Joined 3 weeks ago after a very fun and successful taster session with Master Dean. The vibe is very positive and family friendly, although not missing out on nurturing good values and discipline. We've decided to join the family session with my 2 daughters; 6yo and 4yo. We've really enjoyed it and loved doing it together as a family. Starting off with warm up / stretching, Kata practice, and self defence. The team is so friendly and welcoming, very supportive to ensure everyone gain out of each session. I would really encourage and recommend to at least give it a try, you won't regret it.

The instructors at this academy are nothing short of amazing! They are all highly qualified and have a genuine love for working with kids. My 4-year-old daughter has only been attending classes for a short while, but she is already having a blast and learning so much. I highly recommend this academy to anyone looking for a fun and educational experience for their child. Thank you for providing such a fantastic learning environment!

I would highly recommend this place. My son started few weeks ago and absolutely loves it. We have already started to see some improvements from when he first started. The team is made of lovely people , they made it easy for my son to settle in and enjoy every lesson. He is now looking forward to it every week. If you are thinking of joining, please do. You wont regret it. It is different from other martial art place as martial art burton doesnt only teaches martial art but also life lessons you child will benefit from.

After 2 weeks of attending kickboxing classes I have already seen the benefits. We decided to enrol our daughter for a number of reasons, including having an outlet for her energy, learning discipline and making friends. She enjoyed the initial 1-2-1 session (free of charge) with Master Fern and couldn't wait to start the following week. She was very nervous, but within minutes another student went over to her and encouraged her onto the mat. The instructors are incredibly approachable and helpful and the atmosphere in the dojo is really positive. All students are spoken to when they arrive and leave the building and are told how well they have done that session. My daughter already feels more confident in herself and it is lovely to see her working and communicating with different partners (of all ages) when I collect her from the dojo. The great thing for us as a family is there are 4 sessions a week that we can choose from (she goes twice a week) and we book her place on the app. This allows us to be flexible with when she attends and she doesn't miss out on a session.

We signed our 3 and half year old son up to Martial Arts Burton with the aim of helping with focus and self confidence and several weeks in we can definitely see the benefits...P still struggles at times with the classes but all the staff and other attendees are so patient with him; he always joins in eventually and leaves each class with the biggest smile and buzzing at having been involved....we've seen him come out of his shell mixing with a new set of friends and it's been nice for us having other parents to reassure us. We'd highly recommend the classes, the tutors are all very different in their approaches but each one is well received by the children who all seem to respond well,, especially if they get to pick the Master in Ninja Ninja Turtle!

We are 3 weeks in to our journey and so far it has been a brilliant experience for our 9 year old. From an encouraging and knowledgeable introductory session with Master Fern to regular lessons each week, the instructors and facilities are top notch and it is great to see the progress being made. The flexibility with lessons (there are 4 sessions each week that are available to choose from) together with ease of booking through the app is great. It means we can make sure he gets 2 lessons a week, with flexibility around family events / other commitments which is really helpful. Most importantly, he loves the lessons, is excited and motivated - can't ask for much more!

I joined this place about a month ago. I am 37 years old and I was struggling with my mental health. I needed a place to belong. I have a goal now and my confidence skyrocketed. My body is changing slowly. And this is only after one month. Teachers and students make me fell ever so welcome. There is pure dedication in every master with sharing their knowledge. I never feel invisible. I took a chance on a bunch of strangers with the passion for martial arts and I love it. I would highly recommend.

Ethan has been at Karate for almost 3 weeks and he absolutely loves it. He is starting to grow in confidence and he has even made a new friend. He loves getting a progress stripe each week and always comes out smiling. The staff there are lovely and encouraging and the key words are great to help are great to help be a better person. To anyone who is thinking of joining, do it. It was the best decision me and my son ever made.

⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ highly recommended! My little boy who is three absolutely loves this place! I cannot recommend the guys enough… from the start I was made to feel welcome, Master Dean offered me and Rocco a free trial and he went through everything with a fine tooth comb! This was the structure of everything they had to offer and when you sign up, you also get a free inform! I also signed up to the app, which is very informative, giving all the information I need and reminders for the classes, which you can also book online. Rocco enjoyed it that much, he mentioned it everyday until we went back. The class itself is amazing, they teach boys and girls of all ages, discipline, respect and make learning fun, the kids also burn up a-lot of energy and by the end of their 45 minute class my Rocco is absolutely shattered! If you are looking for a class for you little ones or yourself then look no further!

It has been only one month since little one, age 7, has joined karate. Reason we went there, was to get some more discipline for her and gain an ability to stay more focused on things for longer than a 2 minutes. We were struggling at home with discipline, but since we enter the club, first induction session was fantastic. We straight away understood that its the right place for her to gain a confidence, focus and work on discipline. We were greeted by Master Dean, who looked and sounded as highly professional and that little one listened to him on her first induction session was a massive surprise for parents. We attend trainings regularly every week, 3 times a week. And she completely loves it. Loves showing off new moves, kicks at home. Her discipline at home has become much better. After 3 weeks of attending the club, she received, for the first time ever, star of the week award at school for her kindness and 'Can do' attitude. Now she is looking forward to become student of the month in karate. Also her grandparents noticed attitude changes in her. I would like to say massive thanks to everyone- Dean, Alycia, Aaron and Marc and rest of the team. You guys are fantastic. You know what you are doing and you definitely know how to make those little ones listen to you. Much appreciate all your hard work.

