Beyond terrible experience at MGM National Harbor. So, I am with Danielle in the High Limits room. Danielle is at a machine trying her luck and I am waiting for her favorite game to become available. I am approached by a security guard who tells me to move along if I am not gambling and I explain that I am with my wife and she is gambling. He told me to move on anyway because I am not playing. I moved closer to Danielle and another guard walked up and told me the same and to take a seat. Y'all know me and I didn't take a seat. I approached another staff member to ask for a supervisor and another staff member came over and asked what I wanted. I asked if he was a supervisor and he said that he was not. I asked him why he came over and he said that I was talking to his coworker. I told him that if he couldn't help then I didn't need to speak to him. He told me if I wasn't gambling then I needed to leave. I went and took a seat by Danielle and we moved on after she finished. During the interactions others were in the room and not playing. For some reason these guys were fixated on me. Danielle and I look nothing alike and I know that I was being profiled. I have been standing around for over an hour for someone in charge to address this. I told one guy I spoke with to check the security cameras and he would see that I wasn't lying. I wanted to share this because no one should have to be accosted for doing nothing wrong. Please share this. Worse treatment ever in any public setting. I am so disgusted by what their staff put my wife and I through.

Came for casino experience only as part of a birthday getaway. The GPS directions were a little weird but got us there. Valet parking was prompt & only steps away from the casino entrance. We were carded & then on our way. The atmosphere was lively for early Friday evening, drinks were plentiful, staff was pleasant & helpful, bathrooms were spotless. My girlfriend plays the tables, blackjack & war, while I hit the slots & then joined her later for a $25 minimum war table. The slots were stingy but I managed to hit enough to break even. The tables were about the same, but eventually hit a streak at war & walked away several hundred on the plus side. Some of the dealers seemed new, but no issues. Masks were optional & social distancing wasn't observed. I was thrilled to find this casino is smoke-free! I would return here for sure.

So I can only speak on the Casino and the hotel lobby. Security was pleasant upon entering. I love a casino with a signature scent in the air. The Casino is pretty large with a nice variety of machines. I only wish I saw more drink servers, I sat in a section for at least 30 minutes and did not see a server. The lobby was beautiful, I enjoyed the installation. Will definitely come back to play and hopefully stay next time.

Start with the phrase: WORST CASINO EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!!!! DO NOT GO..... Now that is out of the way. Let me explain. I have gambled all over the country and understand firstly and mostly your not supposed to win. So before anyone thinks that, let me make that clear upfront. This was the worst experience ever, the casino smelled, all waitress were ghost, the cashier was rude and point at me and places I ask about with his middle finger, poor selection of high limits slots, and absolutely the worst play and play back in slot I have ever experienced and that includes bingo halls. I played close to 5k no bonuses worth mentioning and they were 3 of them. I was told I would have to wait and catch the servers/waitress coming out of the back if I wanted a drink or go to the bar and essentially buy a drink if I wanted it fast. It was hot and humid and the place smelled HORRIBLE. It's like every I felt with mostly was in a bad mood or a chip on their shoulder. I truly expected more and thought it would be somewhat fun or relaxing but it was the opposite. Disrespect, felt robbed, hot, and bad experience. Take my money or treat me bad can't be BOTH. Can't speak to table games but good luck but set your standards low if you expect more from bigger casino chain than maybe the smaller ones in your town or state.

The Hotel Casino is very nice inside. We love to take pictures at their beautifully decorated lobby. Their guests rooms are very nice and clean, but everything is very expensive like other hotels in the area. Location wise is perfect. Close to everything. We love to go on Wednesday. They offer 50% off on F&B. The Casino is nice... they have nice machines and gaming tables, but I noticed that when you hit the bonus, it doesn't give you a higher payout like before, it's just a little bit even though I already spent a lot of money. They are also pushing inflation!

