Bryan McMahon is an excellent physical therapist with keen observation, an achievable plan, lots of encouragement and quick wit. Bryan designed interesting and challenging skill-builders which have greatly improved my balance, range of motion and confidence. The Athletico Willowbrook care team is supportive, fun and authentic. The clinic is truly an enjoyable community of staff and clinic patients. Bravo!

This is my fourth time using PT services at the Willowbrook Facility Each time has been a success for me. My husband and I have both had Dr. Melissa Clark as our therapist. She is an OUTSTANDING therapist and solved both our our issues. She shows care and concern for her patients. More importantly, she demonstrated a tenacity in diagnosing my varied issues and worked hard to resolve them trying new exercises and protocols at every turn. She is an asset to your business and excels in her field.

Aaron and the rest of the staff are awesome! They treated me like I was part of their family there and were very welcoming. I was referred to this location by Dr. Ho at Hinsdale Orthopedics and I am glad he did. I am back to normal from having a broken fibula bone back in March. Yesterday was my last day and I even got a T-shirt! Aaron and the staff would work with me 3 days a week and I would feel great after leaving there every time. I came to the Athletico in Willowbrook with the hopes that they could mitigate my pain while I waited to schedule Neck Surgery. After 3 sessions, my pain was gone and after 12 sessions, I was able to avoid surgery. It has been a month since my last session and I am still pain free. I use the exercises that I was taught during therapy and it has been great. I could not say enough about my Therapist- Jennifer Hong. She is a miracle worker and I am grateful!

Both Aaron and Basil have been excellent in helping with my rehabilitation. Not only do they provide excellent advice and healthcare, but they are polite, kind, and make PT fun. I have worked with them for about 5 months now working through a tough knee injury and they’ve been an incredible help with both therapy sessions, and with providing workouts and stretches I can do at home. Therapy facility and equipment inside is clean and well kept. Couldn’t recommend them, and the facility in general, more!

The team here at the Willowbrook location is amazing! I have been coming here on a weekly basis since August of 2021, and the work they have done to help me improve my health and quality of life has been priceless. I have had the privilege of working with each team member, and they have all worked above and beyond to make every visit welcoming, enjoyable and productive. I tore my ACL back in 2018 and developed severe back and leg pain due to my injury. Kevin and his team helped me for 4 months to get rid of my pain, and prepare me physically for my ACL reconstruction surgery. Thanks to their work and dedication, my operation was super easy and I experienced no pain during recovery. I'm in my 3rd month post-surgery and I am already lightly jogging, exercising and moving freely. I have had no back or leg pain, and I feel like I did before my injury back in 2018. I am so grateful for these guys. It truly feels like walking into a home where everybody knows your name. Regardless of how tired I am, or how early or late I come in, I always look forward to my visit and I leave feeling physically and emotionally better than I came in. Athletico Midtown in Willowbrook is by far the best place to go if you want to be the same person that you were before. I have had 3 experiences with them and they made me accomplish my goals to perfection. I had a terrible TMJ problem, a frozen shoulder and a Labral hip tear in which all were rectified. My favorite people there are Kevin, Bryan and Garrett. And of course the front desk staff are wonderful. Always there to please. You will get one on one attention for the complete session. You will get motivated. You will receive warmth, patience and kindness. They are there to make you whole once again. You will be forever grateful to them for giving you back your independence!

Athletico - Willowbrook - is one of the best physical therapy clinics I have ever visited. For the past three years I have been utilizing the facilities for shoulder, ankle and back issues. The staff is incredibly professional and friendly. The facility is very clean and the support / admin staff is great. I spent most my time working with Melissa Clark and strongly recommend her. She is a fabulous professional and really cares about her patients and their progression. I rank her at the top amongst PTs I have worked with in the past. If you go to Athletico, Willowbrook - you will not be disappointed and for sure request Melissa.

First time falling, fracturing my right femur (driving leg), having surgery and then facing physical therapy at the age of 67! I was down and out after leaving the hospital, but determined to come through strong and it happened after six months at Athletico with the exceptional and professional help from Bryan, Garrett, Kevin, Basil and Mike. Did they work me three times a week, you bet, but I was able to toss out the walker and the cane for walking on my own and driving again!! They worked diligently and patiently with me to make me whole again and I am forever grateful!

