We loved this theme park Fun music and themed lands We went just before Halloween - so many great photo opportunities across the different lands Great rides and shows too! We stayed in the PortAventura Hotel. The pool was mostly always empty. Wear good footwear as there's a lot of walking. Buffet options were great as well, lots of variety to choose from

An amazing Theme park that caters for all ages. One of our favourite holiday destinations which never disappoints. The park is very clean, the staff are friendly and the rides are brilliant! The huge bonus is the lovely sunny weather that we've enjoyed each year we've visited. 10 out of 10.

Myself, partner and our four children (6-8) came here on a rainy day in August! The water was cold and there was no sun to warm us up, so we spent most of the day very cold! But going on a rainy day meant there were no queues for the slides. We went on the slides many times and did all enjoy ourselves, minus being cold. There is a lot of walking about to do outdoors, so if I returned I'd bring beach shoes. The lockers are expensive but keep your items safe. We left our towels and drink bottles out of the lockers and took them around with us and left them on a lounger near the slides we would go on. Annoying you can't take your phone on any slides but I hid mine in my towel pile and it stayed safe! The food was pricey, but we had some chips to share and they were very tasty! But small portion for the price. There were plenty of toilets about, which was handy for the children. Overall, it was a good day apart from the cold weather. But I guess if it was hot and sunny, we would have had less rides on the slides and had to wait about in queues for long time.

I have been in Port Aventura many times in my life and with the current covid 19 situation it is completely awful. The organisation does not control times properly, so the waiting lines are longer (sometimes even 3 times) than what is stated. Also no fountains, with the heat... And water prices are through the roof. I won't consider coming again until things are stabilised or the park improves its operation (even with the pandemic) to provide better service.

Endless waiting. Just to park we waited one hour. For every ride at least one hour wait in the best case. Don’t go if you don’t plan to buy the express ticket and maybe find a way to come without a car. Not organized at all compared to all other European parks I visited. Once you pay for the express lane, it is a wonderful park (except the parking). I do recommend to not come with a car (there is public transportation). There are many activities to fill in at least 2 days.

Truly amazing park with a lot of different attractions for children and adults! There are amazing rollercoasters, water attractions, authentic parks and atmosphere. The ticket price is worth it if you arrive at the morning and visit most of the attractions. Keep in mind that there is a lot of waiting for every single amusement. I waited 2 and a half hours for the Ferrari rollercoaster. But it is definitely worth it

Really enjoyed visiting this park, we went early and stayed the whole day before going into Ferrari Land later on. Kids enjoyed the end of day parade and we would definitely return if we were in the area again. Food reasonably price and tasted good and toilets were scattered throughout the park at regular intervals.

Went here for a family day, 9 of us in our group (6 adults, 2 kiddies & 1 toddler). We all had the best day ever and really enjoyed ourselves. Not a bad word to say about the place, would definitely go back again!

Absolutely brilliant place. Fab rides. Prepare to get soaked on 3 rides. Great for adults and kids. Little short on disabled signage but we managed to figure it out. From our hotel we can go in and out at our leisure. The parade is great followed by fireworks. Get a place early as it gets super busy spectator wise. Absolutely love it here.

Amazing theme park! Great shows, attractions and food! Staff can sometimes let it down, unfortunately! We went for 3 days (myself and fiancée) and had plenty to do and see! The app is also great for planning ahead with shows!

Great fun, amazing rides, definitely worth to pay €40 on the express way. We had the most fun of the trip in the park, you definitely need more than one day to enjoy all the options. Buy the tickets in the Website they're cheaper. We pay €53 only for the PortAventura park, but the best ride F1 Ferrari and the Aqua park is a separate. The queues are over 1 hour, the express way its worth because you literally skip everyone and you can go in all the options if you have only one day. It has lota of food options and the park inside its very well done. 😊 love it. I would definitely go back.

