Really lovely campsite in a great location with excellent views (if you're in a tent in the top field). It's very well maintained, caters for all types of campers (tents, caravans, camper vans etc.) and looks to be run along sound environmental principles. The centre of the site has clean toilets and showers with facilities for washing pots and fridges for milk etc. The town centre of Bishops Castle is only a short walk away through a field which has shops, pubs and restaurants. The people running it are friendly and helpful and during our 3 day stay I couldn't find anything to complain about. Would highly recommend if you're in the area looking for a relaxing campsite to stay in.

Lovely little campsite. It was only me in the tent so I stayed in the yurt field. Nice and quiet and good facilities with very clean showers and toilets and a couple of communal fridges, which are handy. Only a five minute walk into Bishop's Castle itself which is a lovely little place.

Stunning location, but on arrival was met with a surly miserable unfriendly man at the house, given no info about site, not informed about meter at pitch, and meter in shower, don't know what would of happened if we had no change,no mention of it on website....poor customer relations

This was the first time we stayed here checked in no problem with a lovely lady. We had a choice of 2 fields picked the smaller one which was so nice views where lovely. Facilities lovely and clean . You could also hire firepits which was great just lovely sat out in the evening. It was a Short walk into Bishops Castle about 10 mins which was really nice lovely pubs and a beautiful walk through the site. We also went cycling great cycle rides from the site through some lovely villages. We would definitely come again to this site we loved it.

Chose this location as we had been told how beautiful and tranquil it is and that noisy camping isn’t tolerated. Certainly is beautiful but we couldn’t enjoy any tranquility as even though we were in the tent field away from the main site…. a group of camping singers/musicians with a microphone and banjos/ukuleles started murdering classics at 7.30pm and finished at 10pm… it was such a shame! Yes we could have gone over and asked them to turn it down but it’s the owners responsibility to police what seemed a professional campsite so that all can enjoy the location

I've just spent 3 nights in the Plowden Railway Carriage over May Bank Holiday. The carriage is extremely comfortable and warm, with everything you need for a long break. Toilets and showers were less than a minutes walk away and kept clean. I will definitely stop here again in the near future.

Lovely hidden gem really quiet and peaceful good toilet and shower facilities. Although it seems really remote it's actually really close to bishops castle.

Great, relaxed site. Loads of space to pitch up. Clean showers/toilets and washing up area. Amazing views and 10 minutes easy walk down in to town (recommend the 3 Tuns or Boars Head for food and drink). Will definitely be returning

This is a lovely campsite with stunning views over the Shropshire Hills and within easy walking distance of the beautiful and interesting town of Bishops Castle (either via the road or the Shropshire Way footpath which runs past the campsite). The facilities were good and it was impressive that showers were solar powered and toilets used rain water. We received a friendly and helpful welcome. It does state it on the website but do make sure you bring cash to pay for your pitch plus 50ps for the shower and pound coins for the hookup if you've booked one (although you can get change at the house). The only thing that needed slight improvement was communication in advance, email and phone didn't elicit a timely response. All in all the owners have worked really hard to create a beautiful and environmentally friendly site and despite the fact that we had very wet weather (staff worked tirelessly to keep the toilet and shower block as clean and mud free as possible) we had a lovely stay. Thank you.

Fantastic site. I had such a great time in this locale... that i stayed an extra night on top of my long weekend. Good facilties.. including a breakfast wagon at the weekends. Clean and tidy with very welcomming hosts... like to chat. Ten minute walk into Bishops Castle via a trail and all you need in the very pleasant town. Charming area and great for quiet walking trails or exploring. Large fields with superb views.
