I’ll start with the positive the view is amazing and the prices are decent. However, the service and hospitality leaves a lot to be desired especially for an establishment of their caliber. I definitely go once to say I went but I wouldn’t return and spend my money their unless invited. I do have to say the tortilla soup is one of the best I’ve had. I hope their service gets better because for the amount of servers they had to the ratio of tables I shouldn’t have had to hunt down my server or a server.

This hotel is great. It’s location is excellent for sightseeing, transportation, shopping, and eating. It is extremely clean and the rooms are very well decorated. The service was outstanding. We were greeted each time we entered the hotel and the rooms were cleaned nicely each day. Plus, they give COVID test at the hotel for People who need it for entry to the USA. They get five stars from me.

Fantastic accommodations, great location, and tasty food all in one. Stayed 3 nights here. Hotel staff are amazing and they will help you sign up for local tours and other activites. The included food and beverages with your stay are an amazing addition, and their restaurant has one of the best views in CDMX. Absolutely stay here if you can, you wont regret it.

We had a chance to stay in both a regular room and a Jr suite which spoiled us completely .. If you have the extra $50 bucks upgrade to the suite and enjoy some real luxury and a nice view of the Zocalo. We loved the huge bed and the great selection of toiletries. The breakfast is amazing.. You can pick from the excellent buffet or order up from the made to order menu.. It was all delicious and the service was outstanding. The view cannot be beat and plenty of people come from outside the city to enjoy both the cooking and ambiance. Another added bonus is the cafe where you can order beer or hot drinks and snacks on the house.. now that is cool..The doormen were great guys and very helpful chasing down cabs for airport. My only complaint is the terrible TV reception and the lack of CNN International which is odd for such a cosmopolitan hotel...

The rooms are kind of small and not that interesting but the view from the balcony on the zócalo square is superb. Great breakfast as well. The lounge as well as it's own charm.

Ill say this. The staff were perfect. Helpful, kind, went out of their way multiple times. Really great. The included food and amenities were also fantastic. But make sure you take advantage of both of those things because the rooms leave A LOT to be desired. Do not, I repeat, do not spring for the nicer rooms. We got one of their best and it was a bad choice. It overlooked the square which was cool but they put their flashing Christmas lights on that windowsill! They were so bright even with the curtains drawn it kept us up at night. And the room was right below the restaurant and the noises from dragging tables and chairs on wooden floors was like thunder at dawn and dusk. Finally there was a stench so powerful i worried a mouse had died under the bed. Where it was coming from i never found out but these three facts made us spend as much time out of the room as possible.

Wow , this is one of the most luxurious hotels I have ever stayed in . Starting from rooms , comfort , food , room service , views and safety it was all amazing. I’m hoping I can go back and stay here for their Independence Day but I hear this hotel or most hotels locally are fully booked. Also do not miss the early morning views including their free breakfast on the roof top . It can get busy but the food was delicious. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay . Loved my stay here .

An absolute paradise in the heart of the historical center. The staff went above and beyond to assist us and make our stay comfortable. The rooms were very well equipped and the included breakfast was delicious. It is right across the street from the main square and cathedral and and easy walking distance to many of the top tourist attractions and restaurants. Highly recommend!

I cannot possibly say enough about the helpfulness, generosity, and expert level of hospitality at Hotel Zocalo Central. I wish I had each person's name to give deserved credit to these individuals. (You know who you are!) After arriving way past any acceptable arrival time due to circumstances beyond our control, we were given understanding, we were welcomed, and we were helped with provisional parking. Absolutely no complaint from the gentleman in charge. He was so kind to help my daughter with much luggage and offered to help with anything else we needed. perfect location.

This is probably one of the best overall hotel experiences I've ever had! Highly recommend! Great location, right next to the cathedral and national palace, short walk to restaurants and lots of museums. All the staff are really friendly and hard workers.

Excellent hotel and a good value. Great service and close to everything in the historic district. If the location and service weren’t enough, it also provides a 24 hour cafe with drinks (including beer) and sandwiches gratis. Most impressive is the complementary breakfast on the rooftop terrace. Lovely views, and they provide both a buffet and made to order foods. My wife and I ordered an omelet and hot cakes. Both were delicious. A wonderful place to stay in Mexico City.

Would definitely recommend this hotel. Clean and specious rooms that are well appointed. Along with breakfast at their rooftop restaurant, which has the best views of the zocalo and plaza, 24 hr food + beer and wine is included in the room rate at their lobby restaurant. A very convenient location in the heart of the city center. The staff was very helpful and courteous.

