Fantastic restaurant that is absolutely perfect to celebrate that special occasion or just to impress on a romantic date night! The cocktails are well crafted and definitely save room for dessert here. If you're up for the more delicate fare, the bone marrow is divine! Steaks are made to perfection and are full of such flavor! The outdoor seating is a nice touch and beautiful at sunset as it suts over the river. Definitely recommend this place even just for drinks as their bourbon menu is fire 🔥!

Went for a date night during Labor Day weekend, we intentionally chose an earlier reservation time. Glad we did as we ended up with amazing service from Chris (we dig his mustache by the way). Started at the bar right before our reservation time with some cocktails, both were great! Once at our table we immediately ordered the corn bread (chef’s kiss), so good. We followed by ordering a bottle of red wine, which was expertly poured by Chris. My boyfriend got the swordfish which he loved, I got the bleu Caesar; for sides we shared the crispy potatoes and the Mac and cheese. When I tell you we talked about the Mac and cheese almost the whole ride home, I’m not exaggerating. We’re positive there are drugs mixed in - it’s that good. Get 3 of them if you go. We took some Oreo cheesecake to go for dessert and that didn’t disappoint either. We could’ve stopped eating, but the pain was worth it to have such amazing flavorful food. Will definitely be going again, and probably bring family members. Ask for Chris: he’s attentive but doesn’t hover, great conversation, gave good recommendations!

This place right here is amazing! From the host, to the waitress, very friendly staff and waitress was attentive. If you like tasty, buttery like steak then this is your place. Had the NY Strip, Brussel sprouts and Mca and cheese. As appetizers we had the corn bread and some kind of rolled shrimp(don't remember the name). I'm sure whatever you pick you won't be disappointed.

we came here today for our 7 year anniversary and the service and food was amazing! the place looks super nice from the inside. they started us off with some champagne and it was so good! we got the beef onion soup to share and we loved it! we also shared the tomahawk steak with brussels sprouts and baked sweet potato as our sides. everything was absolutely delicious, those brussels sprouts were the best things ever!!! we ended dinner with the Oreo cheesecake. i’d come here again!

Food was pretty good. Some standard southern brunch options but surprisingly no chicken and waffles/hot cakes or shrimp and grits. The Buffalo cauliflower was good, I’ve been before and it’s been better. It was undercooked today (crunchy and not crispy as the menu states) so I sent it back. It came back and was better but still not crispy as if it were made in a cast iron. All preference I guess. I think it just tasted like cauliflower and Buffalo sauce, no seasonings or much on the cauliflower. The salad was good, presentation was intriguing. The hot chicken sandwich was also pretty tasty, it wasn’t saucy — it just came with the sauce under the chicken which was preferable. The presentation looked rushed though. The picture attached is how it came out. The grass fed burger, I did not try but my husband said it was flavorful and tender. A nice texture add was the shredded fried potato. Overall it was good, ambience is cute. I felt there weren’t that many options, the only seafood dish was a shrimp appetizer.

Went for dinner and had a great experience! Service was wonderful and food was pretty good. Love the variety in the menu and there were so many things I wanted to try so will definitely be back. Got the cornbread to start and it was delicious. For the entree, we got the fried chicken, mac and cheese, and broccoli. Everything was good but the fried chicken and mac and cheese were somewhat underwhelming. Super basic fried chicken with little spices/flavor but it was cooked well and still tasted alright. They had a more creamy mac and cheese vs a sharp cheesy flavor so it didn’t stand out much to me. Overall, it was good and I’m looking forward to trying the rest of the menu!

Wonderful dining experience, my husband and I enjoyed if not loved this place, great for a romantic getaway dinner. Or even just a quick bite to eat. This is the place to go to. Waitress Michelle was also wonderful always assuming the sell!! That's how you do it!she made the experience just as much as the food did!

I give them 5 stars for everything; taste of food, portions and service. It did get a little loud towards the end being that the restaurant is located inside Armature works. But we enjoyed our friend’s birthday dinner. So much meat and cooked to perfection. The southern flare shines with delicious corn bread and grits, pork belly etc. highly recommend for all steak lovers. 👍🏻

Went to dinner for a date night, I had the grouper on a bed of tomato based rice with spicy andouille sausage. It was so flavorful and on point. The medium rare sirloin steak was cooked to perfection with a side of sweet potato that’s tasted more like a dessert! Sat at the bar for dinner and the bartender was sweet and she gave us a great service!

