I’ve been to this museum many times and it used to be one of my favorites. Not anymore. I find it completely outrageous that they can’t call what is happening in Palestine for what it is… a genocide. It is completely irrelevant that the owners are Jewish, it is necessary to say tho that they are Zionists and enablers of violence. The name of this museum should change to “selective memory and tolerance”.

Really glad we visited this museum which was only a few minutes walk from the Hilton Mexico City reforma and cost 125 pesos per adult which included an audio guide that was in English. Would highly recommend using the audio if can’t speak/read Spanish as none of the text is in English or translated. Thought provoking, an important reminder and also just very well done. Enjoyed the visit and would recommend going. Didn’t take loads of pictures as for us more about being present but plenty to see.

There is no doubt that the museum is well funded and modern. However, I was sad to realize how biased and politically influenced it was. Specifically, they did not provide any information about the Stalin's genocide (Holodomor, 1932-1933). When I asked why they overlooked 4 million Ukrainian deaths, the staff (who was clearly familiar with the topic) told me that the administration is very sensitive about what they classify as genocide. This puzzled me at first. But over the course of my travels in Mexico, I realized how the country's politics are aligned with communism and Russia both historically and today.

We enjoyed our visit, and learned a few things. The museum heavily emphasizes the Holocaust, and spends less time on other genocides. The tolerance part was a valuable addition.

I’ve been to similar museums before in non-Spanish speaking countries and I would have loved to see more text translations as I don’t speak Spanish. But it is fine because I guess I’m not part of the target audience ;)

An amazing experience. The climate stuff was plain American propaganda although beautifully presented. Which tells you it's value as propaganda. Which also tells you that the Jewish piece of the museum was amazing and touching. But not propaganda and it is a must visit as the art rivals any Museum in the world.

Traveling through the museum is a profound experience. Every human being must go. You will be changed forever and for the better. You will learn about the Jewish holocaust as well as many other genocides throughout history and around the world.

Visiting this museo is like a punch in the gut when you’re reminded that ‘never again’ has always been an empty promise. genocide-like activity continues into the present and foreign governments rarely risk significant amounts of their own people and political capital to stop genocides in faraway countries, and are always inclined to turn away refugees as culturally/economically undesirable. Nevertheless it’s important to have these places so people (especially young people) understand the circumstances that bring about these events so there can be hope to change this in the future. They have brought a railcar that carried Jewish people and rebuilt it inside the museum; standing in that was the most powerful moment for me personally

Luckily I can read Spanish because it is basically just a museum of text and only in Spanish. The group tours were also all in Spanish. I know that I am in Mexico and should speak better Spanish but, I dunno, I've just never been to a museum that didn't offer an English translation. I guess I was just a bit surprised is all.

If any museum in existence has a purpose, it's to educate anyone that walks it's halls. This one in particular emphasizes the importance of learning from past mistakes, how we let atrocities be carried even when they could have been prevented. There is also an exhibit highlighting the abuse against woman, allowing our youth to continue to grow with a poor education in regards to equality.

(Translated by Google) The experience that this museum transmits to you is unforgettable. It treats the subject of memory in a very respectful way, since its subject is genocides. I think that considering how morbid our society has become, with a great naturalization of some phenomena of violence in the media, this space becomes a call to position ourselves ethically when faced with this type of spectacle. Personally, I recommend your visit, especially as it is a well-built museum, with a clear message and worthwhile exhibits.

The Museum can give you a lot of peace. It can help you to become aware of duty and responsibility to society. During the tour, its exhibitions make you feel what some people lived years ago and you have to reflect on the importance of human existence. You should visit it, if you want to reconnect with your human essence, could you remember your true purpose as a person. It makes you think about our actions, about how we treat others and what we are doing with our lives. The feeling of peace, joy and love is great and comfortable.

I cannot recommend this museum enough! I've recently been to a similar exhibition in Santiago and Lima and this is probably the best. It's got so much content and everything is laid out in a very easy flow to the visitor. Admission fee starts at 90 pesos (around 18 dollars - mar/19) for an unguided tour.

Great museum, very important topics. The holocaust takes up around 80 % of the exhibition. I would have wished much more info on the lesser well known genocides such as the one on Darfur and Guatemala. After seeing all the misery, it was needed and good to end on a more positive note, celebrating diversity and tolerance as a way to prevent future such atrocities.

Ref: Ana frank expo is one of the best versions of her story told that I have seen including in Amsterdam. Do not miss this expo. The guides are extremely knowledgeable and tell her story woth so much passion and heartfelt that everyone in the room can feel her story. I brought my 11 year old daughter and she left fascinated with Ana frank as well. Make sure to see this while it’s here as it’s only a temporary expo!

(Translated by Google) The best or at least one of the best museums in CDMX. Very complete, with unique pieces and extremely wide. You can go on your own or pay a little more for the guided tour. The museum generally deals with the time of the Holocaust. If you know a bit about the subject, it is advisable to go on your part, since the guide advances with a certain speed and does not allow you to appreciate the details or read the reviews. Otherwise, you can buy that type of ticket.

The exhibition is highly qualitative, insightful and interesting. The museum and its stories are really intense. I appreciated the « reflection room » at the end, being able to sit down and process everything I saw. And how I could make a tiny difference promoting peace and tolerance around me. Highly recommend this museum.

One of the most amazing museums I've ever visited. The information is so detailed, the ambient and decoration are the best to make you feel the vibe the museum is supposed to communicate. The original Polish train car is one of the most awesome and disturbing things I've ever seen. It's a must to really make conscience. Probably not very attractive for kids under 13. Besides the location couldn't be better. I totally loved it!!

This was a tough one. And also one I’m glad I made myself do, especially with the world as it is, again. I left feeling moved, a bit fatigued, but also more motivated to take whatever steps I can to make a difference. The museum is laid out to create an experience, and indeed, it does. We can’t let this all repeat again and yet, we see it forming…again, tough but necessary visit.

(Translated by Google) It is very positive that this museum exists. We must have memory, we must have tolerance. He who does not know his history is condemned to repeat it. Other museums nurture us in knowledge, this museum nurtures you in values. One is no longer the same leaving here. Anyone open and even motivated by self-reflection will be deeply moved here. Half of the museum is about the holocaust, the rest is about different genocides, another room about current minorities, various rooms, finally information about foundations that are making a difference. When I went in September-2019 there was a very good temporary exhibition on Gandhi. There are group guided tours that are scheduled in advance. However, you also have the option of renting a very good audio guide. To go through this museum thoroughly it could take up to a whole day, there are many rooms and each one can be a lot of reflection. Follow them on their facebook page, they have very good content.