I have not stayed at the hotel but have been to several shows inside. The venue is nice and easy to navigate. I feel that all seating options allow you to see the performances well. It's not huge but big enough. There's restaurants right outside the venue that are convenient. Of course, there's the casino inside for those who want to try their luck. The parking is free, and the MGM is close by the National Harbor and access to the interstate, so overall, it's a good location.

I recently visited the MGM casino and was thoroughly impressed. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, and the variety of games available was outstanding. The casino floor was well-designed and easy to navigate. I particularly enjoyed the slot machines, but there were also plenty of table games to choose from. In addition to the gaming, the MGM boasts stunning architecture and decor. The attention to detail in the design was impressive and added to the overall experience. The staff was friendly and helpful, making for an enjoyable visit. Overall, I highly recommend the MGM casino to anyone looking for a fun and entertaining gambling experience. The atmosphere, variety of games, and friendly staff make it a top choice in my book.

Beautiful and clean, but not so easy figuring out parking or how to get to the hotel from parking deck, etc. Minimal signage or instructions and very few attendants. The casino was nice, but unless you have prior experience- you’ll likely have to figure it out on your own. We also had to hunt down server’s for drinks. While there are plenty of restaurants serving lunch and dinner - we could only find one small coffee bar serving a small “breakfast” selection. Next time we will have a better idea how to navigate, but first timers beware.

Location of this hotel is great. Its the tallest building in this area so if you get rooms higher floors then you get better view of the entire city. Awesome views. Room is really good and spacious. Washroom is big . Food is available until night. Good place to go. You can plan for event and stay back In hotel.

This is one of the best concert venues in the area! The parking garages are well lit, clean, and FREE! There is always something going on due to it being right next to the casino, but that just adds to the great and lively atmosphere. The food choices are kinda limited, but there is something for everyone. The staff have been quite pleasant as they efficiently move people in and out of the venue. I can't recommend The Theater inside of the MGM for your next concert experience!

I love the MGM lobby. The holiday displays are amazing. I come here almost every year to take pictures. Being there feels like being on vacation event though I only live 10 minutes away. The casino is nice and clean and smells like vanilla. This is a nice change from the days of smoking at the tables. Service could be better at the bars. I was serviced by a bartender in the Upstairs Lobby Bar that just didn't seem to want to be there.

Nice room with an odd layout. No bathroom door, mattress and foundation were different sizes creating a tripping hazard at the foot of the bed. Modern and clean. Advertised "plush robe and slippers" were nowhere to be found. Casino was great, all our favorite slots. Tables were busy, but always an open space to play.

Firstly, it’s an impressive, aesthetically pleasing establishment overall. I went to attend a concert, & the venue was quite comfortable. It was pleasing to find that the arrangement of the seating was mindfully planned out to provide good viewing from just about every vantage point, no matter the ticket cost. Despite the hectic atmosphere such events can generate, employees conducted themselves patiently & professionally with the patrons. Even the concession lines moved quickly. Overall, it was a great evening & a great venue experience.

Love MGM. Busy place. Plenty of slots, which is what I play. Rooms are large and nice. Once room service noticed I drank coffee, she immediately got extra k-cups for me. Little things, mean a lot. Only downside is during the night, which is when I enjoy playing, little is open. Nothing to eat, Cafe is closed. I have lactose issues, and they do not serve coffee on the floor with more milk choices. They have a great small pizza place, but closed at night. Open the Pizza place and Cafe 24 hours, and I will give you a 5 star on service. Mind you, I go on Sunday evenings. It is busy, so I hope they might reconsider hours of operation. Everyone there is very nice, friendly and customer service orientated. It is a long drive for me. I am getting ready to plan another trip.

My experience was with the casino. It was very busy, I had a little difficulty finding a place to play slots. But I enjoyed my experience. If you see a machine you want to play and the seat is empty and grab it right away because it won't be available later. By the way, I got to the casino from a shuttle bus that runs from my hotel to the casino and to an outlet. I didn't stay at the MGM.