I had eight sessions of physical therapy at Willowbrook Athletico during Feb. - March 2022. This was for shoulder and upper arm pain - it was easy to get an appointment on phone and on my first appointment I was welcomed by Basil on reception and met Aaron the physio therapist. He did an excellent analysis of my problem, planned my exercises and started working with me the same day. In eight sessions my pain and discomfort is almost 80 percent less. Aaron, printed out all exercises and advised me on continuing the same at home. All staff there is well trained, experienced and very friendly, all of them helped with each others patients when needed. Most importantly they keep everything clean, follow pandemic guidelines and flexible with scheduling appointments on patient’s convenience I would highly recommend this facility for anyone who need physio therapy.

This was not the first time I visited ATHLETICO MIDTOWN. Through my active years ATHLETICO fixed pulled ligaments, a frozen shoulder and lumbar pain. This amazing team restored my ailing body through gentle manipulations and targeted exercises every time. This summer, I had a TOTAL KNEE REPLACEMENT. ATHLETICO MIDTOWN again restored the strength in my new knee by assigning wonderful and expert Physical Therapists, especially I want to mention Christine and Jessica. Their calm and assuring personality helped me to get over fear and concerns every time I walked in for my session and then after the bi-weekly therapy walked out with a happy and triumphant smile . I highly recommend coming here. I had two different PT's. I had Garrett for a concussion, and I was seeing Jessie Fiala for an impinged shoulder. Both helped me get back to being concussion and pain free!

A year after tearing my plantar fascia, surgery & 3 months of PT at Athletico, I am finally back to walking again w/o pain. Went to athletico for treatment of an anterior compartment syndrome of my left leg. Jessie and the team were fantastic. Appointments were easy to schedule and I was given “at home” activities to do as well as having education and coaching at the clinic. I felt listened to and my treatment goals and concerns were respected. Had a great experience, if I need PT again, I wouldn’t hesitate to go here.

Jessie and other physical therapists at this location are the best. They are attentive and listen to your concerns. I just recently began therapy at Athletico in Willowbrook. I have had PT a number of times, but I never experienced the professional and experienced and educated treatment like I have received with my physical therapist, Aaron. I could not recommend this facility more highly.

Second time in 15 years that I rehabbed lor recovery from total knee replacements. Both times the results were excellent, this time my therapist was Jessie Fiala. We worked together 3 days/ week for an /day for9 weeks. She was sympathetic and simultaneously aggressive in pushing to maximiza results. Always well organizes and fun to work together with her. I highly recommend her.

Very happy with the guidance offered by Aaron Bhagat as I rehabilitated from hip replacement surgery. I went from being unsteady and unsure to confident and strong(-ish) in the six weeks post surgery. Aaron and his colleague's provide an atmosphere which is encouraging and accommodating. Very happy with my experience, now its on me to keep improving!

I had bad knee pain for about six weeks before I finally decide to go to Athletico. I truly felt I may not run again. I worked with Melissa C. and I was on a treadmill in seven visits. I was amazed at how much she helped me. Melissa is great and entire staff was very friendly. Definitely recommend Melissa and this location.

UPDATE TO BELOW REVIEW (Dec 2020): Almost a year after first seeing Bryan at Athletico for PT treatment of vertigo, I had to go back two months ago for a new bout of vertigo. I already knew of Bryan's knowledge and ability related to vertigo, but this bout was particularly bad and long-lasting and he proved yet again how great his abilities are at treating vertigo (BPPV in my case) and he was an immeasurable help - not only in his treatment, but also his attitude and information he provided to help put me at ease and get me through this. I was stressed and depressed as well as dizzy and nauseous throughout the 8-10 sessions we had together, but he took his time and helped me through it and now I feel much better. I even spoke to a doctor specializing in vertigo treatment who confirmed that what Bryan was doing was exactly correct even when I was worried I wouldn't get better and needed more extensive testing and treatment. I'm so glad to say I feel better now and it's almost all thanks to Bryan's care and patience as well as empathy and positive attitude. Thanks to Bryan and Athletico for more great service and care! ORIGINAL REVIEW: Love this Athletico and their PT services! I have used it for knee and back pain working with Melissa and later for vertigo issues with Bryan. I like that they take the time to listen to your issues and give you useful therapies to treat issues as opposed to cracking your back and sending you on your way such that you need to keep coming back to feel better. Their goal is for you to treat you fully such that you can STOP seeing them. Much better philosophy than I've experienced with other PT where it feels like they want you to keep coming back (so they keep getting paid). I've only worked with Melissa and Bryan who are both great, but everyone I've talked with has been nice including the front desk (Kasheena works tirelessly at the front desk and in back helping the PTs) and other staff who help during PT sessions. Helpful, kind, patient, and work with you to get great treatment at convenient times with very easy rescheduling, when needed. And most importantly, with the goal of helping you feel better so you DON'T have to keep coming back. Highly recommend!

