I moved here in 2021 when it was under the Marquette property management. Had no complaints for the first year. I was about to renew for a second year but thank goodness I didn’t. The building has a mouse problem which lead to me finding two mice in my cabinet. I was not an unclean tenant. As it gets cold, mice migrate in the walls of the building and a building that size I imagine is hard to eliminate rodents. I could hear them scratching and running around in the walls. It is very hard to reach someone in the office. If I needed something, I just walk in there. The mail room is nuts. It took me 15-20 mins to find my packages at times. They began to charge for parking for the first car which I think is ridiculous.. especially since there are literally no other places for us to park so no getting out of that. We pay for valet trash and they only collect one trash bag so I had to go to the dumpster anyways. That was a waste. The garbage around the building and dumpsters is disgusting. They are understaffed for maintenance and at one time only had two maintenance men for that large building. I’m saddened and disappointed to have left. At one point I was very comfortable and loved being at CityView. I think it’s extremely overpriced for what you get.

I have been at this property for 9 years and I hate to report that is has gone very down hill. My major complaint is that the office does not take care of issues reported by tenants and it is not a priority. I have next door neighbors that are loud on their balcony in the middle of the night constantly which is affecting my sleep, have reported it many times and nothing is done. My next step will be to have to involve the police. Last time I checked violating quiet hours is a violation of the lease. The office simply does not care. That’s just the beginning. Tenants leave trash all over the garage and property, and if there is a maintenance request it takes over a week to get completed. Very disappointed in the lack of responsibility the office shows for their tenants; especially for the price of the units.

My mother and I lived here for nearly 3 years. We moved out around July. In the beginning, it was such a great place to live. Everything was smooth and we never complained. The former management was amazing and everyone at the front desk was so kind. I am absolutely, by no means, exaggerating when I say that when the Hayman company took over, everything went down hill. It was a struggle to get Maintenance to follow through. The apartment hallways always looked like a mess. Garbage used to be convenient, but they changed the amount of garbage they could pick up to: one bag per week. That’s just dumb. I’d have to haul everything else down to the dumpsters. Dog waste trash cans were ALWAYS overflowing. Oh, and fire alarms always went off nearly once a week. That totally messed up our sleeping schedules. Worst of all, the front desk people were terrible with communication. Kimberly was rude and did not care for us when my mother had inquiries. The people there rarely ever picked up the phone. When Francisco would answer, he sounded clueless and just did not care enough. Kimberly refused to talk to my mother when they overcharged her for rent. She quite literally sat in her office the entire time, while Francisco would go back and forth between her and my mother to communicate what she was saying and what Kimberly wanted to say. It was crazy because her door was open and we could hear her attitude loud and clear. I don’t understand why she made it 10x more difficult instead of talking to my mother face to face. But of course, she magically appeared out of her office when another tenant needed help. This was at the time when we had already moved out and our lease was over. Another red flag: this year, car parts (mainly catalytic converters) were stolen in the middle of the night. My mom was apart of that whole ordeal. The garage was supposed to be safe and used to keep us from harm. Thank god we had car insurance. Crazy enough, they didn’t have security cameras in the garage. Only on the inside of the entrance. So basically, they were never able to find out who stole car parts from everyone. They said they were going to build a gate to the building to prevent this: never did. They also introduced a car parking fee. I never understood why that became a thing. It would’ve made sense if we were paying for our safety (that gate would’ve been nice), but no. A one bedroom, which is all my mother and I could afford, was way too overpriced for what we got. They upped our rent eventually and that was definitely just ONE of the MANY MANY reasons why we left. There are a ton of other things wrong with this place, but I’ve already written a full essay here. Thankfully, we realized that we were paying for absolutely nothing in return and staying at that place was just a waste of money. We’ve moved into a new place that has a wonderful community, personality, the kindest maintenance and leasing staff, and a way bigger and affordable place to live. P.S. Reading through the other reviews gave me a good laugh. Glad to know that a LOT of other people felt the same way. Hope this review helps you find another place that can meet your expectations!

So I must say, when I initially moved in city view last December I was having a whirlwind of problems. Unfortunately the buildings prior management up and walked out. Well, that changed all because Mrs.Kimberly Basley, I came in the office as a new tenant, very and I mean very hostile and aggitated and she assessed the situation and when everyone else in the office looked clueless what to do and help. She grabbed me and pulled me in her office calmed me down by re assuring me things will be taken care of and not did she only say she would. She did. If it wasn’t for Kim I would not of stayed at city view the whole year and she’s been a pleasure and honestly a blessing to have at city view. So thank you Kim and I thank you for the year I spent here. -TJ

The property itself is very well kept and maintained. The assistant manager Kim basley goes above and beyond for the property as well as the residents. Any time my aunt needs anything done , Kim handles it in a timely manner. 10/10 would recommend

Only giving the 5 starts because of the assistant manager Kimberly and how extremely helpful she’s been with all our issues. Including going out of her why and handling problems that are outside of her job description. She always replies to our emails and ensures that she’s going to do whatever she can to make sure our issues are resolved. Also want to acknowledge how amazing the maintenance employee Anthony is.

Kimberly Basley the assistant manager does a great job. There was an issue with a tenant and she immediate took care of it. I would refer Kimberly and management any time. Maintenance also does a great job with repairs!