Great casual restaurant located in Amateur Works. The smell of smokiness will immediately put you in the mood for a unique and flavorful menu. I highly recommend the Short Rib mezze, the mac and cheese, and the New Orleans style shrimp n grits.

Only went for dessert and drinks. But wow what a dessert. Had their ores cheesecake and it was massive. Also had an espresso martini that I wish had a little bit of some cream liquor in it. Other wise it’s a true espresso martini and not sweet. Great service made me regret not eating dinner there. Definitely a great spot for dinner/date/ drinks. Can’t go wrong with this place.

This restaurant is excellent. Great for a date night or with a group. The location is great, you can access it from outside so you don’t have to actually enter Armature Works. Outside seating is first come first serve. The menu options are narrow in scope but still present a myriad of options. The wine list is decent and the bourbon list is exhaustive. The food did take longer than expected and they acknowledged that, but the entire staff from the hostess, server, manager, and others were friendly and courteous. The food itself was really good. I’m going back just for the fried chicken. The serving sizes are fairly large, so you can get away with a couple of appetizers and a shared meal if you want. The place is on the pricier side though, so be prepared to spend over $100.

Brunch and cocktails were amazing - one of the best brunch experiences we've ever had. Can't wait to return!

Hi! Last night, my fiancé and I celebrated our engagement by having dinner at our absolute favorite restaurant, Steelbach. It is so hard to find an excellent steakhouse who can cook your steak to perfection every visit, have delicious sides to pair with, and also create an elegant intimate atmosphere. Steelbach was all of that for us, until last night. The reservation was made with notes that we had just gotten engaged that very morning, but yet they sat us in the noisiest part of the restaurant, right next to the kitchen. Right away, I was thrown off by the lack of consideration, but the complimentary glass of champagne and our amazing server completely made up for it. We ordered the same steaks and sides that we always do because it’s our favorite meal and we were so excited to dig in after a fun-filled day. Sitting next to the kitchen, I observed many plates getting sent back to the kitchen and the expo area acting completely dysfunctional the entire night. Even our table next to us had their steak sent back 3 times! I was getting worried about our meal. Finally, an hour and a half into our dining experience, we received our food. We both ordered medium temperatures, one steak came out medium well/well and the other was rare/medium rare. This was extremely disappointing to us, but at least both steaks were taken off the check (without the manager even coming over to apologize). I am not sure what was going on with the kitchen last night, but I sure do hope they take the constructive criticism from all the sent back food and get better! For now, my fiancé and I will be looking for a new favorite steakhouse.

It is evening on a late summer’s day; a cool breeze whispers from the river as we approached the restaurant. Carried on the its movement a scent of carefully cultivated wood grill notes. The atmosphere was lively but not intrusive, we sat at the neat, covered outdoor dining area. Our server, Nathan was friendly, humorous, and knowledgeable of the menu. He provided detailed recommendations for cocktails, while another server brought us glasses of water to the table. The hostess lowered shear screen to block some of the light from the setting sun. The rum old fashioned and amaretto sour were flavorful and well crafted. We ordered 3 shares to start and 3 entrees. Brussel sprouts, sweet potatoes, and Mac and cheese. All were delicious and we speculated which was better but it was difficult to decide. The entrees were duck, lamb, and tenderloin. All cooked to the exact temperature specifications and brimming with flavor. We had been to the brunch and we are delighted to experience the dinner and the whole experience delivered with excellence.

The food was delicious! Our waitress Michelle was fantastic, she was very familiar with the menu and made sure we made all the right decisions to have a finger licking experience all while being gracious, personable and funny. We were also helped by Nicolas who was very informative, honest and friendly. 10/10. Great food and great staff. Definitely give it a try if you’re in the area. Try the mushroom dish in the picture I attached! It goes very well with steaks.

I just want to say all the good things about our experience at Steelbach! Our food was delicious, the drinks were heavenly and our bartender and then waitress were attentive, kind and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

Don’t miss out on one of the best brunch spots in Tampa. My friends and I came for brunch and loved every part of the experience and food. We sat at the bar and had Hunter wait on us. He was attentive and efficient all while still making craft cocktails and mimosas for guests. I had the southern breakfast - delicious. The eggs, biscuits and fried green tomatoes were done perfectly. The bacon could have been crispier in my opinion, but then again, I enjoy bacon basically burnt. We also had the mimosa flight and monkey bread. The mimosas were a unique combo that we enjoyed. The peach/orange was definitely the favorite with the cucumber refresher as a close second.

