I wanted to love our stay here, as the Grand Geneva has been on my bucket list- but there were so many disappointments. The bad: Firstly, the most disappointing experience was the spa. The area where you change into your robes and are able to enjoy the tub, sauna, steam room, etc, were filthy. I have never seen a spa so dirty! The pool that you are able to use was in awful shape, it is clear they haven’t put much effort into maintaining it. The room you’re able to lounge in and enjoy a cup of tea in was not as bad, but all the mugs were chipped and had stains. Nothing felt clean in the entire spa. The attendances were not friendly either. The massage itself was okay, nothing special. Both massage therapists we had were so incredibly kind and personable, they were the only good out of the whole experience. I was so incredibly disappointed in the amount of money we paid for the experience. Pictures attached are from the whole spa experience. Second, I had booked a package for a king bed and champagne. Once we checked in, we were on the very end of the hotel, keep in mind this was maybe a 15 min walk? We arrived in our room and it was two queens. We had a dinner reservation but rushed to the front desk, they told us they would get back to us after dinner. They ended up bumping us up to a nicer room, which was lovely. They did not put the champagne that was included in our package in the room. The ladies at the front desk were pleasant- but this whole experience was stressful and move the luggage was not fun. The good: The steakhouse had great views and our waiter was very friendly. The food was okay, it was definitely a one and done. The outdoor pool is lovely. The fountains are beautiful. Overall, I don’t think I would stay here again. Maybe if I got a great deal, but I will not visit the spa again. Still can’t believe the conditions of the spa area!

The Grand Geneva Resort & Spa is a beautiful establishment. We stayed overnight for a wedding reception. Everything was great. Our room was amazing with a fantastic view from the balcony. The food was delicious. The steak was done perfectly and so tender. The staff was incredible, always helpful and smiling. The next morning we were up early walking and searching for a cup of coffee. There is a coffee maker in the room but that's not my thing. Nothing was open yet but one of the staff in the lobby offered to check the kitchen for us. They didn't have any ready either but it was the thought that counts. We waited 30 minutes for the Starbucks shop to open. We had a great experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Disclaimer: this is not a review the Grand Geneva as a Hotel but as a Holiday Lights destination. The Hotel and surrounding estate is located in the countryside with a long winding driveway to the main building. Along the driveway, the path is beautifully decorated with outdoor lights set up in the grass, trees and on the lamp posts. Parking is limited once you reach the top of the hill where the main hotel building is located. Around the main campus is intrically decorated trees and a massive tree at the entrance. This outdoor section is perfect for holiday portraits! The inside of the hotel is equally beautiful especially around the holiday season. The hotel is fully decked with trees, lights, and figurines. Another great reason to visit during the holiday season is the Gingerbread Contest. The hotel has on display dozens of handcrafted gingerbread dioramas from varying age groups. You can do the drive thru lights and look at the inside decor for free! You do not need to be a guest at the resort to enjoy these beautiful decorations. The hotel is conveniently located a quick drive to downtown Lake Geneva where the shopping, restaurant and lake is located.

My family went for thanksgiving brunch — which was an absolutely appalling $85 per head. While we hadn’t realized the price in advance (our mistake), we would have been happy for the experience had the experience not been basically just the slightest hair above what you’d expect from a free continental breakfast at some mid-priced chain hotel, say, a Hilton Garden Inn. The selections were *incredibly* limited and the actual quality of the food was ridiculously average. Most of the selections in the metal trays weren’t even hot…seemed like they’d been sitting out at lukewarm temperatures for hours. The service was fine. It was overall an absolutely enormous disappointment given the exorbitant price for the extremely limited, deeply subpar selections. You’d be better off going to a Cracker Barrel …. And probably save about $600 for a party of 7 while you’re at it.

My wife and I spent the past weekend at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa. When we turned off highway, we drove along a scenic winding road for almost four minutes before we reached the building. I walked into the spacious lobby to check in and greeted with an authentic antler chandelier. I am a retired service member, and they offered a military discount, making the room very affordable. Our room was great and had everything we needed. We went there for the fantastic fireworks show and it did not disappoint. As I drove away from the resort, my wife and I agreed we must come back and stay longer in order to take advantage of more of the amenities offered.

An amazing place to chill, relax and recharge yourself. The location is very beautiful, rooms are modern and very comfy and have everything you need for a good stay. The service is great, you feel how they care and want to make your stay really pleasant. The only minus (but it was a minus for us) most restaurants work until 10pm, I believe one works until 11 pm. We spent about 30 min to realize that there is no place open, so we can't eat there... and we had to go and eat outside the Resort. But anyway, we enjoyed our stay there and for sure will come again!

So the only complaint is there was no mini table in the room, but tbh we grabbed the small table from the patio and made it work. The rooms were so amazing, the bar needs some work on service, but as a whole this resort did amazing! They had a scavenger hunt you can do so my wife and I had a blast! Their location is perfect as everything is so close! Definitely try their Italian restaurant you will not be disappointed! Loved it!

The holiday inn condos are really nice. Rooms spacious and decorated very nicely. Kitchen is well equipped. Resort has an excellent wellness center. It is a little bit of a hike, and with temp at 12 degrees I opted to drive. Dinner at the Chop House was excellant.

We had a great time celebrating the holidays at the grand geneva! The resort is decorated beautifully. My kids got to write letters to Santa and meet him and Mrs Claus. Adam in valet was very helpful and kept our whole group laughing!