Don't forget to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your hotel. This website will compare hundreds of booking web sites and typically will have rooms a lot cheaper than others! You're welcome :)! This resort is one of the highest rated in the area. I've been coming here for a long time. If you choose this place you will love it I'm sure! This is where I come to when I wanna feel luxurious! 😝 It’s a great spot to spend the day with family. Lots of nice restaurants and bars at night. 🍹🍸 I really like the decorative themes they have close to the Casino 🎰 area and next to one of my favorite restaurants, Ginger. 🍲 There’s also lots of outdoor space to just enjoy the view of the national harbor area. 🎡

It's fine - only go when I have guests in town but of course I lost money - thus my rating 🙃 The facility is very functional - ample parking (remember where you parked) and they have an outside smoking / slot area 🙏 Drink service is not robust. Bar is fine but don't expect anyone to come around - or return w/ your drink - anytime soon

This MGM property is absolutely outstanding when it comes to location, modern design, choices of restaurants and entertainment. The most outstanding feature of this property is it's staff, in particular it's Executive Chef, Johnathan Ofstein. He provided the most outstanding client experience with a specific catering order and went above and beyond to accommodate it within a short period of time. He had a wonderful aura of approachability and great attitude that nothing was too much trouble. He was masterful, along with his team in creating a phenomenal dining experience for his guests at this establishment. I was most impressed!

This review is specific to the casino. Overall the atmosphere is enjoyable but the prices per hand are a little excessive if you’re just looking to have a good night and sit at a table for a little. The lowest table was $50 which would be fine but you’re also paying $12 a drink on top of that.

Nice and clean place with cool decor. There are lots of games with different levels of betting. There is a decent sized poker room as well. Plenty of free parking, but a little confusing. They have some nice shops and restaurants that are very easily accessible from the gaming areas. While I was playing some slots, I would have liked a soda and my wife was interested in a mixed drink. However, the waitresses really did not seem to be interested. It was a Saturday when we were there and I really do not like to complain much. But we were there for hours and not offered a beverage. So we ate at one of the restaurants and it was great. We had a good time and would go there again. But probably on a different day. Also, in my opinion, security had the best customer service skills...

We went for the first time. The shuttle service from the Gaylord and back is excellent. It was very overwhelming trying to find our way around. The lobby is gorgeous and I love the seasonal theme. Definitely very loud and a lot of their minimums are way too high. It definitely feels like you blow through money quick instead of being able to play through a bit. We found a quiet corner to just play some machines. Tables were a bit intimidating. The dealer seemed a bit short that we were new so we left. It's okay if you want a night out and a change of pace. Be prepared to stand in line a while to cash out if you have chips.

I attended a company conference at this hotel. The service is wonderful. The bell desk assisted me quickly upon arrival, effortlessly managing the needs of many guests. The room was spacious and clean. When I forgot my key card and needed to visit the front desk late in the evening, Miriam helped me immediately and with a smile. I learned that we come from the same hometown as she engaged in pleasant conversation with me! I highly recommend this hotel.

I don’t gamble, my family does though. I love the look of this casino, it looks like a ship that’s docked on land! The inside is luxurious. It is always clean when I go, as clean as a casino can be. It is only noisy by the slot machines. The food court has some really good choices. I love that we can use points to buy food! The view outside on the deck with the water fountain and large screen is picturesque and calming. The staff (security mostly) is always friendly and funny, I actually feel pretty safe here. Even in the parking garage, there is always an officer patrolling. 10/10 would recommend visiting even if you don’t gamble. (Not the most child friendly…).

The staff at two of the food and beverage establishments were two really disappointing experiences. Never had that happen in Sparks, Carson City, Reno, Tahoe, Vegas, St. Louis, casino boats Native, or race tracks. So maybe my streak was a great run. That I am very appreciative for. This is my first time at this casino. Some people are awesome and others not so much. The spa staff I met were fabulous. Would have been nice to try more of the restaurants. Looks like the theater would be a great time. It was very clean. Cool art roof top garden, water pools, and LED screen are beautiful. Don't forget to check out all the wonderful things other than the main attractions. They take a bit of time to find throughout the casino. There was another thing that was weird. All the water filter stations to refill your bottle were broken. One barely had a little stream. Would have taken 2 years of standing there. I finally found one by the back exit to the taxi, buses, and shuttles. Even then only the water fountain worked. That tasted really bad. Dumped it. I did not find the late crowd something that I would want to be around. I got a quick bite to eat and left.

