What can I say? This might be the only Balkan restaurant in all of Mexico City. The food is great, especially the 1 kg of parillada. I highly recommend ordering either the 1 kg or 2 kg option because you get to try out a lot of different meats and flavors. Coffee was great, desserts too, and make sure to get Ajvar with your order and rakija.

I was in Serbia a couple weeks ago and this place is totally worth it! Balkan food is so good, very healthy and protein packed. The desserts are notable in this place and they also sell Turkish coffee and tea. Definitely recommended 🇷🇸

Had the smoked bacon burger; where it is ground and used in patty construction as well as filling it with cheese. Tried to be healthier and went with a side salad rather than fries, a nice option. Salad was good. Burger was ok; but think I'd prefer my bacon separate. Wasn't the biggest fan of this particular burger consistency and wonder about some others; although if I head back down there again I am more likely to try one of the Balkan specialty dishes.

Saw this spot when I was on the bus and I had to check it out. Tried the paprika dish and also a meat dish. The charcuterie plate was amazing. Service was good. I chatted with the owner and he seems to really care about the quality of the food that’s served. Wasn’t getting bugged constantly but also not forgotten. I only wish I’d asked for a little more salt. I’d come by and try some more stuff since it’s in a nice safe area.

Such an amazing place. The owner runs it with so much love for his food. We shared some dishes: Serbian soup, Greek salad, pasta with Gorgonzola and Medovnik dessert. Thank you D. for the amazing food, I will be back for sure.

As someone who grew up in Sarajevo, I’m always curious about ćevapi in places where you’d least expect them. Balkan Grill did not disappoint! The service is top notch and staff is warm, attentive and knowledgeable. The food was fantastic, they really captured all of the essential flavours, including a great house ajvar. They even have rakija! As a bonus, they have an awesome soundtrack of ex-Yugoslavian classics and the nostalgic vintage decor. I’ll definitely be back!

Great place for authentic Balkan burgers. Great service, high quality ingredients and nice location. Highly recommend it. I got the shopska salad and original burger. My wife got the bbq ribs and everything was fantastic. Finished it off with baklava and great Turkish coffee just like my grandma makes. All in all my serbian grandma would approve of the food and that says a lot.

Update November 2022: (2 stars) We visited the place 1.5 months later, and everything had changed. First of all the bread that they used to serve was delicious, now it just tastes like a standard Mexican bolillo. Before they used to give out sauces, this time we had to ask for more sauce and charged 25 pesos for it (only found out at payment). Food quantity decreased. Dessert is still okay but not at the level from 2 months ago. The staff is nice but they didn't really seem like they knew what they were doing. Really disappointing because we thought we had found a local gem. I probably won't go back. September 2022: (5 star review) We recently moved into the neighborhood and this is now going to be our local favorite. Great hamburgers, amazing desserts with good, generous portion - to an extent we had to cut the hambúrguer in half and take the other half home. Great vibe too!

Mega experience! The salad (Sopska) as well as the food (Cevapi) were freshly prepared and mega delicious! To top it off, there was a homemade Rakija. Absolutely recommended, best food in Mexico so far.

This place was delicious and the personnel is super attentive, we met the Serbian owner while we were there and he was very hospitable and friendly. I am Bosnian and with confidence I will say that this is some of the best Balkan food I’ve had in or out of the Balkans. Ćevapi are my favorite, super juicy and well seasoned. I take my hat off to the cooks! Sarma and stuffed peppers were superb and even the smoked meat, do you smoke it yourselves? Everything I’ve had here so far has been impressive, including the desserts. Prices are more than fair. I will keep coming back. The service is wonderful, friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you so much for bringing a little bit home to Mexico City!

The food is fantastic! It is actually pretty authentic - the burgers taste like they were made in Serbia. The same with the specialties, traditional Serbian dishes. Darko, the owner, is very friendly and he always tries to make his customers happy.

Best goulash in town. Cevapi are way better than a few years ago.