This hotel has a lot going for it. And it was a great value especially compared to another hotel I chose on a recent trip. It is right on the plaza and has a lovely upscale terrace restaurant overlooking the square. The food was outstanding (definitely a splurge). My queen room was comfortable though a tad small with decent bedding, a good mattress and a very small TV. There is a 24hr cafe (more of a nook) but it has yummy sandwiches, quality pastries, coffee, beer and wine - complimentary if you are a guest! Bottled water on every floor free of charge. There is no pool as far as I know which didn’t matter since it was a bit chilly. I wish I had booked this place rather than the other one.

Wow! What an absolutely wonderful experience staying here for 5 nights during our honeymoon. Our check-in by Edith was amazing. She was so friendly and helpful. They welcomed us with tequila shots and early check in. The room was awesome and our view of the square was incredible. So happy we stayed here. The breakfast on the roof was delicious, and the mini fridge was included free of charge, as was the Cafe. Loved our stay here

Stayed here for a second time a couple weeks ago and it's one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. The staff is friendly and they have a small bar area that's open 24 hours where you can get snacks and drinks which is really great. The rooms are spacious and clean. And depending on where your room is, you could have a terrific view of the plaza nearby. It's also close to subway stops and has a lot in the area you can walk to easily. High recommend.

My husband and I came out here for day of the dead celebrations and absolutely fell in love with this hotel! It’s so beautiful and so clean. We stayed here for two nights and then stayed at a different hotel for 2 other nights and honestly I wish we would’ve stayed here our entire trip. Breakfast was included with our stay, and it was delicious! The restaurant is located on the rooftop overlooking the zocalo with such a beautiful view! They have a great selection of meals, starting from traditional Mexican meals, to pastries and such. The price was just right and the staff was so welcoming. We felt safe, and enjoyed our time here. The rooms were clean and serviced very well! Will definitely return and stay here anytime in Mexico City!

The hotel is centrally located and close to shopping, restaurants and plaza de la constitution. The service is top-notch from front desk to housekeeping. The hotel has a rooftop restaurant overlooking the plaza called Balcon de Zocalo. The restaurant food and service is amazing. Breakfast is included and offers a buffet or made to order breakfast. All the bread is freshly baked in house. Our reservations was for the smallest rooms available but the room was comfortable and didn't feel cramp with a very soft comfortable bed. Another plus was a cafe open 24/7 that offers hot sandwiches, soup and salads included with the stay. Lastly the hotel also provides free bottle water. We had a awesome stay and highly recommended this hotel.

Really enjoyed our stay here Rooms - one of the most comfortable bed, pillow, and blanket experiences ever. Mattress was firm and the blanket was comfy and heavy. We were outside of the elevators so it was a bit louder than probably other rooms. The AC was also a bit loud but worked very well. Space can be a bit cramped with two and luggage. Hotel amenities - so appreciated! Free water on every floor which was very convenient. There was also a free cafe for the guests with drinks and snacks. This was a life saver when we checked in around 1am without having had dinner. Breakfast access was also delicious with a beautiful view Location can’t be beat to explore the stuff around Zocalo area.

A great place to stay. Loved the view we get from our balcony. The food is amazing. Zócalo has plenty of markets close by so my partner and I really enjoyed it here. Thank you so much for the service, no complaints on our behalf. Great job.

Fantastic hotel in an excellent location. The Zocalo view rooms are wonderful (but beware the rooms with interior-facing windows). Excellent breakfast in the rooftop restaurant with great views. Wonderful staff and good prices.

Well appointed rooms and excellent service. The roof top restaurant above is also great with views of the cathedral and government plaza. Ask for an interior room to avoid the frequently tolling bells.

Excellent option to stay when visiting Mexico City. We spent 4 nights on a vacation trip, we never regretted our decision to stay in this hotel, very good location, very clean and super friendly staff. I would definitely recommend this hotel and it’s restaurant which by the way has an amazing view specially on dinner time

I've stayed 3 times in this hotel when visiting CDMX the staff is super helpful and kind, the rooms are clean and with enough space, the only complaint I have is that you can hear everything outside your room which can be distracting. The restaurant at the rooftop is great, breakfast is super tasty and with plenty of options to choose from. Finally the location is top notch you are in the Zócalo which is close to several attractions like the palacio de bellas artes.

Absolutely excellent! Great location, the roof top where you have breakfast is stunning, try breakfast is very very good, free beer and snacks at the bar in the lobby, and every staff is so helpful and nice. We loved it!!! Only the bedroom was a touch small, but for the amount of time we spent in it it did not make a difference. Excellent place

Wish I could give it 100 🌟 Exceptional in every way - service, food, rooms, location, architecture, decor, amenities, and everything! Breakfasts were fabulous and I will stay here again just for the fabulous breads made and baked at Terrace Restaurant on 6th floor! The French Concha was unforgettable - beginning my Google search for the recipe. Fabulous idea of the Central Cafe - with great menu. Highly highly recommend z thank for a memorable time!