This!!! I cant even begin to explain how good this was !!! We had MICHELLE as our waitress and EVERY Recommendation she made was AMAZING!! i got lamb chops they were fantastic The margaritas were great in the south treated you very well it's a must go.

All around amazing culinary experience from the time we stepped in the door. We had reservations and were greeted and seated by hostess promptly. Our server, Stevie was very polite, educated on the menu, gave great recommendations and attentive and accommodating. She was training a new server, Caroline who was just as cordial and attentive. The food and drinks were excellent. Pork belly Benedict was delicious! The outdoor seating for Sunday brunch cannot be beat!

First time ever trying Steelbach and overall really satisfied. Michelle our server was the best part. Very knowledgeable and open about all our different menu item questions. She was amazing! We ordered the baby gem salad and she had it split for us, very tasty and the pickled mango was so interesting (in a good way). The Black grouper was delicious and not fishy at all. My husband got the filet… it was good as well but nothing special in our opinion. It said 8oz but honestly it seemed quite a bit smaller (ordered it medium rare) so it shouldn’t have shrunk that much. Mac & Cheese was our favorite! Cooked to perfection and absolutely scrumptious. The extra dirty martini I ordered was perfect too! I’d love to check this place out again for lunch/ brunch but it’s a little steep for dinner unless it’s a special occasion.

Excellent food and drinks. Our server was very knowledgeable, He was able to recommend drinks and also food dishes and was able to explain how they paired together. I got the duck Brest which was fantastic and would definitely get again. Atmosphere can get a little loud during dinner but overall we had a great dinner! Would definitely like to come back.

Nothing but good things to say about my experience at Steelbach. I got the Avocado and Fennel salad topped with shrimp and it was amazing. Another person in our party got the steak and eggs and said it was fantastic. Another got the french toast and ate every last bite. The service was excellent! Great environment!

Really great place. Service was awesome, food was good, loved the ambiance. After you're done eating you can go take a walk on the boardwalk they have or get more drinks at the bars outside. But Steelbach itself was a great experience....please do yourself a favor and try the biscuits and gravy. It was soooo good. Try a couple of their cocktails as well and you won't regret it. I recommend to everyone, you will not regret it. We came for Brunch and it was definitely worth it. Only thing I would say is that their "spices" chicken sandwich wasn't spicy at all. But nothing else was bad. Great and awesome spot. Coming back soon

Very nice brunch place. Restaurant environment is very welcoming. Specially if you are going with a group of friends/family members. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Portions are generous but could improve in having some extra flavor and variety in their brunch menu. The mimosa flight is was good however, imo brown sugar orange mimosa was the best. Orders were substituted with French fries instead of breakfast potatoes.

Nice place for late lunch. I had the Shrimp and Grits, nice flavor. My companion had the Steak Sammie on Ciabatta bread which we thought it was too much bread and not enough steak, proportions were way off. The Onion Soup was fabulous and we used the Ciabatta to get the last drop of soup, so bread didn’t go to waste! They also make a good Whiskey Sour, using fresh squeezed for the sour mix. Staff were very attentive from the moment we stepped in.

I’m not familiar with restaurants such as these where the $30 chicken is just $30 chicken and if you want sides those are extra. But alas $100 later I’m still happy I came here. Ordered the chicken, Mac and cheese, collards and my friend had the fish over rice. I think the fish was a bit unimpressive but everything else was phenomenal. Macaroni and cheese and greens were by far the best I’ve had in Florida.

One of the cornerstone restaurants at Armature Works, Steelback has great natural lighting, a spacious dining room and pleasant staff. The food while very good did not hit the 5 star mark for me. The skillet salmon was excellent as was the grouper po boy. The steak sandwich was very light on steak and heavy on bread. My shrimp and grits was tasty but lacked the flavor profile I look for in that dish. Others are bound to like it, who don't have my bias. It's definitely worth the visit. I like some of the items on the dinner menu which I could not get at lunch. The whole Armature daytime ambiance is always fantastic.

Very great environment, the seating area is really good. The waiter was amazing she gave all the recommendations and was very friendly. The food , was great , well seasoned and juicy. We had dessert was ok , but not as good as the meal. Starters was great , the Mac abs cheese was really good! I will definitely recommend and will be coming back anytime I’m in Tampa.