I wasn't there for the hotel. I attended a concert. The concert venue was great. It was small which meant the performer was closer to the audience. The staff couldn't have been nicer. Getting to the hotel/casino was the easiest then most of the places I have been. Parking was free and easy to get in and out of.

Lots of Pros, but too many Cons Pros – Love the 5* Staff, Holiday decorations, very clean throughout the whole hotel. Theater is a great place to sit and watch entertainers. Cons – Bad TV in the room, couldn’t move me to another room. Room layout is poor, Sofa in corner not viewable to the TV. No mini fridge or mini microwave. Fake cabinet over the top ¼ of the bed is too low and a head hazard. Minibar is excessively priced, and with most things at this hotel, every single item is jacked up in price. Live TV is limited, they want you to pay for OnDemand or spend money in the Casino. Wasn’t impressed with the high-priced food in the food court. Needs to do better for sure. Carpet area in front of the hotels was dismal, dirty and wrinkles, which are trip hazard for the elderly. Room was not worth the high cost.

We didn't stay at the hotel but the casino was excellent. I liked that there were dividers separating most of the machines. With covid back on the rise it was comforting. Very clean casino. Also ate at the food court & the food was good. The conservatory was very beautiful.

This is a wonderful place, I didn't stay there, but visited the place for free! You can do that and enjoy the internal wonderful decorations and the outside water view revealing the whole Washington dc. By the way, underground parking is free. There are some options to eat there, inside and outside.

This place is one of the best in the area. I have been staying here for a very long time. If you stay for a few days you definitely won't be disappointed. Amazing hotel and casino. Very accessible from Northern Va and most parts of Maryland. Plenty of table games, and poker room is hands down the best on the east coast. Only thing they could improve on is their wait staff, there’s just not enough of them. Apparently it’s tough finding cocktail waitresses, but that’s understandable.

It is an excellent place with a great location seated just 3 minutes from the beautiful National Harbor with its multitude of prestigious shopping and restaurants available for additional fun from sunrise till many hours after sunset, The rooms at the MGM National Harbor are meticulously clean and tastefully furnished, providing the utmost comfort after a long day of exploring the local sights. The panoramic views of the Potomac River from our rooms were simply breathtaking. The room service was prompt, and the staff was courteous, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. We also made use of the various amenities offered by the hotel. The casino was buzzing with energy and excitement, and we appreciated the wide selection of games available. The restaurants within the hotel were exceptional, offering a diverse array of culinary delights that catered to every palate. our group had a wonderful time.

It's very pleasant. :) Rooms are clean, a touch of elegance. Not unique from others on the harbor but nice. There are more affordable places nearby. But this is the only hotel with a casino. Because the staff, amenities and location were top notch, I will give this 5 stars. Check out the restaurants on the Harbor. I'm a seafood lover and I have had some amazing crab cakes around this hotel. I'm not much of a gambler (I stayed because of a special), so I truly enjoyed the surrounding attractions ❤️

Not sure what's going on but it sure has been going down hill lately. Rooms aren't very comfortable or clean. I found a curtain in the bathroom was torn from the holder. Floors weren't vacuumed, and there was zero hand or face soap on counter. We had to pay $35 just to get a crappy dorm refrigerator sent up. We used to win, a lot. But lately, we haven't won in several visits. The only restaurant that is worth a damn is Ginger....we've NEVER had a bad experience there! Great food and huge portions! I'm not sure that we'll go back to be honest.

