Good experience. The frog legs were good. The fish was cooked perfectly(not dry or fishy flavor). The onion rings were fresh and all the sides were hot! The food was a little salty but not enough to displease the palate. The dessert was excellent, you must try the buttermilk pie with ice cream. 🤤

The soft shell crabs are great. Battered and fried to order. We added the barbecue shrimp sauce to them it was great addition. The crab claws and barbecue shrimp are both delicious. Best dirty martini in town. The bartender Riley went the extra mile and hand stuffed the olives with Blue cheese. We will be back!

My husband and I came to Natchitoches for an overnight get away and ate at Mayeaux’s for dinner! I cannot say enough how impressed we were with this place! It was absolutely DELICIOUS. We live over an hour away but it’s WELL worth the drive to come down to eat here. I’m already trying to figure out when we’ll come back!

After a terrible experience at another establishment down the street we decided to give this a try. It was all very good, both the food and service. And when they found out it was my birthday they gave me the buttermilk pie for free!

Food was delicious, service was attentive, and drinks were top notch! You are going to spend 50+ for a steak, but it is worth every penny! The meat was tender, cooked to perfection, and sides were delicious! Atmosphere is great for a romantic date night!

I can’t say enough about this place. Best steak I’ve ever eaten! It’s not just the food that brings us back. It’s the owner walking around greeting everyone like family, the bartender that remembers us from months ago, the cooks that make sure you got your steak the way you wanted it. The entire place thrives on customer service. We decided to go for lunch today and I have to say, don’t count out the hamburger at a seafood restaurant like most do. This was by far the best hamburger and onion rings we’ve ever had!!!

They had a 45 minute wait with no reservations, but the breeze off the Cane River made it a pleasant one on a bench outside. Blackened catfish was amazing, the steak was delicious. Had a slight miss with the fried crawfish (too much batter for the tail size), but the etouffee was good. On the pricey side, $10+ drinks, but worth the wait. Wait staff was prompt considering that the restaurant was consistently full. It was loud, but not enough to prevent conversation, the seats were comfortable for the 90 minutes we spent eating. Food took a bit longer than I would like, but again, it was more than acceptable for how busy it was. We will be returning, all in all a nice evening.

This was a fantastic restaurant experience! The food was wonderful, and the service was great. The breading on the fried catfish was crispy and perfectly tasty. The mixed drinks were also good. My husband had the frog legs. While that is not my "cup of tea", he enjoyed them. The restaurant felt much larger than it was. They did a wonderful job on the decor.
