We’ve been patients of the Smart Institute’s for a going on three years now. My husband and I have been able to avoid knee surgery and remedy other would-be serious issues with the help of Dr. Vogt. Their practice keeps on the edge of research and offers non invasive modalities that are effective for joint & ligament treatment. After talking more with Dr. Vogt, I learned the practice also keeps a close eye on effective, safe treatments in other countries and strives to be first-adopters in the US. Which is amazing! 20/10! So grateful to have found Dr. Vogt and his wonderful staff. So far, I have seen marked improvements in chronic (5+ year) neck and shoulder pains after 4 EMTT + shockwave therapy sessions. It took only one session to feel relief. I’d compare 1 session of shockwave therapy to a 6 hour deep tissue massage. It’s truly miraculous and my favorite modality of treatment; and I have tried dozens over the years. Moreover, Dr. Vogt has also been the only practitioner to have found- out of a dozen others- a musculoskeletal problem that has been contributing to various impediments in my movement. He referred me to other, appropriate adjunct care with this new diagnosis. This comprehensive level of care and treatment has tremendously improved my quality of life. … The SMART institute has been recommended to everyone within an earshot of me.

Dr Vogt took the time to check out my knee and find a treatment other than surgery. I had knee surgery on my left knee on the advise of a doctor who did not explore my options. Dr Vogt after my x-rays explored physical therapy and gel treatments on my knee to relieve my pain. I am very happy with my care so far and would highly recommend Dr Vogt

Grateful! That's the first word that comes to mind after finding and visiting Dr. Vogt. I was referred to the SMaRT Institute by my chiropractor and a friend. Everything thing they said was true and more! He took such time to LISTEN to my son's complaints of pain. He really studied the WHOLE situation, not just the isolated pain point. He offered several SOLUTIONS that really made a huge impact on my child's injury and we left there knowing that we had found the only orthopedic Dr. we ever need to see. Dr Vogt is wise, kind, professional, and knowledgeable. His staff is friendly and went out of their way to get us in as soon as possible. I'm so grateful to have found a Dr that looks at the body as a whole and then works to help make it better, without throwing pills or possible surgery at it. I went to to see Dr. Vogt to get a second opinion on my shoulder. I was amazed at how much time he spent with me! He really took the time to show me what my problem was on the sonogram, and explain to me my options. He was also very friendly and personable. I can tell he really cares for his patients! I would highly recommend Dr. Vogt to anyone!

Staff is friendly, organized and helpful. Dr Vogt is exceptionally detailed and thorough in his exam, testing and learning about your issue. His approach seems to be to give you what the options are— what he would suggest initially and alternatives if that doesn’t work. It is obvious that he is passionate about what he does and trying to solve patients issues without surgical interventions.

I was referred to Dr Hunnius by my physical therapist in January 2020. I had severe tears to my tendons in both of my elbows also know as tennis elbow. I did not know much about Plasma injections and Dr Hunnius took time to explain everything to me. Prior to meeting Dr Hunnius I looked into many options including surgery. I elected to do the plasma injections and it was the best decision of my life. I did 2 rounds of injections and now feel better than I have in more than 2 years! This is not a quick fix like a cortisone shot that just masks the pain, this repaired and healed my injury. Dr Hunnius was absolutely fantastic and his knowledge is amazing. I would recommend him to anyone!