I broke my ankle in June, 2020 and had to have surgery to insert a plate and screws and needless to say, had to work very hard to recover. Melissa was there with me the whole time, encouraging me and coaching me. Having experienced Jennifer working with first my left knee and recently my right knee, I am currently reaping the benefits of her PT on the knee. Aaron is fantastic. He's intuitive and knowledgeable. He's a great listener and seems to be quite empathetic. He managed to help me build up strength in my legs and lower back after several years of weakness due to a serious injury to my right ankle and the many surgeries that followed, culminating in a full ankle replacement. Pain is what brought me to Athletico, and while I expect to still have pain because that is the nature of my injury and its after effects, I know that the strength that I have gained with Aaron's help will put me in a good place going forward.

Would love to be able to say something bad about my treatment so that this does not look like a setup; but the simple fact is that my treatment was great from start to "finish". I went in to Athletico with a "bad back", left much improved, including a more functional spine - neck to tail, and actually enjoyed the sessions! My initial visit was prompted by a lower-back muscle strain, so painful that it prevented me from bending to tie my shoes. Athletico's slow, steady, and progressive treatment opened my whole back and spine - including my neck (which was in serious need of treatment also). Now I am back to full, normal movement (for an old guy), with a very doable, and targeted, home-exercise program to help me stay that way. Last, but definitely not least - my therapist was Melissa - both a consummate "pro" and actually a nice person to work with too!

Great operation. They take Physical Therapy seriously. Nothing seems impossible. The staff is friendly and focused on the physical ailment you are there to fix. Brian McMahon and Kevin Savage are excellent and simply the best. They have helped me with back pain, knee pain, hip pain, neck pain and rotator cuff repair surgery. It could not have been better.

This was my second experience with Athletico. The first time was 3 years ago after hip replacement surgery. The staff which included my therapist and PT assistants were knowledgeable and helped me understand the relevance of the exercises and how to perform them correctly. At that time, I could not drive and really appreciated the van service that was provided, Recently, my rheumatologist suggested PT for back pain I was experiencing. I was fortunate to have Kevin Savage for my PT. His care was exemplary. He asked many questions about my pain to determine the best treatment plan. I felt he was an expert in his field. He explained the current research and helped me understand the mechanics of my spine, muscles and how best to manage the pain with exercises. Some were documented from a manual and others were ones that he customized specifically for my individual needs. He continually monitored my progress and would ask me how I viewed my progress. I felt he was compassionate and encouraging. He motivated me to work up towards more repetitions of particular exercises to achieve better balance, Kevin has a great sense of humor and I really enjoyed my sessions. At my last session, he encouraged me to contact him at any time if I feel that my condition has changed or if I had any concerns at all. I feel very fortunate to have had Kevin as my PT. I observed the entire staff engaging with each other and enjoying the work environment. I would highly recommend the Willowbrook North Athletico. I feel I will have a better quality of life going forward.

Melissa Clark was my PT. Accurately diagnosing about my shoulder issue & treated accordingly. I'm 95% back to normal in 8 weeks & avoid unnecessary surgical intervention. Surgery could mean interruption to my work as a dentist for months.

I went to Athletico in Willowbrook after weeks of back pain due to a herniated disk with the goal of avoiding surgery and being able to live a normal life again. Through a combination of Physical Therapy and Dry Needling and Kevin's hard work and high level of expertise I was able to have a successful outcome and resume an active lifestyle pain free. My therapist was Jennifer Gallwas. She was very thorough in assessing my problem which had to do with hamstring pain. My orthopedic MD recommended surgery for a knee replacement or a cortisone injection and therapy. Hence, my coming to Athletico. Jennifer, after day 1 gave me a series of exercises to do every other day and, surprise, my pain disappeared. She continued to instruct me and work on additional ways to keep the pain away. Also suggested exercises to a shoulder problem. Can't say enough about her expert work.
