Authentic Lebanese food that just hit differently! I’ve been to almost every Lebanese restaurant in Melbourne and Mazaj was by far the best I’ve been to! Everything we ordered was amazing full of flavour and served beautifully! The staff were incredibly friendly and kind and all the food was served quickly and cooked to perfection. Felt like we were receiving the royalty treatment! My friends and I were literally rolling our eyes every time we’d take a bite out of something… it was that good! We also tried the desserts baklava ice-cream and pistachio milk cake.. oh my goodness!! Hands down they were the best desserts we’ve ever had. No exaggeration it was seriously out of this world amazing. A must try! Thank you for a beautiful authentic Lebanese dining experience that reminded us of our beautiful hometown Lebanon! We will definitely be seeing you guys again!

The service and atmosphere were fantastic, very nice and helpful staff. The food was very nice and delicious and was served in a timely manner. Their chips is great. Prices were reasonable. Really enjoyed the Garlic lemon chilli chicken. It can be a little too much flavours having it all on your own, amazing dish to share. Everything we've had has been good but wouldn't recommend yellow rice with chicken. Baklava ice cream is also a nice way to finish. Great halal restaurant.

Been wanting to come here for a little while and whilst it is good, the whole experience felt a little chaotic. They were clearly busy which had an effect on the service. Our group had to grab menus ourselves, a lot of our order was missed and we needed to chase up a number of times. We also had to check the bill at the end and get it corrected. They were very friendly and the food was of a good standard. I would assume our experience was a one off and would be willing to give it a try again. Despite this, we did enjoy it our meal!

What a stunning venue! It is very eye-catching from the entrance, through to the central feature vase in the middle and the mesmerising colourfully-lit arches along the wall. A surprise wow-factor venue for a humble shopping centre. The servicre for the evening was fast and attentive. It is not uncommon for it to feel restaurants are understaffed these days and hard to get attention but here, they were always at the table asking if anything was needed and quickly cleared plates away when ready. There is a vast array of menu options and our friendly waitress did well to recommend us some popular dishes. The food was just tasteful enough but possibly not as rich in flavour as you would get in authentic Lebanese dishes we have had elsewhere. Nevertheless, the flavour profile at Mazaj will appeal to the masses and definitely larger groups. Drink options are plenty (incl non-alc mocktails and tea served in pots) as well as a reasonable dessert selection with sisha also available in a separate section if you wish. The only improvements to bring to 5* for us would be the value for money (pricing vs serving sizes). As an example, the Mazaj mixed grill dish at $49, it's reasonable to expect there would be some condiments / small sides. Unexpectedly the fatoush salad was so delivcious and a highlight. The vine leaves dish was unfortunately the most standard dish of the night. I did appreciate that the desserts weren't sickly sweet or overpowered with rose water. We spent approx $70pp for 4 mains, salad, dips to share and 2 desserts + baklava each.. all to share between 4. Would come again and try more dishes. Tip: Ask for the tables along the wall with arches upon booking. 6pm seating on Friday was perfect. It got quite busy from 7pm.

Mazaj is very nice and the staff are super friendly. The vegetarian options in the menu are many and very tasty. We tried the hummus and bread as well as the garlic potatoes which were fantastic. The falafels are really nice too. We really liked the pistachio milk cake as well which we opted for instead of the baklava ice cream which also looked quite tempting.

Incredible lunch today at Mazaj with my grandma! This place is owned and run by Lebanese people and that’s the best sign that the food was going to be exceptional and it truly was. Jamal was our server and was so lovely and attentive! The chef even came to check on us as well to see how everything was which was very nice of him to do. We ordered a whole lot of entrees and were not disappointed and left filled stuffed. My grandma is generally fussy with her Lebanese food being Lebanese and she gave her tick of approval so it’s a definite recommendation from us! The baklava ice cream at the end was a total stand out dish and a perfect way to finish our meal.

Beautiful location and atmosphere especially with all the amazing Lebanese tiles and decor. Jamal and the team were fantastic! Being very attentive and accommodating. Now the food was out of this world! Portions are large and freshly made, looking forward to having leftovers tomorrow 🙂 Thank Mazaj Team!

This was by far the best Lebanese food in Melbourne. Jamal served us and I look forward to being served by her again and again :) I had the grilled Barra and it was cooked to perfection. Seasoning was on point in all the dishes. Lovely warm decor. Will be back often.

Our recent visit to Mazaj was an absolute delight for the senses. The warm and inviting ambiance paired perfectly with the rich, authentic flavours of Lebanese cuisine. What truly stood out, however, was the exceptional service provided by their waiters, and particularly Jamal who stopped for a chat with my in-laws. She also recommended the ice-cream - which was made in heaven!! Her friendly demeanour added a personal touch to our dining experience. We look forward to returning soon.

Excellent food, excellent service, great atmosphere. I even loved the chairs, so happy and flowery. The service was exceptional with the waitresses being so patient and attentive. Will definitely be going here regularly now. Do yourself a favour and order the pistachio cake after food, it is amazing. The location of the restaurant inside Forest Hill Shopping centre is a bit out of sight. It's located just next to Timezone and Lollipops but you have to look for it to find it. Great restaurant.