Second year there. Got the night ticket again. Cheaper and you have the park from 5-1030pm. It’s cooler and the lines are shorter. Short taxi ride from Sanquli / Cambrils resorts. Great rides / coasters for adults. The Wild West area is very good for adults and kids. The Sesame Street area is average for kids, a lot of rides the kids couldn’t use for height restrictions which was a problem. The parade at the end of the night was fantastic. The have buggies to rent single and double. They are great for kids up to 10 who get tired from walking. The only down side like most parks. The food was absolutely horrendous in the Wild West area.

Genuinely a fantastic experience, although I can’t imagine how insane the waiting times are during the peak seasons as I visited over a weekend in February perhaps a fast pass is a must buy during mid term breaks and over the summer. The best theme park in Europe with some incredible rides.

Nice roller coasters but very long lines. Express pass ultra recommended if you wanna ride more than a couple attractions. Wanted to visit the new Uncharted ride and couldn’t because it closed 90 minutes before the actual park closing time.

Excellent park, with lots of fun and different kind of amusements, for all tastes and ages. For those who like roller coasters, it's very good. It fills up a lot, but being outdoor and quite big, it's possible to keep the distance. It is worth buying the express ticket for at least one day, as there are lines that go from 30m to almost 2h waiting. Coming back for sure!

If you like amusement parks, GO THERE 😆😆, there's so much to do. If you plan well your day, you could be able to ride a lot of attractions and roller-coasters. I recommend to bring water and some food, since everything is very expensive. Unless you are going to the water park, don't wear sandals or anything that could easily get off your feet.

I stayed 2 nights in Gold River hotel located inside the Park. Hotel is just amazing. Seems you are in the far west centuries ago. Everything is perfectly designed and comfortable. Apart from that, we had half board which was amazing buffet plenty of different kinds of food and tasty. Besides that, for the 2 nights we had included access to the park 3 different days (check in day and check out day), plus 1 entrance to Ferrari land, all for 627€ for 3 people. Great price and amazing experience

Incredible park with amazing thrill rides. Food prices in the park are fantastic! I'm used to the extortionate prices in UK parks and Florida parks, so this was so refreshing to see! Only improve would be refillable cups that can be self filled at stations. Very clean and helpful staff. Loved our time here and would definitely return.

During October the queues are short, and the weather was great. The Portaventura itself was brilliant and caters for all ages. Lots of places to eat and drink and a varied selection of cultures foods. Reasonably priced entrance fees and a great day out.

Bad experience this time. They suddenly start cleaning the attraction without warning people. And they lie on their website about discount for accompanying a person with disability.

Listen, this is an Incredible theme park. Brilliant to be able to visit just after peak season. The express tickets are a must have and you earn your money in no time. If you don't get one you will see three rides and spend all day in lines. If would be great if water fountains were accessible and there was a little more shade, I would suggest a hat and bottle. I will recommend to all of my friends and family.

Been here on a Saturday in September and considering the theme park isn't all that "young" (+ reading the other reviews), our expectations were so-so, but we were definitely impressed. The park aged very well; all of the attractions, the facilities and the embelishments are being seriously taken care of and looked after, we never had the feeling that the entrance fee was unfairly priced for the overall experience. The place was packed, but more than 2/3 of the people wore their mask while strolling through the park, and almost everybody did so while queuing up for the rides themselves, which actually is surprisingly good, considering the rest of the places we've visited. The usual waiting times varied between 30-90 minutes, and given the fact that you have to also eat at least once, it is nearly impossible to ride everything in 8-10 hours. By the way, do not make the mistake of eating during the normal lunch hours (1-4 PM), as you'll be standing in line for at least another 40 minutes. All of the dine-ins and snack bars were open by 1 PM and closed sometime before 9 PM, from what we could tell. Obviously, high prices for food and drinks, but nothing out of the ordinary for such a park. Great atmosphere, will be sure to revisit. Final thoughts: definitely worth it!