The Concert venue is really nice. Great sound system All employees we interacted with were extremely kind, patient and helpful. There should be some way to alleviate the long lines at the FOOD COURT. ALSO, RED FLAG. We wanted to use the stairs as the elevators were crowded. All doors to the parking levels were locked. Major Safety Violation

Celebrating my friend's birthday at MGM National Harbor in April 2023 was an experience filled with luxury, convenience, and delightful surprises. This hotel proved to be an excellent choice for such a special occasion. The spaciousness of our room, especially the bathroom, was perfect for getting ready for the birthday festivities. The presence of a convenient store right downstairs was a lifesaver, offering a variety of last-minute gift options for my friend, making it easy to add an extra touch of thoughtfulness to the celebration.Dining at Ginger, the hotel's renowned Oriental restaurant, was a highlight. Its diverse Asian menu provided a delightful culinary experience, ideal for starting or ending a night. The lively atmosphere of the restaurant, coupled with the anticipation of possibly meeting interesting people at the casino, added an exciting element to our stay. For those seeking local flavors, Milk & Honey, not far from the hotel, is a fantastic option. It offered a taste of the local cuisine, adding an authentic touch to our culinary explorations during the stay.

Rooms were pricey. Didn't have my penthouse suite ready when I checked in. Waited about 2 hours for my room. They tried to accommodate me with a 10% discount. Still paid $1500 a night. Ambience is nice. Restaurant's in the hotel/ casino needs more options. They need a free shuttle to harbor & outlets. My experience was interesting. I stay 3 nights.

Had a great time at MGM Casino. The Bento Sushi Bar was fantastic and the service there was amazing. The slots went up and down but played well if you are trying to gain points for comps. The Felt Lounge was so much fun! The bartenders were wonderful and the drinks were top notch! The club at night was fun too…an older, mature crowd but a lot of fun.

First off, you pull up to valet parking. They greet you, very kind and take care of you right away. You walk inside to a beautifully themed decorated building. Food was good and the bar had live music. I went to a Fantasia concert. I was impressed by the way the crowd was handled. Concert seating was great. Wasn't a bad seat I'm the building.

Beautiful complex of gambling, casino, hotel and events venue. Went for 2 nights of poker. The poker room is full and lively, you could easily find a 1-3 / 2-5 game. The staff were professional and helpful. At evening you might run into the occasional blackjack gambler trying to run it up in the poker room 😉 I had a great time and looking forward to visit again.

Just a quick stop in so I can't comment on rooms. It does look like a very nice place for a stay. Easily accessible fromthe highway. The casino floor is not overly huge but plenty of machines to play. There's plenty to eat also. I would revisit for a show and stay. Not a huge gambler.

Rooms are nice but tiny design problems they should fix. The shower is gorgeous but water leaks out the doors. The bathroom is nicely designed but they encased the mirror so if you are over 6’3 you might hit your head. But it is high tech and very clean. Also free parking on level 4 but it is a hike through the casino. Just wished people wouldn’t pee in the garage . They were cleaning it the day we checked out. So good in them. The front desk staff was helpful. Overall a great stay. Although the food choices are very subpar inside the casino you have other nearby.

I loved the casino. Although I couldn't get assistance while there the gaming experience was good. Nice selection of machines. We were there 3 1/2 hours, could not get assistance, not one server came. That was the only downside.

Large, clean, and modern, but.... The food is overpriced and underwhelming. After coming to shows or the casino floor several times, there's a pretty clear pattern. Cocktail choices are basic and the price is twice what other nice venues charge. Reservations are not honored on time. There is a general feeling that you are held hostage to the options that are there instead of a classic Vegas experience.

My inaugural casino experience at MGM National Harbor was thoroughly enjoyable. Winning most of the $1 games added to the excitement, making it a great place to hang out. Beyond the gaming aspect, it's a fantastic destination even for those who don't wish to play but want to experience the lively atmosphere. The casino's ambiance, amenities, and overall entertainment value contribute to a memorable visit. Whether you're a seasoned gambler or just looking for a vibrant social setting, MGM National Harbor Casino offers a dynamic and entertaining environment for all.

