Please be advise that this is a hospital that has no ethics or morals they will take advantage of your situation especially if you are a foreigner their means of helping a patient unfortunately isn’t what we here in the USA would define as ethical my advice to any who come here is document everything and save your receipts they will try to con their way to overcharge you and don’t have their billing department in order one tells you one thing and another employees tells you otherwise. They might say I should be thankful that they accepted my mother as a patient but as my mother died in their lobby they refused to assist us until We could secure a 5k usd deposit to think all these medical professionals looking at our mother crying for help but they wouldn’t help unless they could secure a deposit we felt hopeless long story short to all foreigners please be safe and if you don’t understand ask someone who does don’t trust their word seek help from your own insurance in advising you how to work with them.

Highly recommend this hospital as a tourist. While the majority of staff do not speak English, they were all incredibly kind and willing to work with me to ensure we understood what the other person was saying. I felt privileged to be under the care of Dr. Rafael. His bedside manner was textbook - he explained in detail why and how he was conducting his examination, and made sure I fully understood my treatment plan prior to leaving. Doesn’t hurt to use google translate, but it’s clear the people here care.

I had emergency appendectomy. Great doctors.. wonderful hospital. Food is better off the menu.

Came in from Zihuatanejo with emergency acute appendicitis which had ruptured along starting to split the large intestine it had attached itself to. Highly skilled surgeon operated on what turned out to be a complex surgery and results were great, as was the care I got for the next 3 days. A week after discharge, things are better than what the circumstances would have suggested were possible. The pricing for everything we received was very reasonable. Why the 1 star? The billing department tried to commit fraud by trying collect the total from me, assuring me that I could collect from the insurance company. Then they they bill the insurance company who pays them as well, which would have left me with no reimbursement. How do I know this wasn't just a misunderstanding? Because we caught them in one lie after another. My wife spent three hours in the phone with Allianz making sure every box was checked. Allianz even managed an emergency bill review in one hour. Eventually I paid my deductible and left. Allianz is investigating the incident and their relationship with this hospital. Bottom line: document everything with this hospital. Push back if something doesn't seem right. And after this, we highly recommend Allianz World Care for international health insurance.

Good service but way too expensive

Came from another country for specialized treatment. It has been wonderful everything has worked out perfect for me. I appreciate that they are always there and available no matter what. I need to say "Thank You so much Dr. Tenorio."