This hotel has been one of our best experiences. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The location is very close to the Plaza de la Constitution and the beautiful old area of Mexico City. We actually came back 3 times we lived it so much. Also, there is a bar/restaurant next to the foyer where most of the food and drinks are complimentary 24 hours. This included Cafe Lattes and Cappuccinos, potato chips, beers, soft drinks, paninis, quesadillas and much more. The view from the rooftop restaurant where breakfast is served is absolutely stunning of the neighboring buildings.

This hotel is stunningly beautiful. As you enter to reception, the style and design is such a clever blend of old and New Mexican art. Every angle is aesthetically thought out. It has been hard to find a hotel like this but so delighted 😀. Had the most scrumptious lunch. What was particular wonderful was being able to watch the chefs in the kitchen through a window. The rooftop restaurant has stunning views over Mexico City. Be advised to book to avoid disappointment. This is the most best hotel I have seen so far in Mexico!!

  • 5/5 Alyssa L. 2 years ago on Google
The room was petite but the bed was so very comfortable after walking many miles. The rooftop restaurant was incredible and offered stunning views of the zocalo below. We also liked having the complimentary water fridge next to the elevator, which was far more convenient than having to visit the convenience store multiple times a day. We will definitely return!

Simply great! We were so happy with the hotel. The staff were very friendly and always treated us very warmly. We would have loved to stay longer! The location of the hotel is perfect. Central and quiet. It was also very clean and the hygiene rules because of Corona were carried out very precisely. The restaurant with its view is simply fantastic. We enjoyed every minute there, as well as the fine and quality food. We highly recommend the hotel!

My first Mexico City trip and this place/location were just perfect. Lots of place were walking distance and felt safe to walk around even at night to see cathedral area. Also Hotel stuff were very polite from morning to evening and they welcome you to this location. ( as well as they will try to serve anyway they can…I forgot the name but guy in front lobby were great!) I would definitely stay this location when I’m visiting and enjoy my stay while in Mexico City! Also another highlight is restaurant on 6th floor; is great view on day or night as date night.

Great location. Beautiful hotel. Very clean. Helpful and friendly staff. Honorable mention: We went in a big group and the staff was wonderful. My son got a little sick from something we ate so we had to head back to the hotel. The staff was kind enough to bring us some broth, crackers, tea and pediatric electrolytes. This made it so that I didn’t have to leave with him to look for these items on our own. He recouped that night and I am forever grateful for their attentiveness and their willingness to help out a mom in need.

Love the hotel! Took off a star because the breakfast area give me and my family a very hard time. Spoke to the front desk and they said the manager was going to contact me, but never heard from anyone.

Great hotel close to city center. Staff is beyond nice and accommodating! Will definitely stay here again

  • 5/5 Chubby Y. 2 years ago on Google
Great location. Right on the heart of the city and yet located on a quiet street. The decor and architecture of the place is fantastic, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Rooms are well sized and comfortable. Restaurant is nice, with great views of the main plaza (Zócalo), and the service is five-star, although better ventilation would be good, as the smell of food is particularly strong as you walk out of the elevator, and your clothes will be smelling after you leave the restaurant. The cafe in the lobby is a nice addition because it is included in your rate. If you are a workout buff you will find the gym too small and disappointing, and to make things worse the only treadmill seems like it has been out of service for a long time, judging for the accumulated dust on it.

  • 5/5 Miguel C. 2 years ago on Google
Extraordinary experience. And today with the closed of the streets because of the holiday, the hotel took care of my transportation to the airport because it was almost impossible for the taxi to come to it. They sent (Jose Luis to walk with me and my wife to find the taxi that they had already program for us and Antonio the driver who was fantastic was already waiting for us. Thanks zocalo hotel, special thanks to Jose Luis!! We will be back next Friday. Best hotel with the best terrace view. Miguel and Lupe.

Exceptional service, very nice, clean interior. It’s embarrassing how good this hotel makes most hotels in America look so run down and bad. Cannot recommend this hotel enough, truly phenomenal!

  • 1/5 Matthew G. 2 years ago on Google
Hotel rooms are nice but the service is terrible. Literally nothing can be billed to room (food, drinks, taxis, airport shuttle, concierge services, coffee, water). There is no room service. Restaurant opens late and closes early. No effort made to accommodate basic guest service requests. No manager ever seems to be on duty. On multiple occasions attempted to use hotel to hail taxi cab, even giving 45 minutes notice, hotel could never accomplish this simple task. No reason to settle for such poor service in a city with many good hotels.