Very enjoyable place with lots of attractions and good rides! Only negative was the amount of smokers especially in the heavy heat, it made it so uncomfortable especially in the queues! Also signage could be improved on for directions, I found it a nightmare when I decided to leave the park & after a long day the high heat, it can be quite disorienting for someone not used to the layout. I would highly advise buying a 2 day ticket which allows you entry into Ferrari Land and Portaventura on day 1 and a further entry into Portventura for day 2. I did however find them to be flexible as I went to Portaventura on day 1 & when I came back 3 days later (you have to use the tickets within 4days after first visit), they allowed me entry into Ferrari Land and subsequently Portaventura. I would advise staying in the Portaventura hotel though, in my case I stayed nearby in the H10 hotel but I found alot of nightlife when I was exiting at 10pm & I wished I stayed in the hotels within the park, also I think you get free access to the Park if staying in the hotel (You have to confirm this). Shambala ride was fantastic but mind you, if you have massive thighs, you might not fit as the mechanism doesn't shut completely. I managed to go once & the second time they couldn't get it shut and almost broke my ''Balls'' trying to get it sealed... I got off and didn't even bother challenging it as I was in mega distress from the crushing impact on the ''Balls'' loollll. I'll definitely visit again as I loved this park.

Love this park. Range of rides is excellent. Value for money was incredible. My family of 3 bought the 2 days for price of one offer. So worked out to be only about £20 each per day. Unbelievable! My 8 year old loved the coasters. Especially Stampida and Tomahawk. Park is very clean and well laid out. Can can show was good too. Recommended!

Expensive food on site, fizzy drinks are over €3 each. Some excellent rides on site, and the grounds are very well kept. Get tickets in advance. Consider the express ticket, it'll save hours of queueing over the course of a day. Some excellent shows available. We took the evening ticket. Beware, some rides close earlier and some good venues close so you will have fewer options if you get this ticket.

I recently visited PortAventura, and I have to say that I was thoroughly impressed. The park is incredibly green, with lots of water features that add to the overall ambiance. I imagine it would be quite comfortable to explore on a hot day. There are plenty of rides and attractions for both kids and adults, although if you've been to some of the newer theme parks, you might find some of the rides here to be a bit slower and less thrilling. Nonetheless, I still highly recommend visiting PortAventura, particularly for its selection of water rides that are perfect for cooling off in the heat. One downside, however, is that the dryers after water rides only accept cash, and since I didn't have any on me, I had to dry off in the sun! Overall, though, I had a great time and would definitely come back. Additionally, I should mention that we managed to visit two parks in one day - PortAventura and Ferrari. While there weren't many rides at Ferrari, the queues were incredibly long. By the time we got there, we were already quite tired, and we only managed to go on one ride. I would recommend splitting your visit over two days, as it can be quite tiring to try and fit everything into one day. Overall, though, it was a fun experience, and I would definitely recommend visiting both parks if you have the time.

Had a wonderful time in the park lots to do and see . only had time to do some of the rides. Definitely need a few days here to get around it all . Lots of walking. felt very safe and friendly. Went back one evening to ferrari land and that was good . We had late evening meal at the sports dinner next to the entrance and the food was very good. And we walked back into town after it took about 15 minutes.

At this time of year (November) the queues are very short to nonexistent. All but the water rides are open. Landscaping is impeccable and the staff are very accommodating to non-Spanish speakers. The food is pricey and the taste is not reflected in that price, if you have the ability to leave the park to get food, I would recommend doing so. The park has a lot for children to do, don't let the large rollercoasters on the posters put you off, during peak they seem to have a lot of shows to enjoy to there are plenty of ways to mix down time into your trip. For all of you traveling to this part of Spain, this time of year, it is jeans and T-shirt weather during the day and hoodie/jumper weather in the early morning and evening, night time you might want to wear a thin jacket.

Beautiful park, well themed, great rides and services. Some problems with direction as areas are not easy to find. Overall operations of rides could be better, avg wait time for half full queues seemed to be longer than expected. You will need at least 2 days in the park for a full experience so make sure to take advantage of any multi day passes that may be available to you.

