Friday night, they had run out so I had to put up with their fish head curry, marmite pork ribs and salted egg prawns instead. All of which were super impressive! The chunky meaty pieces of deep fried fish head made my head spin. The curry broth was tingle worthy while the marmite pork ribs brought back warm childhood memories. The prawns were fresh and huge - loved the seasoning. The food was mildly on the salty side but nothing a bowl of rice couldn’t rectify. I definitely will be back for my yam ring fix, which I now know should be pre-ordered. Nothing will come between me and my yam ring ever again!☀️

$10 meal options!!! Don't underestimate the prices. The dried noodle dishes are very filling. Fried tofu was delicious. Laksa was... Not traditional Laksa. Quite spicy and... Different tasting.

Malaysian/Singaporean restaurant with mostly individual dishes i.e. noodles and rice and some sharing side dishes. With prices starting from $10 it is one of the best cheap eats in Melbourne. The portion is generous for the price, it came out fairly quick and tasted good too. Loh Bak was crispy on the outside and tasty on the inside. The nasi Lemak had a fragrant sambal. Kolo Mee was tasty and Moorish. The Pork noodle came with a soup that was delicious, however the noodle was overcooked. Food - 8 Service - 8 Vibe - 7 Price - $

Amazing authentic food and great prices. Had the lobster noodles, yam basket, silken tofu, and curry fish with my family. Great service from the boss David as well! If you're looking for authentic malaysian food, definitely give this place a go!

The $10 meals are a great deal, however quite small in size and quite slim on ingredients. It is a very casual restaurant, order at the counter and self serve utensils and water. Staff were friendly. Probably more of a lunch or takeaway than a full sit-down dinner. We dined at 6pm on a weekday and it got full quickly so arrive early.

Great variety of traditional Malaysian food with some on special prices. Ordered their pork noodle (dry version) , kolomee, curry mee and chicken rice All of them come out in timely manner and quite flavourful too. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

I’ve order mi goreng and roti. And it was the worst I’ve ever had. It was so salty. But I don’t understand how can roti been salty without dipping into any curry sauce. And how can this restaurant being rated 4.1 star

The food is good and authentic. But the restaurant need to renovate to be more attractive. It take a while to wait for the food to be served due to lots of online take away order.

Ordered the sarawak kolo mee and Sarawak laksa. Kolo mee was perfect! Bouncy chewy noodles similar to Kuching style kolo mee, and the Char Siew was authentic sarawak style. The sarawak laksa however was average. The soup was lacking, but still it was very very nice. Nice atmosphere, good service and very reasonably priced. Will definitely be back to try other items.

Good spot for quick cheap lunch. Inside is spacious with space to move unlike other Chinese restaurants that tries to cramp tables in as much as they can. The Sarawak laksa is lacking a bit with ingredients but taste is ok; kolo mee also bit on the ‘wetter’ side which is not what I’m used to - overall, food is good for what it is and will be back if around the area.

I recently visited a fantastic eatery that reminded me of a hawker style shop. lunch offers a range of options starting from just $10, making it an excellent value for money. The food was absolutely delicious, and I was impressed by the great taste of every dish I tried. The self-service setup added to the overall experience, making it convenient and hassle-free. I highly recommend for a satisfying and affordable meal.

This place is our canteen. We come here at least once a week. We love the $10 malaysian food, especially white curry mee and kolo mee. The service is very good. All must come to try it and support the generosity of the boss when all chinese restaurants have raised their food price, but this place still....today we tried their deep fried fish crackle snack (ikan lekor) for the first time and its surprisingly good.

We had double lobster and noodles, fried Japanese tofu with minced pork, and fried barramundi for dinner last night. Amazing cooking, really enjoyed all the dishes (especially the lobster)!

Bought takeaways today- $10 Hainanese Chicken Rice and $10 Nasi Lemak. Both tasted great. For $10 it's a real bargain. Friendly service. Will be back with my girlfriends for a sit down meal soon to try the other specials

FANTASTIC FOOD!! Absolutely bursting with flavour in each bite and all for $10 only! The staff is very kind and service is single handedly the best and quickest I have experienced.

Being here for a couple of times in the last 3 weeks, enjoyed the fish head noodles- the fish head was generous in size and super crispy and tasty ,the best ever tasted in Melbourne and the promotion at $12 was a big deal! And take away the other promotion of $10 chicken rice equally good and worth it. And many items are good too!!

This is my favourite char kuey teow in Melbourne. In fact it’s the only dish I’ve ever eaten here - and I’ve visited maybe 10 times. Portions are a good size and it’s cheap and cheerful - currently at $15.50 for the lunch deal. Can’t comment on any other dishes.

Food overall was good - better than your average Chinese take away quality that you can get most places - and generous serve and tasty. For a Malaysian restaurant would more interesting with dishes like beef rendang on the menu and less of just standard Chinese dishes like the old beef and black bean. The big tables are far too high for anyone under 6 foot tall and front door wouldn't close on a cold night so bring a jacket if you want to eat there. Service was ok but served dish with pork where it was specifically requested without but taken back with no fuss and replaced - great take away option but probably avoid dining in.

We often forget to come here but when we do we are always so happy with our dishes. The food is always so delicious and my girls who are quite fussy with food always enjoy their meals from Malaysian Station, highly recommend if your after Chinese/ Malaysian food!

Came to Melbourne from Malaysia for a short holiday & this place instantly reminded me of food back home. Meals from different backgrounds are all here & they all taste amazing! Not to forget the price & the size of the portion. All in this place is affordable, delicious and has amazing service! Thank you David for having us 🤩

My first time here, ordered Fish Fillet Noodle Soup, Lo Bak and Cham. All of them were very impressive, taste like home. Fish fillet noodle soup was such a comfort food, milky but not too much, just the perfect amount. Fried fish itself was amazing, taste so fresh. Lo Bak wise, I might say this is the best among Malaysian kopitiams I’ve been in Melbourne, umami. Cham was excellent, balanced combination of coffee and tea, not too sweet. The staffs, especially 老板uncle was very nice, he offered me a complimentary Rojak, a pleasant combination of pineapple, cucumber, mango topped with palm sugar, peanuts. Such a satisfying experience, will come back for sure. Worth the distance travelled from CBD to Balwyn North, keep up the good work! ❤️