My 3 year old daughter started sessions about a month ago and absolutely loves it. The Little Ninjas classes are so well tailored to her age group and after each lesson she spends the next several days practicing all the moves and showing everyone what she learns. The instructors are very engaging and make it really fun for the kids and do a wonderful job of ensuring each child feels involved. I love the system of earning a coloured stripe on their belt after every lesson, it really helps her feel she has accomplished something she can be proud of. And the simple cues they learn in the lessons of “concentration,” “respect,” and “sit like a black belt” are really helpful with regaining her attention at home as well! Definitely the best class she’s done! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Martial Arts Burton to anyone considering it!

It has been an amazing experience and 100% recommended. Kids learn so many values as respect or team work to apply not just during the class, also on their daily routine, and it is done in an excellent way! They learn at the same time as they have fun and exercise. Team is incredible, really nice and gentle with the kids and always with a smile on their faces.

I am very impressed with everything from the free one to one session to every session my son has been to since. He has gained so much from coming to class, his listening has improved and he is being more respectful of other people. The staff are fab with the children, they have so much patience and time for them and truly just want the children do the best they can. My child really looks forward to getting a stripe on his belt at the end of the session and is so excited to be getting his belt soon. I would 100% recommend Martial Arts Burton Black Belt Academy.

My 2 sons ( age 11 & 8 ) started with Martial Arts Burton in February and we are very happy and I’m tempted to join up myself! Master Dean has been very helpful and accommodating from the point of our initial enquiry. The taster session was very informative particularly for us as parents , to understand what Martial Arts Burton is all about, especially as this is completely new to us all. The boys loved having a go at some moves with Master Dean & came away with huge smiles & asking when they get their uniform. We did look at other establishments which offer kick boxing too, but felt that Master Dean and his team have a great ethos and also structure to the learning which we feel is needed to progress. There is a very family friendly feel & the boys have settled in well and love going. The flexibility of being able to attend any of the sessions during the week is great. I would say that already , they are showing each other more respect, which is pretty good between 2 brothers! But most importantly, they are having fun 😃

We highly recommend Martial Arts Burton for anyone of any age and it has already had a positive effect on our 8yr old son. We were looking for something that would not only help his confidence but help with his strength and coordination due to conditions of hyper mobility and Dyspraxia. Martial Arts Burton perfectly caters for our son in this regard. All the staff are very friendly and welcoming and there is very much a family feel when you first walk in. Thank you for very giving our son such a positive first experience of martial arts, we could not rate this facility highly enough. Kind Regards, Tracey Baker

My three year old stared a few weeks ago and looks forward to every lesson! He’s very active and sometimes can be challenging however it’s amazing to see him be able to focus and listen to the instructors. They’re extremely engaging and are very enthusiastic which is great for getting the youngster’s full attention. I’d 100% recommend to anyone thinking of getting their child in to martial arts :)

Martial Arts Burton is a family led business. As soon as we met Master Dean Fern, he put us at ease and answered all our questions. We have a 6yr old son who wanted to start Karate. He is a bit shy and definitely has an issue with listening, but in that first meeting he listened straight away and his confidence rocketed when he tried some of the moves. We signed him up straight away as we could see the atmosphere at the club was supportive and would build his confidence. It is early days, he has only been going for a couple of weeks, but I can see some slight changes in him already. He has got himself ready for school on a couple of occasions before we have even woken up, and he is definitely "trying" things more than before. We are looking forward to seeing him grow in confidence, self discipline and listening skills. For anyone who is not sure whether it is right for them, I would recommend going and speaking face to face with the club, as everyone is very welcoming and encouraging, and I'm sure they will put your concerns to rest. Give it a Try!

I joined martial arts Burton 4 weeks ago, so far the experience has been brilliant everyone has been really friendly and very welcoming. I joined as a way to try and keep fit, but after a short time my mental health has improved and I feel more confident since joining. I have never felt left out of any of my weekly lessons Dean and his team work with everyone individually aswell as a class to really get the best out of every student. I attended my first one to one session on a bit of a whim just thinking try it once, but I was hooked after that first visit. If anyone is looking for a fun way to keep fit then join martial arts Burton

I can’t speak highly enough of the team at Martial Arts Burton. Since my 12 year old daughter joined 4 months ago, she has made good friends, become more confident and disciplined and is really enjoying the values and training. She looks forward to each session, has got new skills and has attained a new belt which gave her a great sense of achievement. I’d definitely recommend starting, whether as a child or an adult. Master Dean and the team are all really welcoming, knowledgeable and professional and it’s a brilliant way of improving your overall fitness.