Good theme park, and quite large. Was very quiet when went October during week, so all rides went on had less than 5 min wait. Some of the bigger rides are not ‘fluffy’ or tall person friendly. I am 5 ft 7 and the leg room on Stampida was tiny. Did not even attempt Shambhala due to previous reviews advising if over a size 16, you wont fit. Also found that quite a few of the rides were closed (china area especially) which was quite disappointing. Sesame Street land is really good for little and big kids! Water rides were great, we did get soaked, but dried off quite quickly in the Sun. Park was also decorated for Halloween which was really nice.

We went on an none busy time and it was perfect as cues were shortened to 30 mins and less for rides. There is lots of walking in this park so mark sure to wear comfortable footwear, lots to do but be careful of child height as not all rides suit them. Tickets can be a bit pricey for a family but all rides as far as I seen was free once inside the park

The best theme park in Europe, no doubt! Amazing rides, great decorations and shows, just an awesome experience :) The themed hotels are great too, I totally recommend staying at least 1 night there to enjoy the full experience. I put 4 stars instead of 5 because I think they have work to do with food. Gluten free foods are widely available, but vegan options are generally lacking. In most places they have vegetarian burgers. In some restaurants they have vegan ones, but you really have to explore and get out your way to be able to get vegan food. That being said, I still think it's worth the visit. If you love extreme rides, these ones are a must: Furious Baco, Dragon Khan, Shambala, Hurakan Condor, Stampida.

  • 4/5 Hector M. 3 years ago on Google

I went to the park last week and everything went well. Covid standards minimally complied with. But there were also not many people in the park (15 September). This is my 3 rd visit to the Park and I found there were some closed attractions, however it is always worth a visit.

It's fun but not well organized. Everything is pay for. 12 euros for parking is a rip off. Some nice attractions but more for children than there is for adults. The shows are great.

Great place for kids and adults as well. What I did not like was the queueing system. You can buy a pass to get to an express line but at almost every line (normal or express) there was "queue jumpers". People just don't respect queues in here, just pass through the line.

Been to the park end of October. The weather was perfect. The park was very, very busy. School holidays in France and loads of Spanish visitors make it very crowded. Fast pass is a must. Waiting times up to 2 - 2.5 hours without fast pass. Three day park ticket with combination to visit Ferrari Land enough to get on all the rides and see all the shows.

Beautifully done theme park. We made the mistake of going on a weekend when tickets were half price but it really is a lovely place to visit. If you want to get on all the rides, be prepared to fork the extra for express passes.

I would have given 5 stars.....but I am cutting 1 star just because of the way they are managing this beautiful, wonderful & amazing place. Its a complete mismanagement... if they have place for 1000 clients they are allowing 5000 clients. For one ride people are investing 3 to 4 hours....a complete waste of time and hard earned money. I have seen sad faces of young crowd & disappointed families. It's a very very 😥 sad thing. Otherwise its a wonderfully wonderful place.

Wonderful theme park! What a blast! The rollercoasters were amazing and super fun ☺️ There’s something for everyone/ every level of excitement - highly recommend staying at one of the theme park resorts so you can come early and leave late 🙌🏻 The only qualm I had (which is consistent amongst most theme parks) is the price and lack of quality in some of the food items offered (even hot dogs tasted bad). Arcades and game stalls are also available! We loved taking the train around the theme park to get a quick view of every “region” too 🚂

Too long queue sometimes. One of the rides took me 3 hours of waiting, because technical reasons. But it was fun. Dragon khan made me so dizzy.

This place is amazing so many rides shows and food outlets and places to chill if you don't want to ride on the rides! One thing I would say if your plus size and by that I mean anything bigger than a UK size 16 most of the big rides you won't be able to go on. The safety bars don't leave a lot of room and are made for smaller people.

This park is amazing. The theming is beautiful and the attractions are very good. the waiting time doesn't quite match what's on the boards, but they're usually not too bad. best attraction in my opinion is the shambala. Furius baco is also very good. overall a very good park!

A great theme park, with enough rides to keep you busy for an entire day. Various intensity levels, diverse experiences and beautifully themed areas. The queues however were quite long and the express tickets very expensive - in general the prices are quite high inside the park.