  • 5/5 Vince C. 2 years ago on Google
Excellent experience, staff are very helpful and professional. Comfortable rooms and vibe is contemporary mixed with a bit of history. The cafe is a great touch with decent food and drink. The restaurant and staff on the upper floor are top notch, overall very good breakfast buffet with solid well cooked offerings. You can definitely tell that the breakfast is not just there for guests, but that patrons outside of the hotel frequent the restaurant and go for the food. All around excellent experience, views and location can't be beat!

Great hotel, awesome location and decoration in the public spaces. The staff was also very attentive. Also, nice breakfast with a great view. However, it's extremely expensive for mexican standards, the rooms are super tiny and the bathroom door doesn't close properly, with all the intimacy issues that follow.

Great location, right next to the cathedral and national palace, short walk to restaurants and lots of museums. All the staff are really friendly and most speak English well. 7 nights staying. What I liked: - The location and the restaurant are amazing (the restaurant runs separately though, but everything related to the restaurant was perfect: the view, the service, the food). What I did not like: - The rooms are incredibly small - The shower head is not mobile and it is installed close to the ceiling. The shower cabin is small, so if you are not a tall person, the water will fall only on your head. It is difficult to take a shower in that place. - The service is mediocre. The staff is nice when it comes to basic service, but they can't handle more complex issues. Eg: the cleaning staff took something from my room, I flagged it to the front desk, it took almost two days to receive it back. The next day, the cleaning staff took it again! - They recommend us a taxi from the airport. It was 5 (!!) times more expensive than an Uber. - An aspect more related to the location and infrastructure than to the hotel itself, but important to be mentioned: there are cockroaches in the bathrooms and the whole area stinks! The hotel rooms, the corridors, the streets - the smell of drainage and rubbish it's strong and disturbing! I don't recommend this place for more than one night.

The hotel staff is amazing and so is the experience. A huge plus is the free 24*7 snack bar where you could get a free snack, drink, fruits etc. the full day. The only downside was the room is a bit dark and the shower is terrible.

Beautiful hotel inside and out. Excellent service. This is located in the historical center, which adds so much more to the charm and experience of the hotel. The rooms though they can be a little small, they are still wonderfully comfortable. We didn't spend much time in the room, so we weren't concerned with how big the room was. Beautiful hardwood floors throughout the room. Very quiet rooms, even for being so close to very populated areas. The shower/bathroom in our room was definitely the only con we found at this hotel. It was too small. I'm short so the shower water hit me right in the face the entire time, we could not move the head to get it any lower. My partner is tall and he at least got water to hit his chest. Because of the small shower and him being tall, the water flowed out of the shower onto the bathroom floor often. As for the breakfast included from the restaurant upstairs, it was lovely. After a few days it did get old. However, you can order off a menu for an additional charge. The juices were fresh and delicious. The pastries were also very nice with coffee or hot chocolate. But the view is spectacular. So even if you don't want the breakfast stop up to see the view in the morning, you won't be disappointed. Another wonderful perk is the 24/7 Cafe in the lobby. It was so nice to be able to get pastries, coke, water, coffee, small sandwiches and other snacks for free all night. We did utilize the gym, it was very small. At one point there were 3 people using it and it was very hard, but we managed. Overall, this hotel was an excellent find! It's very central and surrounded by beautiful buildings, along with shopping such as Nike, Zara, h&m, and other shops. Would highly recommend staying here, even if just for a few nights.

A+++. I have never stayed in such a friendly, accommodating hotel. my family and I are well traveled and we experienced the staff go above and beyond. they were gracious to arrange in-room Covid tests, offered group tours, and someone even went to the local pharmacy to pick up medication for my family. the hotel itself is centrally located to many tourist attractions and walking distance to stores/restaurants, etc. along with the beautiful decor and balcony restaurant, it would be hard to find something comparable within this price range. Please don't be shy tipping staff, they don't get enough credit! Anyone for the first time in Mexico city, look no further!

I have to start with the lovely staff, everyone is so warm & welcoming . Their service is world class 👏🏾 . I see strong women working in many departments in the hotel, I sincerely thank the hiring team & patron 👍🏾🙏🏾 The team is lead by fierce lady Cinthya . Edith, Raul , Monse , & Roselia are so lovely. even a fire alarm went off in the middle of the night for multiple hotels, their staff handled it very well 👍🏾 They have incredible breakfast , included in the room rate . Their coffee is amazing , also included in the room rate. OK enough from me 😁 go experience the outstanding hospitality.