Really nice Hotel. Great service, BUT if I’m paying $400 $500 dollars a night then I expect for the rooms to be on point. The BLACKOUT CURTAINS are horrible. No matter if you use them, they won’t cover the whole window therefore allowing light in your room at 630am. Can’t stay here again paying these prices and the hotel going cheap on this because I’ve asked people that work here and they have said people complain about the curtains all the time. People complain and you still do nothing about it????????😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤

Arrived with my family and was provided with great service. The one thing that I can say is that the wellness room are worth the money. Getting around the hotel is easy and currently there is enough tables to gamble. I would say that they need to work on upgrading the fast food court.

We did not stayed at the hotel. We went to MGM to have fun and eat. We ate at Shake Shack. The hamburgers are very delicious. They are very busy and since they cook their meals until you place your order be patient. With our two cheese burgers it took about 20 minutes to receive our order. The MGM Casino and Hotel is very clean with more than enough restaurants.

This hotel is gorgeous. It has a grandiose lobby and a magnificent atrium. The view outside of the atrium is the harbor that sits on the peaceful Potomac River. There are a couple of restaurants in the atrium to dine and have parties, but you won't feel disappointed if you step out of the hotel to get more choices. There are many good restaurants and boutique shops around the hotel. You can have a pleasant walk in the nearby streets to appreciate nice sculptures along the way. There is also a nice walkway to allow you to have a 30 min walk to the MGM casino, which is another landmark nearby. The guest room is standard and clean. The staff members are polite and provide service promptly. It is a place that you can visit for fun without being the hotel guest.

Had a great experience at MGM. We played slots and table games. The food was great, as we ate at a few spots in the food court area. The bar tenders were great, very responsive, helpful, and made great cocktails. We did not stay at the hotel, but plan to return to experience that side as well.

Hotel is five star, love coming here as a local and feeling a bit of Vegas as well. Different options for food and has shake shack! Does have outdoor space and Fridays are very busy but not to busy for a slot machine. Poker tables were very busy, sports book area was great. Parking is free and great to find due to green and red lights for open or not open spots.

I didn't stay in a room and so I can't speak to that. Visited the Casino and didn't win anything this visit. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and fun. We went to the Shake Shack and got the fries and Pomegranate Lemonade which was good. I loved the artwork throughout MGM as it was eclectic and artsy. We went into a few of the shops and my family and I just walked around exploring. The outside fountain with the pictures on the projection screen was a nice feature while relaxing.

Stayed here for a work event. At Christmas they do a really elaborate display in the lobby that they were building while I was there. It was really interesting to see how much went into it. The rooms were spacious and very clean, but the towels were very old, and the curtains and the walls had stains. It was kind of like the things that were hard to clean showed that people had been having a lot of fun in the rooms. The only real complaint I had was that the shower was very hard to get the temperature right. It took forever to warm up, and then if it was too hot, it took forever for the temperature to change. I was on a tight timeline to get ready one morning and it took over ten minutes to get a reasonable temperature. The gym has a lot of free weights and weight machines which were nice. The rower and bikes were old and not great. The hotel has a fairly relaxed vibe which was surprising given that it’s a casino. The staff was great. There’s lots of convenient things in the hotel, like a mini CVS type shop and multiple fast casual and dine-in restaurants. Overall, I was pleased with my stay and would stay again.

Visited for a conference which the facility was great for. There are a number of good restaurants on site in addition to the casino. My only real gripe was the amount of white light spilling in all night long from the linear sconce lights on the building's facade. It made sleeping a challenge.

Only went to the Casino and Lobby. Did remind me of Vegas. It was very nice. I saw several reviews that said there were only $50 or $25 minimum blackjack tables. Maybe because I went during a weeknight, but there were some $15 minimum blackjack tables. Stopped by the poker room upstairs and it looked nice. It was quiet.