The park is great fun. I recommend getting fast passes if possible or the queue might get very very long There is 3 parks Water Park and Ferrari land can easily be done in 1 day with quick passes. The rest of the park its good to plan for at least one day The food in the park is not good at all.. avoid it if possible.... Get all you can eat or go to Salou to visit a restaurant.

A really nice amusement park. With beautiful nature. The rides are great, but the older ones are getting a bit rough. Staff is friendly, but operations a bit slow.

We have visited here now six times and each time we have a great time. The prices are very reasonable and there is a multitude of attractions for everyone in your group. I am a fan of rollercoasters and they have some really cool ones here, each with their own little thing which sets them apart from the others. For the first time we went to the live shows and I was well impressed with these as well. We will definitely be back again as in my opinion it's on the same level as Disney Paris, but with more reasonable prices.

One of the best parks in Europe. The only gripe I have with PortAventura is the operations on coasters; it can take forever. Coupled with the constant queue jumping, fast passes are a necessity to fully enjoy the park.

We had a great day at PortAventura World. It was our first visit. The park tickets are good value but book in advance to get cheaper tickets (even the day before you go). We went on a Monday and it was still very busy! Remember to take plenty of water, there are refill taps at every toilets but they aren't really designed to refill bottles. The queues can be long and parts not in the shade so can be very warm so make sure to take plenty of suncream +/- a hat. The rides are fun, some of them don't have places to store items so you have to take bags with you. Some of the rides aren't great for larger people. I am not small don't get me wrong but I am a UK size 20 so not massive either, but because my weight tends to be mostly hips and thighs this meant I couldn't get on some of the rides. Not riding isn't the issue it would be better to have a seat at the start of the queue to test to see if you can fit before queueing. There were larger gentleman than myself who managed to get on just because of their weight being more on their bellies than thighs and hips. Overall we had a great day and the theming of each section of the park is brilliant.

Just spent a couple of days here. This is an amazing park, albeit the queues at certain times can be a little exhausting, especially in the heat of the sun. We opted to spend the money on the fast track passes so that we didn't spend most of our days in the queue and we had no regrets. We managed all the large rides with the max wait time of 10minutes whilst the main queue was sitting at over an hour. This is a must if you gonon a busy day and want to make the most of it, yes it cost more but if you make the most of it during your day it balances itself put and we did. You do alot of walking about this park but there are outlets for food and drink everywhere and as any themepark the cost is a little steep for food and drinks, they could do with free water refill stations about the park as I did see one but it was operational. They have many shows throughout the park which if you can fit them in it is recommend as these are brilliant. We love the bird show and the bang bang west along with the Polynesian evening fire show. The evening park show on the lake is still great and a must watch at least once whilst visiting. If its a hot day and you fancy getting a little (or alot) wet get on the River Flume and Tutuki spalsh as these do not dissapoint.

It was lovely to visit. I enjoyed most of the ride. There's lot of queue to get on the rides. We spent hours waiting for our turn. We ended up paying for expres tickets for one of the rides as the queue was insane and it was getting pretty late. Its probably best to visit during the weekday

Been here 15 years ago and it was brilliant then. Here again and its been absolutely amazing!!! The park is so good with something for everyone. Lucky for us, we caught the Halloween 🎃 theme and parade this time.

Quite a decent amusement park with a big variety of rollercoasters and other attractions, but the lines are incredible. You need to wait for about two hours to get to most of the rollercoaster. I cannot imagine how long the lines are in summer.

Greatest Theme Park in Spain, and one of the top in Europe imo. Great variety of attractions for all ages and thrills. Today's park operations went smoothly despite the high wind conditions. Not many stoppages and high waiting times. On average I reckon there was like 45 min of wait time, much less during the evening and much more in the morning. A good range of food choices with ranging prices for a main dish from 8€ to 18€, depending on table service, autoservice or fast pickup stalls and food type. Not the cheapest place to have a meal but for a theme park very adequate prices.
